What are some fun things to do in New York City during December?
1. Tree lightings: There are nice tree lighting events all around the city where you can also have great food, nice entertainment, and of course watch the tree lighting. My favorite though is the one by Lincoln Center. All the restaurants in the area (a lot of which are Michelin-starred!) put up stalls in the square with fairly affordable tasting menus, there's of course good music and post the ceremony, you can just roam around the Upper West Side. Check out Page on www.winterseve.nyc2. Grom: Food ranks high on my list of entertainments, and come winter, Grom has the BEST hot chocolate in NYC. It's decadent and delicious, I wouldn't be surprised if I came to know they actually melt chocolate to make it. 3. I saved the coolest for last. Nostalgia Trains & Buses Return for the Holidays: The transit authority operates Vintage trains every Sunday in December at specific times on the M line. Ride back in time with old cars, ads, dressed up train staff and live music. Don't forget to traverse the length of the train so you catch some 3 or so generations of vintage car models.
Fun things to do on New years eve?
1)Hang out.. have fun. 2)go to wal*mart or some where and get like poppers and stuff and have fun with those. 3)If your state allows them for New Year then, goto a fireworks stand and get firework or like some sparklers 4)Rent some good movies.(get horrors so u guys will be able to keep from falling to sleep!!... i do that at my party!! :) ) 5)get some fun snacks to snack on. if you have a fire pit then go outside and roast marshmellows or hotdog wennies.. have fun!! if it is cold then go back inside grab some money.. goto a store and get some snuggies to keep warm!!! 6)play some video games or like do kareoke. have fun being you.... last time to in 09!!! 7)make some dumb/silly videos and post them on youtube or facebook and see how many weiws you can get!! 8)prank call ur friends!! ya kno.. 9)DANCE!!! have a dance off or something.. last time to do crazy stuff b4 09 is OvEr!!!.. just try not to get arrested bein crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10)goto a store and just hang out.. like goto Wal*Mart and get the lightsabers and act like nerds and have a blast being SiLlY!!!!! Might as well scince you r only a teen for so long.. and DUHHH 2009 is almost over... HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!! HOPE YOU CAN ENJOY SOME OF MY IDEAS!!! GOODBYE 2009,,,, HELLO 2010!!!!
I want to move to New York City when I turn 18!?
Ok, so I'm a teenager and I really want to move to NYC when I graduate high school. I want to become a fashion journalist or some other aspect of writing or fashion. However, I have a few questions about life in NYC and other things. If you can answer all of them then thanks in advance, and if you can only answer a few then that's great too! Here's my list of questions: 1. I live in a small town so im not really acustomed to living in a large city (like NYC) but i really love them! What is it like living there? 2. What kinds of things can you do? (entertainment, etc.) 3. How much would a cheap apartment be? 4. What's the best college? What kind of GPA do you need to get into it? 5. I would be living alone so which city in new york city is the safest/friendliest for college students? 6. Is it difficult to enter the fashion business? What to do for a 19 year old's birthday in New York City ? help! desperate ...?
