How do you swap friend codes in Pokemon x or y?
If I recall correctly you get friend codes either by trading or battling with someone a few times or by putting in the code manually from the home menu. Just click the icon and make sure that the other person has your code. For instance, my FC is 5257-9631-9874 and my username is OathKeeper. If you wanted to battle me or use my friend safari, all you'd have to do is give me yours otherwise it won't allow interaction between the two of us, y'know? P.S. That is my real info, so if you want you can put me down, y'know?

I just love Friend Safaris... ~(^- w -^) they're so awesome. Anywhoodles, I'm looking for a fairy type Friend Safari because I'm having a hard time finding one. Does anybody have one? In Pokemon X Y what are the benefits of the friend safari?
1) Pokemon found in the Friend Safari will have 2 IVs that are perfect. Baby Pokemon found in the Friend Safari are said to have 3 perfect IVs. 2) Pokemon found in the Friend Safari can be found with their Hidden Ability, as long as you and the other person have been online at the same time at some point. 3) Pokemon found in the Friend Safari will ignore version exclusivity. For example, it's possible to find Mightyena in a Friend Safari. Normally, you can only find it in X, but if you have Y and have a friend that has it in his/hers, you can catch one there instead of trading for one.

Can you play Pokemon X and Pokemon Y on the same 3ds with different data for EVERYTHING?
A 3DS may only have one Friend Code assigned to it by default at any given time; this friend code is shared across all users of that system so there would be no way of changing the friend code without formatting the system or using a different 3DS console. Otherwise, it's just not possible to change your friend code/safari without having separate consoles. As for playing with 'different data', digitally downloaded games will store data separately; if you download X and Y from eShop their data will always remain separate. For example, if I were to play X and save, when I launch Y I won't see my saved data from X appear; instead, the game will show my last Y save or start a new game completely. There would be no need to worry about overwriting anyone else's data as a result. The same applies to game cards, except the data will almost always be stored on the game card's internal memory, not the 3DS's SD card (excluding additional data for StreetPass/SpotPass etc) meaning you'd be perfectly capable of playing a game card Y version on any 3DS even if it's a shared console, while the digitally downloaded copy restricts you to playing the game on one console at all times.
