Highlighted my hair and regret it!!?

I have brown hair with little natural ashy highlights(was blonde when i was younger). I needed to change my hair color so i went to a salon and they added auburn/copperish and little greenish golden highlights. It looks totally fake and i wanted it to be so natural getting mingled into my natural hair color, but now since i end up with this (and it doesn't look that awful but i dun like it coz it looks totally different and doesn't match my natural hair color. what should i do, shall i dye all my hair with light brown ..but this will burn my hair as i have just highlighted it yesterday. MY question is how long do i have to wait to dye it and what color should i dye it as i dun want to darken it again and i have a wedding party that I have attend at the begining of FEB!! HELP!!! :(((((((

Blonde highlighted hair keeps showing through hair after dyeing it black/darkbrown?

Hello lovely people of yahoo answers,

Back in 2012, I got blonde streaks in my hair (full head).
Ever since mid 2013, I've been dying it dark brown with or black SUPERMARKET BOX DYE. However, my highlights keep showing through the dyed colour!

For example, when I dye my hair black the highlights are a chestnut brown colour after a week or two because of the fading process. I do not want to cut my hair short because of the dye.

So I was just wondering if going to the salon and getting it dyed black will cover my highlights permanently? Is there any product other than dye they can use over my highlights? Is salon dye stronger than box dye?

Or even better, is there any box dye that can get rid of my highlights?

Hair dye stings third time?

The first time I had color in my hair, I got red highlights and it just has the smell but no stings and this was last year April. Last month, I bought brown hair dye at Target for about $5 and my mom did it all over my hair, no stings. Right now, I'm getting dark red dye at the salon and the lady brushed it all over my hair and guess what? It STINGS SO MUCH! Well not so much but it's bearable. Am I allergic? Is this normal?

Do you think 13 year olds can get highlights (adults only)?

ok im about to ask my parents can i get highlight cuz i want them and ive created a whole powerpoint on reasons why SO grownups out there with children do you think a 13 year old female could get highlights (add reasons why you think or why you dont think a 13 year old should or shouldnt get highlights) :)

I have a few questions about dying my hair?

A semi-permanent dye will last either up to a certain number of washes (normally 12 or so) which should be from four to six weeks. Each brand differs, and should specify this on the box.

A permanent dye will not wash out, it will fade out; so it depends how quickly your hair grows, and how drastic the change is. Say, if you have brown hair and bleach it blonde after three or four weeks your roots will start coming through brown, whereas the rest of your hair is blonde. However, of you dye it darker this normally isn't a problem, and the colour of your hair will just gradually start getting lighter until it is completely back to your natural colour.

It depends, if you dye your hair red, or dye your hair a lot it may alter the natural colour of your hair. For example, i have natural blonde hair but i have dyed my hair red a couple of times, and used henna dye (in a coppery colour) so my hair would now be a little darker and have a reddish tone to it. However, if you don't dye your hair red, or too much, it should be fine.

No, hair dye can be good for your hair! Unless you bleach it. I've always wanted light blonde hair but my hair was brown from dying it before, so i got it bleached at a hairdressers. It completely ruined my hair but i've dyed it with normal dye since then, and used a few hair repair masks etc and it's fine now:) Very shiny and healthy. The fact that hair dye ruins your hair is a complete myth, use the right stuff and it should improve the quality of your hair! The right stuff isn't hard to find either, most ingredients that used to be used in hair dye and could ruin your hair have been made illegal to put in, or have stopped being used.

Those highlights will go back to your natural colour the same way a permanent dye would. If it's being bleached and the change is quite drastic your roots will come through and you will either have to re-bleach them, let them grow out to your natural colour or dye over them. (Note; you can not bleach your hair with a box of hairdye, or with semi-permanent dye, you will have to buy a bleaching kit or go to a hairdressers)

I dye my hair a LOT, so i think i should know what i'm on about:P Hope i've helped x

How do hair dye chemicals get in your system?

How do the chemicals in hair dye get into your system and how dangerous is it? Does it have to be through skin contact (like scalp) or if you only put it on the ends of your hair will it still get into your system somehow? More specifically if I just put toner on the ends of my hair would that be harmful to my body? The reason I'm asking is because I had an allergic reaction to loreal hair color (skin rash) and I didn't get the color I wanted (needs toning) if I go to an aveda salon and get it toned would that be okay?
