Woke Up In Banana Sauce

What happens when you drink water after eating a banana?

Hi Doe, thanks for A2A.There's is a myth and a truth that surrounds the answer of this question. The fact is, you should not drink water immediately after having FRUITS & MEALS. When you eat your food or fruits, the acid from your digestive system starts the process of cracking food and absorbing essential nutrients from the it. If you drink water immediately, it disrupts this process resulting in slow or improper digestion in which nutrients are not absorbed properly and passed towards body exit. So, why point at banana only?Hope this helps.

Tongue piercing worry HELP!?

Oh boy, I remember that week after getting my tongue pierced. It was agony. I highly caution against eating hot soup, as heat stimulates blood flow and will make the swelling intensify. Cold stuff, cold stuff, cold stuff. Take Motrin for the swelling and pain.

To help regain some energy I'd recommend mashing up a banana as finely as you can and carefully eat it. Or maybe blend a banana with some crushed ice and plain soy milk. I know it sounds gross, but you're going to need to regain your strength somehow and popsicles aren't going to do that. Always make sure to rinse your mouth thoroughly with cold, clean water after eating or drinking anything (with the exception of water, of course). I ate a lot of non-sweetened, very cold, plain apple sauce the first week as well.

Don't drink energy drinks or caramel colored carbonated beverages, as they contain high amounts of citric acid which will hurt your tongue like nothing else.

I feel for you, I really do. I'm actually feeling sympathy pains because I remember those first few days after getting my tongue pierced and how I really wanted to die because my entire face hurt so bad. My nose stopped up, my tonsils were swollen, I got a pounding headache.

Just know that the swelling only lasts a few days and then you'll be able to start eating some soft foods like scrambled eggs, toast or jello. You're going to have to re-train yourself to eat because your automatic response will be to almost eat like a bird. You'll put food in your mouth and throw your head back trying to get the food to the back of your mouth, over the piercing, because you'll think that's the only way to chew. You'll start eating normally before too long and the swelling will go down and it will be fine.
