Error found Code 9C48 what does this mean?
I installed internet explorer 10 but it says 'some updates were not installed' and 'error code 9c48'. What does this mean? Also cannot access internet explorer at all...don't want to use google chrome.

go to add and remove software and remove ie8 if it's there it totally screws up things. it will revert back to ie7 after that.
Windows update error code 9C48 and Internet Explorer?
I just completely wiped my dell laptop hard drive, reinstalled Windows 7, and am trying to complete all of the windows updates, but I keep getting an error code 9C48. I looked it up and it seems to be related with internet explorer, so I tried to go to the "turn windows features on or off" and uncheck the internet explorer box, but an error occurs there too and says that not all of the changes were successfully completed. Before you attempt to simply google the issue, let it be known that I've tried to downgrade my internet explorer by installing a lower version, but all that happens there is it says I already have a later version of IE installed so it won't install. PLEASE DO NOT just copy and paste instructions from google telling me to install IE9, reboot, uninstall, etc. because either it doesn't work or I am not doing it correctly. Also when I go to view installed updates in the control panel, NOWHERE is there any version of internet explorer so I can't uninstall it or do anything there either. I really need to fix this soon so I can sell this laptop, so I would really appreciate some knowledgeable input here.
