14 Years Old Exercise Advice

Gym routine and fitness advice for 14 year old?

Hi, I'm 14 and will be starting to go to the gym soon. I want to bulk up a bit(I'm quite skinny), improve my general fitness and ultimately get a six pack. So what is a good workout routine for me? I was planning to go to the gym 3 times a week, would that be enough? Advice on exercises I can do at home and whether I should buy weights would be helpful too.

Also, what changes could I make to my diet to help?

14 years old,175 pounds and 5'7-5'8?

175 pounds does not seem too heavy for the height of 5'7-5'8, but if you believe you are a bit over weight then some physical exercises is probably needed. Turning body fat to body muscle will require some work. I, myself, wish I had your height.

I am a 14 year old girl, how can I grow taller?

As long as you eat well and don’t have any medical issues causing the stunting of your growth, the answer is…wait! It is unlikely that you will have stopped growing yet, so you inevitably will grow taller, eventually. It you’re wanting to grow taller, quicker, then the answer is that you can’t. And if you can’t change something then you have to change the way you think and feel about it instead. Acceptance is one of the most amazing and useful lessons to learn in life.

At what point did it become okay to give diet advice to a 14 year old who weighs 118 lbs ? Are you WELL UNDER 5 feet tall ? If not; then you shouldnt be considering weight loss....especially since you havent finished growing yet. I grew 4 inches during highschool.....and I didnt gain any weight.....I just stretched out ( got tall ). Weight shouldnt be a concern for you !
