Will I Lose Weight If I Work Out 4 Days A Week

Can i work out 7 days a week? 2-3 hours a day? to lose weight?

Hey sweetheart!

In working out 7 days a week, 2-3 hours each day, your body will not have nearly as much energy as it would require to be a beneficial decision. What I mean by that, is that your body will definitely not have enough nutrition and energy to make this work to your benefit. You will end up losing muscle tissue, as opposed to fat storage, setting yourself up to gain all the weight back again.

A few rules of thumb to abide by:

NEVER exceed 90 minutes of physical activity (working out), unless you have been training for a LONG time, and it is part of your lifestyle. Especially if you are just starting on a workout regime. Your muscles will not be able to handle this- You will be in a LOT of pain. More so, you will run your body down, and will not be able to continue with this workout regime. Make sure your workout regime is something you will be able to keep up with for a lifestyle.

You need to have one rest day every week. Make it easier by choosing the same day. For instance, my rest day is every Sunday. The rest of the week is scheduled into categories and body areas.
That rest day is very important- It provides your body with the necessary time to recooperate before the next 6 days of physical activity.

I suggest doing 3 days of 30-45 minutes cardio, 1 day of 45-60 minutes cardio, and 2 days of resistance training (Lower body and Upper body).

At least to start. As you go, you can increase the times and difficulties, but you need to do this gradually so that your body can adjust. Otherwise you will not get the results you want.

Make sure you are getting protein in every meal (5-6 small meals per day). And make sure you eating 30 hour before and 30 hour after your workouts (Protein, protein, protein!)

You want to focus on building some muscle. Muscle in itself burns calories (on its own!!) which is awesome. Also, it takes up much less room in your body, so that you lose inches, without necessarily losing pounds. ( A more healthy method of losing fat! )

Will I lose weight faster if I work out for two hours a day instead of one hour a day?

It really depends on what you consider a “work out” . If you’re talking about something simple like steady walking or easy bike riding, then yes, 2 hours can help. If you’re talking something more intense, like like vigorous swimming or jogging, then no, and if youre talking weight training or HIIT, then absolutely not.The more intense your exercise is, the more recovery you’ll need. For weight training, 3–4 days per week at 45 minutes per session is the best (4 times per week if you’re advanced and working on different parts of your body in pairs)If you go beyond that, your body is going to give up, because you wont have enough nutrients. Then you’re going to want to eat much more, and its been said over and over on your question, the biggest part of losing weight is eating less.

Gym 5 days a week, and not losing weight!!?

I'm 20 years old, 5'3, and 177 lbs. Everything I read online says I'm obese. I've been going to the gym 5 days a week for two weeks. I stay for an hour each time and do mostly cardio with some weight lifting. I'm not losing weight! I eat very healthy, no junk, no soda. What, if anything should I do different, and when should I start seeing the results I expect?

Is working out 4 days a week enough?

4 days in a week is in fact the best way to workout…if you are skinny and want to gain weight I would suggest working out only 3 days a week…and if you want to lose weight then 4 to 5 days a week is enough…put more of your focus on your diet and get a good 8 hour sleep everyday…

How many times a week should you exercise to lose weight?

Those sessions you do sound high intensity. After excercise people's bodies need around 1-2 days rest between sessions for its systems to fully recover depending on a number of factors. If you were doing low intensity sessions, for example 1 hour light walking a day, you could probably do excercise every day. Without experiencing overtraining.

However since the body can adapt to slowly introduced stresses pretty well compared to big stresses introduced fast, and since it takes about 4-12 weeks for peoples bodies to adapt to a new excercise stress, you could add a Cardio session to the days inbetween your intense days. Only if you raise the intensity of these Cardio sessions very slowly. This can be done by having short sessions and building up to long sessions. I recommend the plan below:

Wednesday: Cardio
Thursday: Cardio
Friday: Swimming 1 hour 30+ PE in school for 1 hour 40 mins
Saturday: Cardio

PLAN
Week 1 adaption - All Cardio sessions increase intensity to 15 minutes
Week 4 adaption - All Cardio sessions increase intensity to 30 minutes
Week 8 adaption - All Cardio sessions increase intensity to 45 minutes
Week 16 adaption - All Cardio sessions increase intensity to 60 minutes
Week 20 adaption - All Cardio sessions increase intensity to .... minutes (follow pattern)

CARDIO SESSIONS
Cardio sessions are perfect for losing weight (fat).

how long? gradually build up. 1 hour satisfactory
what? nonstop movement. For example easy; walking, cycling, swimming

Everyone reacts differently to excercise so test yourself, listen to how your body reacts and how you feel in general. And decide if you need to reduce or increase the intensity of the cardio sessions via time lengths, if you need more time to rest and recover.

If i starve myself for 4 days how much weight would i lose?

How much weight you will lose from starving depends on a few factors. How much do you exercise? How much do you weigh? How tall are you? What is your body fat percentage? How much muscle do you have?

When your body realises that it is starving it goes into starvation mode. The human body lowers its metabolism (burns as little energy as possible). It starts to build fat stores and doesnt burn fat stores for fuel. It starts to use protein as its main energy source (which it gets from breaking down your muscles). Now keep this in mind. You will see weight loss but not necesarily fat loss.

To answer your question I would say you would lose about 1 kg of body weight for 4 days of starvation. It isnt much and it wont be worth the struggle it takes to control your hunger and the fact that it will be mostly muscle that you have lost in terms of the weight that you lost. Also the damage done to your metabolism and the time it will take for your body to regain its former glory from you starving yourself.

If I workout four days a week and on wknds eat normally will I still loose weight?

to lose weight u need to eat right and have a workout plan 5-6 days a week.u have to want it.
***try this u need to change ur diet.
eat six times a day. ea of ur 3 main meals needs to combine a lean protein such as chicken breast ground turkey turkey bacon egg whts also combine that with a complex carb such as a baked potato or sweet potato wild rice brown rice oatmeal or girts. also add fresh fruit and vegies to lunch and dinner. pick fruits low in sugar like pears and berries. if u get canned vegies get ones with low sodium. eat every 3-4 hrs keep ur metablism moving.
***also the most important part is WATER drink at least 64oz. no soda or juice. water will curve ur cravings.
u need to hit cardio 3-4 times a week running outside it great workout if u can hit a gym and cardio machine is great at least 30mins***
also add weight/strength training 3 times a week.u can google free weight traning guides anywhere. its not hard to find things for free. also for those wanting sexy hot abs. a nice toned stomach comes from a body with low body fat. so if ur overweight and u do a million crunches or any ab workout you r wasting your time!!! cant see the muscles under fat. low body fat equals=a nice flat toned stomach.
***plan ur meals ahead of time.always have a healthy snack with u so u wont be tempted to eat fast food. also if u wait to late to eat u will get so hungry u will eat the world. make time to work out start out with 30 mins then increase.its ur body treat it right. ur diet alone can help lose weight but working out makes ur body look good. shows muscles and tight skin which is sexy and beautful. stick with it ur body will amaze u!!! to be healthy and look great u need both in ur life. good luck email me if u have further questions
