Will I Keep Service If I Reset My Iphone

Can I factory reset my I phone but keep my number? Do I need to take out the SIM card first?

When a phone is reset, it erases all user settings, files, apps, content, contacts, emails, and so on. It is like a fresh install of the operating system. The phone number and service provider are stored on the SIM and this is not erased. There is no need to take it out.On an Android phone, go to Settings > General Management > Reset. (Different versions of Android name menus differently.)On an iPhone go to Settings > General > Reset.

My iphone says "No Service"?

I got rid of mine because of the very same reason. I had to keep resetting the network settings in order to connect to the internet. It must be the network service provider, you will need to travel around bit in order to get a reception. Have you re set the settings of the whole phone.

Also plug it into itunes and update the software. if it's new you have to do this anyway.

download install and plug your phone, click on the iphone tab which should appear on the left and update the software.

Why is my phone saying i have no service?

Okay so last night my phone just automatically said I have no service. well i thought as time went by, it would get service back. But its the next day, and my phone still says i have no service, which is odd because i always have service in my house. Whats wrong with it?? (btw, i have T-mobile)

IPhone keeps saying no service?

So I started having this problem today, tried to make a call on my iPhone and I noticed it said No Service. Then like an hour later it's showing my network connection, then in the next few minutes it says No Service again. It just keeps going back and forth. I can still get wifi and all that, just cant make phone calls or texts. I turned my phone off and reset it, checked all my cellular settings, everything. I'm not late on my bill. I don't know if it has to do with bad reception in my area because my dad is able to get a signal on his phone just fine. Also, my carrier is T-Mobile.

If I restore my iPhone, will I lose everything? How can I stop this from happening?

When you restore your device (iPad,iPhone) it erases everything and then reinstalls the core applications and OS.Backups are for times when you loose your device, it gets damaged, or you are upgrading to a new device. Apple has setup iCloud to allow you to back up your device completely. It also has provided a way to restore everything except the applications without having to restore from a backup. Why you might ask?Your device has a lot of things going on in the background besides what programs you are using. All this activity and changes are captured in the backup. Sometimes communication between backup (done through WiFi) gets garbled. Sometimes the garble happens in the device you are using that causes problems. Those problems are saved in the full backup. If Apple runs diagnostics on your device and there are no errors, then the issue you are having is most likely software. When this happens you need to restore your device to factory settings and set up as a new device. You can not restore from a backup without putting the problem back on the device.By turning iCloud Photo Library on, and set to put originals in the cloud, and turning on from the main iCloud page the items like contacts, etc. these are backed up separately. Then after the restore all you need do is log into your iCloud account after selecting set up as new. All your photos will come back along with contacts, messages, etc. Only the applications will need to be reinstalled and the device personalized after.

If I reset my iPhone 5S, do I lose my phone number and carrier plan? Or will it just erase the data on it.?

My iphone for some reason only has about 3gb left! I don't know why, so I want to reset it and if I do will it go back to the original space it has? And will I lose my phone number and have to buy another plan? I'm really confused and scared of what might happen.

What happen if I factory reset my iPhone and which version of iOS will I be on after the reset (currently running on iOS 11)?

ProcessBefore you do a reset on your iPhone, do a “sync” to iCloud or your PC to protect your data. Plug your iPhone into a charger and make sure the battery has a full charge. You reset your iPhone through its “Settings” app. When you tap “General,” the iPhone displays a long screen of options; the “Reset” option is at the very bottom. Tap it and you see a list of different reset operations. To perform a complete reset, tap the second item, “Erase All Content and Settings,” and then “Erase iPhone.” Do not disturb the device until it finishes erasing data; this can take from a few minutes to over an hour. After erasing its data, the iOS software restarts itself.Personal DataBy resetting your iPhone, you remove any apps you installed along with your personal data, including notes, appointments and contacts. The iPhone returns to its original factory settings. If you’re selling your iPhone, you can do it with confidence after resetting it, as it no longer has your information.Factory SoftwareReset does not remove the iOS software most recently installed on the iPhone, including any upgrades you may have downloaded. IOS is necessary to run the iPhone; without it, the device cannot perform fundamental operations such as turning itself on or connecting to the cellular phone network. Original, factory-installed apps such as Phone, Camera and Calendar also remain, though reset clears their records out.BackupsData copied to your PC or Apple’s iCloud service during the sync operation remains when you reset the iPhone. If your phone has developed a problem that only a reset will fix, you can restore the data by doing a sync after the reset. This loads your apps and data into the phone, bringing it back to the state with which you are familiar. If you did not sync immediately before resetting, any data you may have added to the phone since the last sync, such as photos, music or new contacts, will be lost. If you do not have access to any sync data, you will have to rebuild your iPhone contacts, calendar and other personal information by hand.

If I do a factory reset on my tracfone, will I lose all the talk, text, and data?

It should be fine. You will lose every that is ON the phone but Tracfone will remember your activation, service days, minutes (and for Android phones the text and data bucket totals).

I factory reset my Android Tracfone w/ no restoration of any backed-up apps/data and it still had its days and minutes/texts/data buckets. I did need to re-install the Tracfone widget to see them (since Android Tracfones don't have a Tracfone airtime display built in), or I could have checked in my account at the Tracfone site.

TIP - back up to a computer or cloud anything you don't want to lose. For example, I went into Contacts, exported those to a VCF aka Vcard file then mailed that file to myself and I saved off my photos. After I reset, I restored some photos and I imported the Vcard file to get my contacts back.

Will I have to back up my photos before a screen repair?

In any general repair shop, the shop person may try to dig into your personal data and information. So, it’s always sensible to backup all your data and reset your device before giving it to the service person.
