ok, for all yall that are asking what i see in him because he's still a kid etc. He's pretty mature for his age, he's very respectful and responsible etc. he's better than like every other male i know. We like alot of the same things, we get along really great, plus i don't like to go out to the clubs and bars, it's not my thing, i'd rather be having fun doing fun redneck stuff with him than out partying. :) we've been friends for awhile and i think he's amazing. yes i do wish he was older, but that's why i am looking for info on it. I will gladly wait for him to turn 18 if thats the law, i feel it's worth it. so there you have what i see in a 16 yr old guy. (and yes he does/can drive by the way(he drives my car all the time lol), im sure that was something that was or will be questioned)

Hi! :) there are no specific dating laws in Texas. But in Texas the legal age of consent is 17, meaning you can have sex with a man, and he won't be put in prison for molesting cause you're 17! So, in regards to that, yes its legal to date a 23 year old, even though your 17! :) And you can have intercourse if you wanted to as well! :)

This is a tricky legal area, but if your folks and his are ok with it, there shouldn't be a problem. A really responsible guy would wait until the girl is legal, though, before having intercourse. That is the classiest way. Wishing you love, laughter and music in your life.

I think it depends entirely on the situation. It depends on what the motives for texting eachother are, the background and attitude of each person, especially the guy, and the parents of the girl. The girl should probably consider how she met the guy, how she feels about him, and what her goal with this guy is. If it is sexting, then I think it is a bad idea, but if it is just friendly, I don't think there is much to worry about, unless the girls parents are strict enough not to want her to text this man. If this man seems good enough, she may proceed, but proceed with caution.
