Working At Nike What Do I Look Like While At Work

Do Nike Dri Fit t-shirts work?

it doesn't matter what shirts you wear while working out; they will get wet from sweat.
Nike Dri-Fit t-shirts do a good job of keeping you cool while working out, and make you feel more comfortable than wearing just a regular t-shirt.

What is it like to work on advertising at Nike?

This question probably requires a little more specificity, or maybe a technical understanding of the advertising process. While Nike is the advertiser and has many employees involved indirectly in the creation of their advertising, the actual ads themselves aren’t created directly by Nike employees. In general, when you see commercials for big brands, the actual writing of the ads was done by an outside ad agency. (In Nike’s case, this is mostly done at Wieden & Kennedy in Portland, Oregon.) So the good folks at Nike, probably in the marketing/advertising department, would mostly be in charge of creating a strategy based on research, briefing the ad agency on it, and then sending them off to write a whole bunch of ideas for them. Then once the agency has presented many ideas, and Nike has selected the one(s) they like, Wieden & Kennedy would in turn hire a commercial/film production company to create the actual ad. That production company’s director would be in charge of deciding just how to cast, design, and shoot that ad. Then the ad would be edited and given visual effects by other companies in turn. So really, the folks at Nike aren’t so much working on advertising as they are hiring people who come up with ideas, who in turn hire a whole array of other people at other companies who really work on the ads.

What are some perks of working at Intel - Oregon as a SE?

I can't tell you about the location specifically or about the software engineer job specifically, but I can tell you a little bit about Intel.First, Intel values the health of their employees.  They're really big into ergonomics, since ergonomic injuries are the biggest risk for them.  When my group got moved out of a temporary office situation into the permanent remodeled one, we all got really nice chairs (looked it up and found it -- it's a $600 chair!) that lets you adjust pretty much everything.  I really miss that chair :( .  We also got motor-controlled adjustable-height desks.  Sick of sitting?  Switch to standing.  Move it up and down during the day whenever you're feeling just a little bit uncomfortable.  We also got to pick whatever ergonomic keyboards, mice, and monitors and monitor stands we wanted, all provided to us at no cost.  One of the managers offered to let me expense anti-CTS wrist straps when I noticed a little tightness in my arms.Next, Intel generally has a lot of perks on site.  Where I was in Chandler, AZ, they had onsite gyms and cafeterias, plus an onsite health care clinic.  The cafeteria had lots of different shops with some really good food.  I don't know what they have available at the Oregon site, but they probably have something.Intel offers steep discounts on computer parts to its employees.  While I was working there I got a Core i5 2500 for $100.  Nice.I don't know about anything specific to Oregon, but those things seem pretty universal.

What are good shoes to wear while working at McDonalds?

I work at McDonalds and the shoes I have now aren't very slip-resistant, and if I'm not careful I get hurt. I literally skate around the store when I need to do something.
So for anyone who works there currently, previously or just happens to know the answer I'd really appreciate brand names and specific style that you liked and where you got them/can get them. Or anything along that line anyway haha :) thank you!
