Will This Build Be Able To Run Bf4/dayz On High Settings

Can I upgrade my Dell XPS 410 to play Battlefield 4 or DayZ?

Basically, I shelled out a ton of money for a Dell XPS 410. Yes, I overpaid, but it's still a decent computer. It plays games like Fallout 3, Oblivion, and Left 4 Dead 2 on medium quality with absolutely no lag, and runs high settings with the occasional stutter in FPS. Here are the specs.

Windows XP Professional
Intel Core 2 CPU 6600 @ 2.4ghz
2GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 7900GS
600 GB Hard Drive

If I change the video card, processor, and upgrade the ram, could it support more advanced games like Skyrim, BF4, and DayZ? If so, would it be cheaper than paying $1,000+ for a completely new rig?

Really good "GAMING PC" build for $600 including OS and Monitor that can run DayZ and BF4?

It will be very difficult. You are literally giving yourself a 400 dollar budget if we assume that the OS is Win8 (100 dollars) and the monitor (100 dollars), that becomes apparent.
CPU: AMD ATHLON X4 750K
MOBO: MSI FM2 A55M E33
GPU: RADEON 7770 GHZ EDITION
HDD: 500GB WESTERN DIGITAL CAVIAR BLUE
RAM: 4GB KINGSTON HYPERX
CASE: NZXT SOURCE 210
PSU: CORSAIR 400X CX400
OS: WINDOWS 8
MONITOR: HP LE2201W
This isn't going to run every game at full settings, least of all Battlefield. however, these are the best specs for 400 dollars that you can get. maybe you could increase your budget to 700 dollars and get a cheap monitor off ebay, then you could get something that could play Battlefield. You might also be able to get Windows 8 off ebay, also the optical drive.

Is the File compressed? If you get a ISO file than you can use Ultra ISO or Power ISO to mount that file.If it’s in Zip, Rar or any other compressed format than you should use 7 Zip or Winrar to extract Files. If it’s an executable file then just go and install it and start enjoying your favourite game. One more Tip: Ocean of Games only provides games for PC running MS. Windows But GamesTorrent is a website where you can download games for all your gaming console including MAC, PSP, Xbox 360.Additionally, You can also download games by Torrent and Direct Download.

How many lines of code do big games have?

I have worked on some AAA games and have contributed to their source code. These games were mostly on Nintendo DS, DSi, Wii, iOS and Android. I have seen PS3 games' code too, but couldn't get a chance to work on them.I haven't actually counted the lines in any of the source code. But as far as I remember, the source code are not too much huge than a casual game. Of course the older classic games had a huge amount of source code attached to them, but that included the source of the engines too. These days engines handle most of the work. Even UI and fonts have been as easy as just drag and drop without requiring a single line of code. I remember how painful was it to code for a font to appear properly. So if you ask me about classic games, mostly on DS/DSi, they were close to half a million lines of code. But recently the games have been limited to 100–200K lines at max. My last game Hammer, Inc. had close to 10,000 lines of code in the first version. The second version which I am currently working on is currently sitting on 50,000 lines of code and is still incomplete. The AAA games benefit from vast libraries and better game engines though, thus the actual line a developer has to write for that particular game never crosses 100K lines. The choice of programming language also affect the lines. C++ is too verbose and needs a lot of code to do a single thing, while C# is too compact and can do most work in few lines of code. Python on the other hand is completely magic, although I am sure no AAA game has been made in Python.I hope the information was helpful.

What is a good graphics card?

I want to build a Gaming PC and while I have done some research, I am still pretty inexperienced with the various types of components ( I just figured out what a reference card was lol) but I wanted to get some suggestions on a graphics card that cost no more than about $250, has at least 2gb of Vram and can play games like DayZ, Battlefield 4, and Star Citizen and relatively high graphics settings. I don't really want to spend any more than about $600-700 for my entire build but I will go a little above if needed. Any suggestions are helpful! (besides a Titan, No one has that kind of money) lol... thanks!

Pentium G3258 vs AMD Fx-6300 (FAST)?

Hi, I'm going to build a pc for gaming.
I'm gonna play games like:
Bf4 , Nba 2k15 , some rpgs like the witcher 3, the next cod, and some other games that are not that heavy.

I am not the kind of person that needs to play everything on ultra, but I want at least +40fps on 1080p at high settings and maybe some at medium atleast.

So i don't really know what to pick, Pentium G3258 or AMD fx 6300??
The prices in my country are 75€ (81$) Pentium and 110€ (119$) Amd.

I'm going to pick the XFX R9 270x or maybe a GTX 760 Ti. Don't know yet.

So, my question is, which one should I pick? I'm planning to overclock it if it's needed.
And also, I know the pentium have better single-core performance, what's the advantage of that? Because if amd have six cores, even with worse single core performance it can be better, right?
