Arma 3 PC build to run on ultra 60 fps?
what would be a good PC build to run Arma 3 on ultra at around 60 fps. i joined a realism unit and currently run arma off an older lenovo laptop (got it last year) and it just isnt doing as well as i want. i got a good paying job so money isnt really an issue. what would you recommend for a GOOD PC build? i am great with assembling them and software etc... but am not really the best at deciding what parts to buy. also needs to be wireless or connected via ethernet cable MUST HAVE BOTH OPTIONS and i do like to watch movies as well, i do not need a monitor because ill be using a TV i need a powerful desktop PC and also maybe a good gaming mouse (the one i own now is a cheap walmart mouse) it would be nice if it could also run GTA V on ultra or high. plus do you recommend i7 or AMD and what are the benefits of both? I have a tight budget, and I just want to play on mid-high settings (if not, ultra) with a good FPS rate. I have 1k saved up. Is that enough for a gaming computer?
Before you look any further, DO NOT purchase a pre-built PC such as the previous answers suggest. Pre-built computers from companies such as Alienware will only offer you overpriced PC's. If you go to your local PC store they usually can suggest parts for you to build your PC yourself or you can generally get them to build the PC for you (for a small fee). I asked my local PC store to get me a build which would run certain games which I listed (BF4, Skyrim, etc.) and they found the necessary parts and built it for me. This got me more value for my money. To answer your question directly, $1000 is plenty to get you a PC which will run BF4 on high with a solid FPS (frames per second). My PC cost me $900 and it runs BF4, Titanfall, Skyrim, etc on high. Trust me, get a custom PC rather then buying any brand PCs. Don't get me wrong, Alienware will give you a decent PC but you can get a better one for less the price. Notes: 8GB Ram is more than enough i5 Processer is more than enough

Okay, so I bought this computer and I was wondering if It could handle these demanding games on high/ultra settings: Far Cry 3, Microsoft Flight Simulator, BF4 (when it comes out), Watch Dogs (also when it comes out), and more demanding simulators/sandbox games? Low fps in Nfs rivals?
I just downloaded NFS Rivals nd I'm getting good fps in the menus but in the game that is the free roam or race, there I get fps like 10-15 and the game is like running in slow motion.I've added the command to the shortcut which is like -gametime force...... After that I got 60 fps in the menus but as soon as the first training starts the game runs at 10-15 fps. I have Fifa 14 running smooth, splinter cell:blacklist and some other latest game which are running so well......so why not NFS:Rivals.My rig is Intel Pentium dual core @ 2.60 ghz Ram:3gb Nvidia Geforce 9400 gt @512 mb Windows vista sp2
Can you see 60FPS on a 60hz monitor?
A 60hz monitor refreshes 60 times per second. So technically it can only show 60 different frames in one second, even if your card can deliver more. In reality a difference can be noticed because of the timings not being matched between the FPS and the refresh rate. The game is running at 105fps, and your screen is letting you see 60 out of those 105 frames. 105 - 60 = 45 frames you aren't seeing when you play. If you had vsync on the game would run at 60FPS, and see you'd see all or most of the 60 frames. You'd be best to use vsync unless you upgrade to a 120hz monitor.
Can a GTX 1080 TI play every game in 4k 60 FPS?
Absolutely! This GPU is currently overkill for most games that are out there and I don’t own any game that cannot be played at the highest settings possible. Of course there are a few AAA games that can still challenge the 1080ti coming in just under 60fps on highest settings, but at 4k you can afford to turn down settings like anti-aliasing to achieve a steady 60fps given the diminishing returns from higher oversampling. For now the 1080ti looks like it will future proof your gaming experience for at least a few years.
What games can I run on an Nvidia GeForce 920m?
Depends what you mean by gaming, playing LoL or counterstrike in 720p then yes, playing battlefield or CoD advanced warfare in 1080p30fps minimum then most definitely no. With gaming in mind you never buy a laptop, laptops start throttling after an hour or so of heavy use. To explain better, due to increased heat output from the device components and since a laptop has tiny fans (even a huge fan under it on those expensive stands is not good enough ) the motherboard will decrease the frequency the componets run at to keep them in good condition for longer times or save them from burning out in an instant if you're unlucky. Soo... listen to the rest of the answers below as well since all of them contain good tips to find what you need.
