I'm having a fire tonight and I want to try putting fluid and gas in an empty water bottle, and tossing it in. But I know very little of chemistry and don't know if mixing the two could create a dangerous mixture (that could do something harmful before being thrown in the fire).

My niece is on a vinegar kick. It does eliminate a lot of Oder's. The demin couldn't get no worse. Try soaking in a vinegar and water mix. Or just washing them with half cup vinegar added to the wash. Good luck and let us know if you get the odor out.

Bleach and lighter fluid.... Bleach is a water-based solution. Lighter fluid is a liquid hydrocarbon. The two will not mix well. It's like oil and water. I would use them individually, instead. Which would work better depends on what you are trying to clean. Try one and then the other, but I wouldn't worry about trying to mix them.
