Will The Sims 3 work on my vista laptop?
Sims 3 will run on the ASUS X58L series. The single core Intel Celeron 575 2.0 GHz is sufficient. The CPU is comparable to the older 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 processor in the system requirements for Vista. You would already know that 2 GB would make the game better as 1 GB of RAM is way too low especially on Vista. The Intel 965 chipset means it is using the Intel GMA3000. It meets the minimum requirements. As it is on the low end, expect to play it at the lowest settings for smooth gameplay and performance.
Will the sims 3 work with a dual core 1.8 ghz processor?
The requirements for the game are as follows: CPU Speed Minimum: (XP) 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent; (Vista) 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent RAM Minimum: (XP) 1 GB RAM; (Vista) 1.5 GB RAM [If built-in graphics then add 0.5 GB additional RAM] OS Minimum: Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or Windows Vista (Service Pack 1) Video Card Minimum: 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 Features: Minimum attributes of your Video Card Video RAM - 128 MB 3D - Yes Pixel Shader version - 2.0 Free Disk Space Minimum: 6.1 GB Make sure you have better than those if possible as running with just the minimum requirements may cause a low frame rate I hope that helped and good luck with the laptop hunting

Will Sims 3 work on my acer laptop 5332. ??
I just got a new laptop for christmas and i really want to get sims 3 on it but I dont know if it will work. Please help before I go and buy it and waste my money. Thanks xxx
Sims 3 requires a 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent ?
Yes, it will run SIMS 3 fine. It says that it requires a P4 2.4GHz. Your processor speed is only 2.0GHz. However, you have a dual core processor. That more than makes up for it because because (2)processors running at 2GHz is just slightly under 4.0GHz in processing power. Your RAM appears to meet the specs you have listed for SIMS3. The Intel Graphics Media Acc X3100 has a pixel 3.0 shader in it. So, it will run the game.
Will The Sims 3 run on this (Acer) laptop?
I'm getting a new laptop and I really want to be able to play Sims 3 (+ the expansions) on it. After doing some searching, I found this Acer Aspire AS4745G laptop. Do you think it will run Sims 3? Some requirements for Sims 3: 2.0 GHz processor (XP) or 2.4 GHz processor (Vista) or equivalent 1 GB (XP) or 1.5GB RAM (Vista) 6.1GB of hard drive with 1GB additional space 128 MB video card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 Some facts about the Acer Aspire AS4745G: RAM: 6GB DDR3 1066MHz Processor: Intel Core i5-450M Processor 2.4GHz Hard drive: 640GB S-ATA (5400rpm) Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD5650 1GB DDR3 If this won't work, I'd appreciate getting a suggestion on some other laptop within the same price range. Thanks in advance! (The Acer comes with Windows 7, but I don't think it should be a problem. On the back of the expansion packs, it says that Windows 7 is supported. If it works with the EP's, it should work with the original game, I think.)
How well does the game "The Sims 3" play on a Macbook laptop?
Well, the specs for The Sims 3 are:2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent.1.5 GB RAM.128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0.Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1.At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games. The Current model Macbooks, especially the Macbook Pros, most definitely fit the requirements. While I would never recommend Apple tech for gaming, it is your personal preference. Also, There is one misconception in your answer. In most cases, playing powerful games on weak systems doesn’t usually create glitches. Instead, this will create poor visuals and performance issues. Weak and damaged GPUs will create visual glitches, only because the processor can’t handle the needs of the game. Sims 3 for that matter, is not very demanding. I see no reason as why the Macbooks can’t handle it.
