I'm 14, can I start my own online Business? Like Selling jewelry or something?
I really want to start a online Business were I'm selling something, that I make (I guess) Jewelry seemed like a great Idea until I wrote it all down on paper and then I realized I would have to put A lot of money into it to be able to actually sell a lot, does ANYONE have any ideas of something I could do? I'm also only 14, but whatever it is I would like to be as professional as possible.
What are good things to sell at a farmers market?
I have created farmers markets, sat of farmers market boards, been a market manager and have been selling at them for the past 16 years. the first thing you do is contact the market manager and ask that person what the rules are for that market (every market is different). Als0 ask for any helpful advice. You will need some things to sell successfully such as a table, some place to put the money at market (not your pockets), signs (you can design and print from your computer), baskets for display are very nice. You should be able to find most all of these things around your house-ask your parents. You need to make $250. Realize this is your net income. Do not confuse it with "Gross income" which is what you have before the bills are paid. What bills you may ask-things such as market fees, the things you will need to buy to make soap, cookies or what ever. Be sure to keep ALL receipts from anything you buy for this project and write down all expenses and all income. Income minus expenses equals your net income or profit. So you will have to make quite a bit more than $250 in sales in order to realize a profit of $250. All of your ideas are good. I really like the hot chocolate idea (and you may want to expand into coffee as well), soaps and candles , if they don't sell at one market can be sold the following week. baked goods will not last from market to market and will either have to be eaten or thrown out. I would stay away from tie dye unless you are really good and willing to invest in high quality inks and shirts

I used to make friendship bracelets, hand made accessories and those things. however I gave up when i'm 17 as I started real business and this one wasn't really giving money as I live in Dubai. however I believe it will work out elsewhere. now I can advice u to start with a facebook page. its free and reaches everyone. you don't need license to start selling on facebook as far as I know. there are so many web hosting sites, I am personally using ipage.com and myizzonet.com, but for now, its better to use facebook as ecommerce webs are expansive and you still are not sure if you will bear the efforts or not. to buy the products I would suggest the dollar stores as they have really unique things. or try to get it from the Japanese stores as they sell amazing things. also you can check amazon.com ebay.com or aliexpress.com general pieces of advice: - I would advise you to make it so unique. that every piece have its own design and colours so don't repeat things - I would suggest you to have fixed price and never get down unless you want to do sales or promotions - I would ask you to give a small gift with every order as this what makes my customers want to buy again - I would suggest you to have a professional camera so u could take nice pics. as pics is the most important thing for an ebuyer! low quality pics makes customers think its low quality thing - have a professional email like yourname@yourbuesinessname.com for example and this costs nothing almost 10 dollars a year or so. - I would like you to have a look on how to reply on emails and inquries in which u can look professional. - try not to tell people your too young so that they don't use u, even though many people would want to buy from you to encourage you but those are very rare. good luck and please let me know ur page once you finish it so I can have a look and maybe buy if I like them :)
