Wow I May Have Been Taught Wrong But Is Theory A Fact

Where did the mass energy from the big bang theory come from?

Either mass energy is eternal or God is eternal. Something has to be eternal. Science has taught us a lot about mass energy, one of the things is it wears out. Mass energy eternal doesn't make any sense at all! God is eternal does make sense.

The universe has a beginning, and therefore requires a cause, the energy in the universe has a beginning and therefore requires a cause. People say, "Fine, God created the universe, but then who created God?" You see, God is eternal. God doesn't have a beginning and therefore doesn't require a cause, and that may be a little hard to grasp but there's nothing irrational about an eternal being, there is something irrational about something popping into existence from nothing, because that violates causality.

Evolution and the big bang theory?

all those who believe in the big bang theory answer this one question.if everything was in a ball of gas swirling and swirling then bang it gets sent all over the universe why did it stop?its space no gravity.there is no reason why it should have stoped.there were no stars to pull them in because the big bang had just happened.so as you can see if it is not possible why do you believe it and if the big bang did not happen then doesn't that leave only one option "creatianism"

Children learn concepts most readily through...?

its a little of both a and c the rules and boundaries helps set up how far a child can push before they have done “wrong” and have to be taught that pushing to far can be bad but pushing just right can show them how to learn appropriate things for their age. And with positive and negative instances its like the carrot and the stick they do it right they get a reward they do it wrong they don't or get a negative response (i.e. punishment) so this teaches them that while they are learning that some things are socially correct while others are not

but id go with c the most.

Is there room for science and faith to co-exist?

Yes,definitely. Both are not of different entities but are correlated.Science has tremendously contributed an overwhelming change in the picture of the world. With all advancement in technologies all people received immeasurable benefits as we could say.Modern facilities,to the recently wireless technologies and still researches going on to uncover things beyond ones imagination, and so on and so forth. All of those facts do you think are just correlated to science?Definitely not.Let take the SUN for example.Science says sun is a ball of fire and many theories has been postulated about it.Will just we look at a sun and just believe it as it is?Have not few wonderings generated in anybody's rational mind? There are so many things happening around which cannot be answered by scientific explanation. Could we just say it is a miracle...PERIOD! Whether anyone will acknowledge or not,it is merely the truth and fact that things beyond science explanation are beyond human mental capacity ,and THERE IS SOMEONE GREAT behind all of these.GOD ONLY KNOWS.
Let me add this excerpt from an article from the link below.
"In reality, early-modern science got its impetus from the intellectual and cultural milieu provided by Christianity. The pioneers of science worked within the general conviction that a reasonable God created a reasonable universe, and that by reasonable observation we might discover something of the truth of this universe."(1)(http://www.coshoctontribun...

I believe the theory of Evolution is nonsense, why do people believe it and require students to study it?

Hi,
Your Rabbi is incorrect and perhaps being dishonest or he has been grossly misinformed. DNA analysis has not disproved Evolution, in fact it has done much to support it.

It is clear from what you say that you have already made up your mind on the issue but since you did not appear to be sufficiently informed about evolution to suspect that the Rabbi was wrong I think you would do well to re-examine the issue with a open mind.

Firstly Darwin's theory of Evolution does not contradict scripture, it is perfectly compatible with it. So, before you dismiss it out of hand as nonsense, please consider it more carefully.

There are two separate issues; does evolution take place and is it sufficient to account for the diversity of life we see.

To the first we can confidently answer yes. Evolution has been observed in micro-organisms, the fossil record of horses and in recent history on the Pepper-Moth.

To second question is not properly a scientific one, since it is not repeatable or falsifiable. Neither is it a question that can be answered with certainty. However, there are good reasons to believe that it might have been sufficient to account for all life. Such reasons are to detailed to go into here but if you have more questions feel free to mail me and I will do what I can to present the evidence to you in an impartial manner as possible.

I must also point out one error in the other answers; fossil b claims evolution is wrong because acquired characteristics are not passed on to the next generation. This is not what Darwin claimed fossil has failed to grasp the basic concept of how evolution occurs, this is common when people dismiss ideas out of hand. In, fact, their used to be a competing theory of how species changed involving acquired characteristics being passed on, it was called Lamacism and Darwin was arguing against it.

Since Evolution can NEVER be proven. Why do people still believe this LIE?

Excellent question.

Ultimately people believe in Evolution because they want to believe that God does not exist and/or he did not participate in creating life on earth.

There is evidence for Micro*Evolution (adaptation; change within species; limited speciation).

However there is no real evidence/ proof for Macro*Evolution (unguided formation of completely new body plans/ phyla; unguided formation of completely new complex organs).

I used to be an atheist and used to believe in Macro*Evolution. (Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ. For a draft-version of my journey from atheism to Christ, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/...

And over time, I grew increasingly disillusioned with Macro*Evolution as well. E.g. for scientific and intellectual critiques of evolution, see http://www.godsci.org/gsi/apol/evo/00.ht...

I recognize now that Macro*Evolution is basically an Atheist Faith (and is held to by Atheist or Deist Faith).

Cordially,
John
