02 Hyundai Sonata Horn Beeps Occasionally And Parking Brake Light On After Crossing Battery

How do you tighten the parking brake on a hyundai tiburon?

The adjuster nut is connected to components of the parking brake lever. You will need to remove the plastic cover inside the vehicle to access it. Looking down you will see the cables coming to each side of the equalizer. The adjuster nut is in between the cables on the equalizer. The proper stroke (or height) for the lever of your vehicle is 6 clicks (the noise made when you pull up). Tighten the nut and then check the stroke. Multiple adjustments may need to be made.

If the proper adjustment can't be made, you may need to replace the cable (s). There are no manual adjustments to be made in the rear wheels, the cables self adjust when the lever is adjusted and the foot brake is applied. The Tiburon doesn't have a separate set of brake shoes like a vehicle with rear drums. The e-brake is directly connected to the rear caliper.

What does it mean when both brake and battery warning light are on?

Each warning light indicates a different problem...

From your description, the battery light may be indicating a failing alternator, wich means its not putting out enough power to recharge your vehichles battery. This would explain why your battery gave up while you were driving. anytime a battery light comes on in most vehicles, it indicates thats it's using power from the battery and it's not bieng recharged.

The brake light coming on when there is proper brake fluid level and the parking brake is disengaged indicates a problem with the ABS ( anti-lock braking system ) on the vihichle, if the vehicle is equipped with ABS. This doesn't mean your brakes wont work, it just means the ABS isn't there to prevent them from locking up in a hard-braking situation or on slippery / wet roads.

The best thing to do is to have your alternator and brakes inspected.

I hope this helped, good luck!

How long can I use the car parking light on a battery?

It depends entirely on how much capacity your battery has, and how many lights come on, when you turn on the parking lights, and even how old your car is, because some newer cars have lights that use a lot less electricity.Having said this much, if your battery is fairly new, and good quality, your car ill probably still start after leaving the parking lights on for two to four hours, if it’s a warm day. If you are using only one light, such as the one in roof that lights up the interior, your might be able to leave in on for two days, and still start the car.If your battery is old and about worn out, the parking lights may discharge it enough in five or ten minutes so that the car won’t start. There is no precise answer to this question.

Why are my battery light and brake lights on in my car?

Sorry so long.

I have a 2005 Kia Sedona EX 3.5L and for some reason my battery light and brake lights are one. As I pulled into my drive way for driving around my can just died. Checked the battery and I had to hook it up to a charger because it was dead. Looked online and it says that the battery light and brake light both turning on means the alternator is bad. Well after I charged the battery I started the car and disconnected the battery and it died on me. Bad alternator right? well after going through hell to take it out I took it to 3 different stores and had it checked and it passed the test. I put the alternator back into the car and checked and cleaned all my connections and used the battery grease for the terminals and started the car. The lights were off. Started the car few more times and it stayed off. Well this morning I put the rest of the stuff back in like the fans I had to take out and stuff and I started the car and the lights were off still. took the car out for a drive and the lights are still off.

My problem is an hour after everything is back in I started the car and now my brake light and battery light are back on. I noticed that if I bring the motor up to 3000 + rpms in park the light turns off but when I take my foot off the gas they come back on. Im getting ready to take the car out for a spin and have advance auto parts check my battery. Can anyone tell me what else I should check? Has anyone delt with this problem before? Any tips? I have never had an issue with this car till now. Oh, and yes my E-brake is off too.

What causes the check engine light to come on in a Hyundai Sonata?

I’ll give you the answer which goes out for all vehicles. This light doesn’t specify the nature of the problem. It just indicates that something is wrong with the engine. It can be related to emission, exhaust system, loose gas cap, or even failed spark plugs. Engine is the heart of a car. Just like with a human heart, all kinds of issues within other organs can affect its functionality. Not all of these repairs are expensive. But you won’t know exactly where the problem lives until you visit the mechanic.Depending on the type of fault, this light can be flashing, steady, or even different colors like the traffic-lights.If the light is flashing, find an exit, stop the car and call a mechanic or a towing service, because you won’t be able to solve this on your own, and it’s usually a more serious issue that can cause damage if you continue to drive for too long. If it’s on solid, either amber or red, make an appointment to have it looked at as soon as possible. There is only one engine light and if you leave it too long you won’t know if something else is going wrong in addition to the original cause that turned the light on first.I hope it helps. If the battery is empty, does the electronic parking brake still work?

If the electronic parking brake set the brake before the battery was dead, then yes, the brake is still set.An electronic parking brake isn’t relying on electrical power to hold a parking brake on. All the system does is do the work normally done by a person pushing the parking brake peddle, or pulling the parking brake level. Once the brake is tight it is being held by a ratchet/paw system like a conventional parking brake. If the brake isn’t set, and the battery is dead, then there is no power for the system to actuate the brake into the set position, so in this case the brake is off. I’m not aware of every possible combination, but I imagine some vehicles with electronic parking brakes have a manual way to set the parking brake as well.

How much gas is left when light comes on for hyundai sonata?

My two Sonata, a 2006 and a 2008, have buttons just below the speedometer, on the left side of the steering wheel. The gauge controls the trip meter. push the left button once and it shifts the gauge from odometer to miles per gallon to miles remaining of fuel. Keep pushing the set button and it will return to the average gas mileage. The thing shows number of miles remaining to empty. It shows 0000 when you get below about thirty miles remaining.
You should never run out of gas. The tank holds more than 17 gallons. My six cyl cars always run 25.9 to 26 M>P>G> tank averages. I almost ran out Thursday. Yreka Cal., near the Oregon border. Had to get to Weaverville on business. Found out that it was more than 50 miles between stations!

Battery light just came on in my car and steering wheel tightened up...?

this sounds as if the vehicle is stalling ,and many reasons could be for that but i suspect a vac leak or a faulty or dirty idle control motor. if the engine does die you will be out power steering and the lights will come on until demands are met such as oil pressure so restarting it will meet those demands to turn the lights out. if the car has been serviced and air filters good plugs good , check for hoses that are cracked loose broken and if comfortable check the IAC idle air control , they get carboned up after a few years and need replacing or they can be cleaned but it is not recomended and they are fairly cheap. thats what i would check first and they dont usually throw a fault code.

My Seagate external hard disk makes a beeping sound whenever I connect it to my laptop. What's the problem?

I need a little more information about the noise your external drive is making, but I'll try and troubleshoot it with what is available. When a hard drive is about to break there's often a noise that's really not a “beep” but it could be mistaken as one. What the noise really comes from is the drive heads hitting one or more of the spinning disks. This can happen in a way it is repeateditive. This can sound like beeping, sort of… it's actually more of a scraping noise. (Scratch Disk)If you have important information on there I'd recommend immediately making a copy on a new(er) drive.Once you have your information protected from loss you might try turning the drive on its side before you power it up. If the noise is gone, then it's likely a physical scraping of the heads on the disks. You might try a different USB cable, that's an easy fix but is a long shot, worth a try though. If the “beeps” are in a pattern try to identify it and consult SeagateMedia or a forum. The warranty on these drives is quite good and after running a diagnostic you may be given one as a replacement.Identifying and troubleshooting hard drive noise issues
