If you can remember the ID and Password you can try to log in and Yahoo will give you steps to reactivate the account and if the password does not work and you can remember your ID ...Click on I CAN'T ACCESS MY ACCOUNT after entering your ID...it is located on your sign in screen.
One of your options is " I have a problem with my password". Place a dot in the circle to the left of it .. click on NEXT and follow the prompts...

If the above is not successful....

Once a yahoo account is deleted or you are unable to access it because you have not accessed for a long time you will have 90 days to reactivate it by calling 866-562-7219.(6a-6p PST) Make sure you get a LIVE operator by punching the right number(I have the best luck with #2) All your present information in the deleted account will be held IN that account for that 90 days.

Normally, once the 90 days has elapsed, your account information will be deleted and non retrievable. If it is close to the 90 days you might still give it a try.

The following link will will provide additional info.

Note: If you leave your account dormant for 12 months..Yahoo will delete it for you.... http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN3057&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1348407791449&locale=en_US&y=PROD_MAIL_ML
After that time you might be able to use the same ID if it has not been taken by someone else.

Before yahoo deletes it they will normally contact you first.

All the best :)

My account has been deactivated due to inactivity,?

thats what it says when I try to log in: Your Yahoo account has been inactive for an extended period of time and is being recycled. If you need a new account, please sign up for a new one." Yet, i want to create a new one with the same username, but it says the username is unavailable. Why is that not possible, and will i ever be able to, since on that email address i am supposed to receive and important email.

How long does it take before a recycled account can be created again?

I have a yahoo email account that I forgot the password to some time ago, several years in fact. I noticed today that it had been 'recycled.' How long will it be before a recycled can be recreated again? I tried recreating it today but the first time I did it, a blank page was brought up after I submitted all of the information on the first account creation page. The second time I tried to do it, I was informed that the id I was trying to create was unavailable. Attempting to login using the information I submitted when the blank page came up only results in this message: "Your Yahoo! account has been inactive for an extended period of time and is being recycled. If you need a new account, please sign up for a new one."

Is it even possible to recreate an account that has been recycled? If so, how long before it is possible to do so?

Thank you.
