143 To 130 Lbs Losing 13 Lbs Quickest Way You Have Done It

How long does it take to lose weight after not eating?

I can't tell you when you will start to loose weight but I can tell you that by not eating, your metabolism has slowed to a halt. Your body has gone into starvation mode and is hanging onto all the fat it can to survive. The longer you don't eat, the more your body will hang onto the fat and the more weight you will gain when you do start eating again. Best to starting eating now, in small portions so you don't do any permanent damage to your metabolism. When I was a teenager (I'm 48 now), I used to go days without eating, it was something a lot of us girls did back in the 70's. Well, now that I'm older, it seems harder to loose any weight and very easy to gain... Trust me, you don't want to do what you are doing to yourself.

Your body has stopped loosing weight because it has plateaued for awhile, that happens to a lot of people. You may not loose anything for another couple months, but as long as you eat healthy and take care of your self, it will start coming off again. Remember that staying healthy should be your goal and it will be a lot easier to go that long term and make your eating and exercise a lifestyle and not a diet.

I'm 13 and 169 lbs. How can I loose weight?

Running is really where your money is. It sounds daunting, but it really isn't. Walking might be better for you to start out with, but running is the end goal. Yes I know you said you didn't want to do that, but it's the best thing for you. Don't do it everyday, because you have to give your body a rest. Make it a Monday, Wednesday, Friday sort of thing. For instance, walk at a fast pace for about a quarter mile your first day. 2nd day, walk slow for 1/2 a mile. 3rd day, walk slow for 1/2 a mile.

2nd week, pick up the pace by walking fast for 1/2 a mile, then walking slow a full mile on day 2 and 3.

3rd week, walk fast for a mile. 2nd day and 3rd day, walk slow for a mile and a 1/2. By this time, you should really start seeing improvement.

4th week. Put on some decent running shoes. 1st day - Jog as fast as you can for 1/4 mile and walk fast the rest of 1 mile. 2nd day, jog slow 1 mile. 3rd day, jog slow 1 mile.

5th week. 1st day - Jog as fast as you can for 1/2 mile, then walk fast for a mile. 2nd day - jog slow 1 1/2 mile. 3rd day jog slow 1 mile.

You can probably see the trend. On tuesdays and thursdays do pushups and situps. Squat jumps and flutter kicks should help too, buy building up leg muscles and your core. Take a break on Saturdays and Sundays.

You don't have to pump iron to lose weight.

Don't forget to eat. Not eating doesn't help. Also, eat the right things. I guarantee not drinking soda or sugary drinks will knock at least 5-10 pounds off in a month without any effort.

I weigh 105 lbs and am 5'2. I smoke marijuana about 4-5 times a week. Will it be out of my system in about 18 days?

Clearance of any substance from the body is dependant on the individual taking/ingesting the substance (In your case, smoking/inhaling it) Most examples of clearance given (usually renal or blood clearance) are averages and it should be noted that there are always outliers in these statistics. I could have it cleared out of my system in 5 days depending on my metabolism, your metabolism may be slower and it could take a week or more. Most forums/experts would advise to stay constantly hydrated to help flush your system, this can be achieved by drinking the recommended 2-3L of water a day (depending on the intensity of the daily physical activity you partake in) as well as drinking Green Tea or other "detox" products. The fact you smoke regularly may result in a slightly longer clearance time compared to if you smoked 2-3 times a month.

How can I lose weight without feeling hungry all the time? I am 15 years old, stands 5′5″ and weighs 130 lbs.

A few things that worked for me - drink water whenever possible. It will give you a feeling of fullness at times and minimize the hunger. Clean and keep plain celery on hand to chew when you need a snack. It takes as many calories to digest celery as are in celery, so you will not gain weight from it. When you feel hungry find something to do - walk, watch TV, go on line, distract yourself - a lot of eating is out of habit, not hunger. Be patient, you’re still growing and will gain weight even when you eat carefully. Over time eating healthy and staying active, avoiding salt, pork and cheese ALWAYS the weight will get to where it needs to be.

How can I lose weight? I’m a 15 year old female who’s 5’1 and I weigh around 118 lbs.

Hi 5’7” 135 lbs waterpolo player here. First of all you are not overweight. But if you desire to become more fit, you need to either go to the gym or play a sport and eat a healthy diet. If you are 15 you are still in high school. Join swim, track, cross country, etc. Playing stamina and cardio based sports can help to build muscle. You don’t want to focus on losing weight, focus on building muscle. The two often go hand in hand. If you notice you are gaining weight when you work out one of 2 things is happening: you are building muscle or you are gaining sugar/ bad fat. It should be the former. Now to diet, you should eat lean protein, leafy greens, fruit, and good carbs. Some examples of lean protein are chicken, fish, and even nuts (not too many because nuts have fat). Leafy greens like kale, spinach, and broccoli are great. Fruits like apples, bananas, and strawberries are good as long as they are eaten in moderation. Good carbs are whole grain pastas, breads, and crackers. Whole grain bread is a great alternative to white bread. My point is exercise combined with a healthy diet leads to a healthy body. If you aren’t happy with the way you are do something about it. Don’t do one of those ridiculous “weight loss diets” advertised online. They don’t usually work and it doesn’t help your body image.

Do I look thinner & healthier? Will I be able to lose enough weight to get to 127 or 132?

Excellent job on your weight loss! Yes, your pictures show a real difference, and your statistics are much more healthy. Here are my comments on the story here.

6 pounds weight loss is a lot in a little over a week. Three inches on your waist is also a great difference. How did you do it? What kind of exercise did you do, what kind of diet plan did you follow?

To calculate a good weight for your height, you can use your BMI (Body Mass Index). There are two calculators you might use: one is for teens, and one is for adults. By the adult measurement, a healthy weight is between 111 and 150 pounds. By that measure, you are already at a healthy weight. Losing a little extra weight down to 127 wouldn't be unreasonable or unhealthy for you.

However, when I look at your 'before' pictures, I notice that your body tends to gain weight in the belly. If you have extra belly fat, then you are more likely to develop diabetes and heart problems. Even though 143 pounds is in the 'normal' weight range, the belly fat might be enough to be a health risk.

You can test this by an ABSI calculator, which matches your weight, height, but also your waist measurement. Notice that they use a particular waist measurement, with no sucking in your belly. You want your ABSI "Z score" to be zero, or a little bit negative, and your "relative risk from ABSI" to be less than 1. I'm guessing that before your weight loss, you had enough extra stomach fat to be at higher risk. But now, you are probably close to no extra risk, which is great!

Your before and after pics are perfect, and you are right - using the same clothing, whenever possible, helps compare the changes in your body when you lose weight. Note the instructions below on measuring your waist - it's the way that health professional and geeks can figure our exactly if your fitness is good.

Looking at your 'after' pics, I notice that your waist is much slimmer, and your belly is back to normal. You waistline is still a little bit soft, so I would say that you would losing another 10 pounds would improve your health and fitness a bit more - your belly would be more flat, and you would see more definition in your waistline, from the front and side views. Keep up the good work! If you have further questions, let me know through my profile!
