Would You Be For Granting African-americans Their Own Ethno-state In America As Long As They All

Would you be for granting African-Americans their own ethno-state in America as long as they all relocate to it and stay there?

Many years back I worked in DC and saw a "news" paper produced by Louis Farrakhan, in it he demanded that all Blacks be released from prison, that the US give them a section of the US as their own country where only boys could attend school and women could be kept in their place.

So before (oops too late) liberals start calling everyone racist look at just who proposed it. Not a White guy, not a Conservative, not a redneck but a Black leader. I was going to say not a racist, but Farrakhan IS the epitome of racism and a major part of what is wrong with the US today and why racism will take a very long time to overcome.

Should African-Americans be granted their own ethno-state in America free from white oppression?

Yes they should and Michigan, and all the Eastern Seaboard should be theirs until they reach North Carolina and then go back white.

Should African-Americans be entitled to their own state?

"Entitled". No. That time has come and gone. But a compelling arguement can be made for an African-American State based on moral and historical reasons. Morally, sure a State would do a lot to ease white guilt over slavery. It would figure to be a solution to America's deep-seeded racial problems. It would also be a form of paying back reparations that have become a point of discussion lately. It's also feasible and could address other issues in the USA (more on this). There is some precedent here. A State has already been established , of course, in Africa (Liberia). There was a failed attempt to start one on Haiti. The USA also supports prefabricated nations such as Israel so supporting a new State isn't such a novel idea. The USA also has sovereignty over territories. While most are uninhabited, Puerto Rico and Guam are not and are territories that the USA oversees. Creating an African-American territory could possibly happen with US support for a period of time where it could be an independent Nation. Many current US states west of the Mississippi started out as territories so this isn't new. Where to start a new State? Well Alaska has enough open land to do so. There is plenty of space in the Mountain Time zone to form out an area for a new state. Perhaps the best solution would be to bring back the State of West Florida. It was what is now southern Mississippi and Alabama. Located on the Gulf of Mexico with a milder climate and land that could be farmed as well as being close enough and familiar enough to African-Americans, it would be ideal in a sense. A US territory created from two of the poorest states in the Nation that can be administrated in part by the Federal government would address the African-American statehood issue while also making these remaining states more manageable. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We...Precedent could also be considered in the Native American reservations that had been created. While the history and current conditions of these places is not so glorious, the idea is in place and would be another way of making this idea work. But would we go for it? Doubtful. As badly as the country has treated African-Americans , it's still our home and we're too rooted in this country to begin a new one. Maybe over time it would become something, but it would have to start modestly. Would we be entitled to this? Call it reparations and try to gather steam around the idea and maybe, just maybe it might catch on.

Would you be for granting White-Racist-Americans their own ethno-state in America as long as they all relocate to it and stay there?

I think it would be unfair to any offspring because eventually the population would become inbred. Only so many people in a secluded area for exclusive to a certain amount of one type of people can only hook up with others so long until they all become related with the same bloodline and DNA. Inbreeding results in homozygosity, which can increase the chances of offspring being affected by recessive or deleterious traits. This generally leads to a decreased biological fitness of a population, called inbreeding depression causing diseases such as Tay-Sachs, Gaucher, Canavan, certain breast cancer genes, Mucolipidosis IV, Bloom Syndrome and others.

Do you think African Americans should be rewarded any form of reparations?

Did you see the program that aired a few weeks ago called "Black in America"? Interestingly the family that was featured was not only descended from slaves, but from slave owners too. So that leaves the average person with the question of would they have to pay reparations as well as receive them?

There are also more issues with the subject of reparations. Are we going to go back to see what families were in the U.S. during the period of slavery? What happens to families that immigrated after slavery was abolished? If my family didn't come here until the 20th century and I'm ordered to pay reparations, you can bet I would challenge that on the grounds that my civil rights were violated.

What about "African Americans" that immigrated after slavery was abolished? I have a large number of friends from the Dominican Republic that are considered "black" but they're not "African American" nor were they slaves here in the U.S. Would they receive reparations as well?

There are also some people that argue that Affirmative Action is compensation. If an unqualified minority (whether black, female, Hispanic etc.) can get a college education, a job, a house etc before a more qualified person of the Caucasian majority, how is that not compensation?

There are too many problems and too many issues muddying up the waters in regards to the subject of reparations. What needs to be done is for the majority peoples and the minorities to work together and realize that working together is the only way to achieve true equality.

I think American gun laws are outdated and flawed. Am I wrong in my thinking?

Kind of low hanging fruit you are going here, but yeah, it would have been impossible for the Founding Fathers to have imagined eventualities. That is why we are allowed to amend our constitution. If the laws are not appropriate to the USA's needs today, find like minded people, draft an Amendment, get the signatures to get it on the ballot.Basically, take action, so your beliefs are consistent with your actions.Protesting, Twittering, ranting on YouTube, engaging in e-debate…one of that matters because it is low-effort/low result action. Putting in ACTUAL WORK…making an effort that goes beyond what you can organize or do on your smartphone ain't gonna cut it.One of the biggest constitutional losses we have had in recent history was when we were unable to get the ERA passed… that is the Equal Rights Amendment that would allow men and women to be treated equally under the law. It was really a heartbreaker when it was supported by presidents Nixon, Ford, and Carter, passed the House and Senate, but was not ratified by enough states, even after it’s deadline was extended considerably. Tragic. So, your being right or wrong is really just a grain of sand in the Sahara. A sandstorm, however, can be very, VERY powerful.

Since the majority of Americans don't own guns why won't the legislature simply repeal the 2nd Amendment?

Well, there are approximately 350 million Americans, of that number, 74.2 million (24% of the population) are under the age of 18, and are thus ineligible to own a firearm. Another 6.1 million (2%) are ineligible to own a firearm due to past criminal history. Another 43.8 million (18.5%) of people are barred from ovning a firearm due to mental illness. So far, that is 44.5% of the population, or about 124 million people, that are legally ineligible to own a firearm. There are estimates that between 20 and 30% of the population (87.5 — 105 million people) personally own at least one gun. Of the remaining 224 million people, between 38 and 47% of those people are personal gun owners. Please note, the actual number of gun owners is very likely much higher than reported, as people will often either hang up, or respond to a stranger asking if they own guns with “No" by default. It may be a minority, but it is a SIGNIFICANT minority, and how would we, as Americans react to depriving ANOTHER group that comprises about 30% of the U.S population of their rights? In any event, the legislature cannot simply repeal an amendment. It doesnt work like a normal law. They are, in effect, part of our Constitution. The only way an amendment can be done is through another Amendment. In order to pass an Amendment, 2/3rds of both houses of congress must approve the amendment, then 3/4ths of the state legislatures (38 states) must approve it. This is a practical impossibility. Sure, far-left states like California, New York, and New Jersey would be pretty much foaming and the mouth and quivering with excitement at a chance to repeal the 2nd Amendment, but states like Texas, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, etc would be impossible to convince.Furthermore, I would STILL have a right to own firearms, as the 2nd Amendment does not GRANT a right, in fact, none of the Bill of Rights amendments grant anything. They simply acknowledge that those rights exist, and the government has no authority to take them away.I dare say even the proposal to amend the Constitution to remove not just any amendment, but one of the first 10, our Bill of Rights, would be political suicide. I seriously doubt if the person dumb enough to try would even be able to get elected as a dog catcher ever again.

What would be a downside to the creation of a White ethno-state in the American west?

Libs are doing that now. Their perfected California. Two Classes. Peons who don't comprehend the language nor culture of their Better Elite Whites. But, they kneel anyway to such caring Betters.

Whom are more generous than their Betters south of the meaningless border.

Has rap music influenced white people’s perception of African Americans?

Has rap music influenced white peoples perception of African Americans? For this white person, yes.Understand, I’m old. When I first watched Bill Cosby it was in I Spy, in which he played a secret agent masquerading as a ‘tennis bum.’ Then I watched him in The Bill Cosby Show, in which he played a P.E. teacher at an LA high school. In neither series was he a ‘black’ dude; he was just an actor playing a role in a TV series.Diahann Carroll was still starring in Julia. Race wasn’t a factor in that series, either.Rap hadn’t been invented yet. I grew up listening to Aerosmith and Simon and Garfunkel and Queen and the Eagles and Johnny Mathis. Other than Mathis, none of the other singers that I listened to were black. I knew who Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Nat King Cole, The Platters, The Temptations, Otis Redding, and Sam Cooke were, but I didn’t listen to them – they were slightly before my time. Then suddenly I was listening to a lot of black singers. I loved Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Sly and the Family Stone, New Edition, Boyz II Men, Chaka Khan, The Pointer Sisters, Rick James, Minnie Riperton, Sister Sledge, and Stevie Wonder. But I didn’t listen to them thinking about their race – they were musicians first, black second. Then N.W.A. exploded on the scene, and everyone was aware of black entertainers. By that I mean black entertainers as black entertainers, rather than entertainers who were black. How could you not? Rap was HUGE, instantaneously (or so it felt). And they were shooting each other! Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac, obviously, but also Kadafi, Soulja Slim, and a host of others whose names I no longer remember.Their lyrics were aggressive, sexual, or both."I'm repping 6 Kiss cause I'm smooth like silk/Fuck your ho in the ass and her pussy squirted milk"– Lil BAnd:“And still fucking with them freak hoes/Stank pussy smelling like Cool Ranch Doritos"– Danny BrownOr:“I got blood on my hands and there's no remorse/And got blood on my dick cause I fucked a corpse"– DMXThe question is, how could rap music NOT influence white people’s perception of African Americans?
