13 Year Old Tongue Piercing

Tongue piercing for 13 year old?

I wouldn't ever let my children get their tongue pierced. There are too many complications that go along with those - I am in no way against body piercings as my husband and I both have them - however the tongue is different, you get someone to do it wrong and you could lose your tongue / lose taste / get an infection/ it rots your teeth... etc.

Tongue Piercing for a 13 year old?

13 year old tongue piercing?

im 16 and i got mine when i was 15. what she means hurt your teeth is that if you bite down on it really hard it can chip your teeth or it can rub on your gums and you will have to get those repaired or it will wear down enamel on your teeth. the piercing its self dosent hurt, on a scale 1-10 it was a 1 didnt hurt no pain, pinch, nor burning. It was super fast to. people call it trashy because if you have one most people will label you a whore because its meant to make oral sex better. If someone is going to judge you on that tell em off. I have had mine for 1 month and love it! only my family and close friends know i have it cause its not that easy to tell unless you stick your tongue out. I love mine so much! beware though the healing process sucks cuz your tongue will be swelled but all the swelling will be gone in 1-2 weeks. hope this helped :) and if you are going to get it done, go to a pro! mine was done by a professional and he did a really good job had no problems with it. and be prepared to spent a pretty penny on it. mine coast $110, $40 for piercing fee and $55 for jewellery plus tax but it was worth it!! Hope this helped :)

Should a 16-year-old girl have their tongue pierced?

Are you asking for yourself? It really isn't good for your teeth. But I did allow my daughter to do it at that age, she was already in college (living home) and after a few days of swelling all was fine. I think she had it about three months and had it removed with no permanent damage. I did not care for it, but she was an excellent student, and I allowed her to make her own decision.....it worked out well for both of us. She held three jobs at a time to pay for college and graduated with honors. I would not recommend it but I wouldn't fight against it.

4 year old tongue piercing suddenly swells up....WTF?

Heeelp! I've had my tongue pierced for about 4 years now with absolutely NO problems, until now. About 1-2 weeks ago I noticed a bump or lump, not on the surface, but inside my tongue right in front of the barbell. No pain, only slight discomfort because the upper ball seemed to be pressing on the lump a little bit. It decided to keep the piercing in, but keep an eye on the problem to see if it got worse or better over the course of a few days. It pretty much stayed the same until this morning when I woke up with a big, fat, swollen tongue (like what you have for the first few days after you get it pierced)with a somewhat larger lump where the smaller one was, but still no pain. I removed my piercing right away and since then the swelling has gone down a bit, but not much. Has anyone out there in 'Yahoo! Answers-Land' had the same experience with their tongue piercing? Are there any professional piercers out there who have a clue as to what's going on?

Should i let my 12 year old daughter get her tongue pierced?

I Think tongue piercing are gross, But when i was 12 i already had three lobe piercings and my belly button pierced. I'm glad i got them when i was younger, I don't remember the pain, Thats the best. But tongue piercings give the wrong impression to many people, also remind her tongue piercings bleed alot and get stuck in braces if needed, and can in time damage your teeth.

My 14 year old daughter came home with a tongue piercing. What should I do?

Evidently she needs alot more of your time and attention. Teens need as much supervision as a toddler in todays world….“Who did this?” Is the first thing to find out. Report them to police. You might could get in trouble for allowing her to keep it. Tell her to take it out and make her obey. It will grow back quickly. Sit her down and tell her why she can do what she wants after eighteen and out of your house. Children need to learn there are rules in the world and there are consequences. Parents must teach this because children don't just automatically know what is acceptable or not.

Should I let my 13 daughter get a tongue piercing?

My daughter wants a tongue piercing,(I think it's an obsession for her.)
* she has made the chores so that she can earn the piercing.
* she has good grades, and has no complaints from the teachers (because she talked a lot before)
* she also investigated the pros and cons on perforation
* she has informed me about the dangers, cares, and history about the tongue piercing
