Australia's national carrier Qantas is celebrating its centenary year in 2020.

They have teamed up with fashion designer Martin Grant for a capsule collection.

The limited-edition athleisure wear line is inspired by Qantas' iconic trademarks.

It features a cashmere sweater, beach tote, t-shirt, sweatshirt and hoodie.

Qantas frequent flyers can pay for the clothing using their flying points.

Qantas teamed up with fashion designer Martin Grant to showcase some of its historic logos on pieces that can be worn 'everyday', the ultimate keepsake for those who have been long-time flyers with the company.

Included in the list of pricey products is a $425 cashmere sweater, $275 hoodie, $250 sweatshirt, $150 t-shirt and $350 beach tote, but Qantas Frequent Flyers can also use points to purchase the items.

The red, navy and wattle yellow-coloured collection is available for purchase exclusively from the Qantas Rewards Store under the search term 'Martin Grant for Qantas' from Tuesday October 13, until sold out.

'This collection is all about classic shapes, comfortable styles and materials that are kind on the environment. But the hero of the designs are the iconic logos that evoke so many fond memories for Australians,' Martin Grant said.

'The Qantas brand is embedded in the history of our country. I wanted this collection to be a nod to the past but also be a treasured piece for the future.'

Martin's reputation for simplicity and timeless silhouettes have seen him design uniforms for Qantas' pilots, cabin crew and ground staff as well as pyjamas and amenity kits for the airline's First Class customers.

Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth expects that this merchandise will be hugely popular with customers.

'Qantas Frequent Flyers have a great fondness for our brand and heritage,' she said.

'Having our iconic logos appear in such a beautifully designed collection will make this range much sought after for people with a passion for both aviation and fashion.'

It comes just months after the team at Qantas started selling the flying kangaroo's iconic grey business-class pyjamas online, which sold out in record time.

The same thing happened when Qantas sold the bar carts used on the Boeing 747 aircraft, which retired in July 2020 after operating for almost 50 years.

Each pre-loved cart came complete with 40 mini bottles of red wine, 40 mini bottles of white and a bottle of Champagne from the airline's business class cellar, Tim Tams, pyjamas and an exclusive-to-Qantas first class Sheridan throw.
