Is it normal for a hangover to last for 2 days?

I am a big lightweight when it comes to drinking. On Thursday night, I had 4.5 beers and three shots consisting of Contreau, raspberry vodka, and lime juice. I got sick that very night, obviously, and threw up quite a bit. However, two days later, I'm still feeling nauseous. Is this normal? I'm getting paranoid that maybe I'm pregnant, but I doubt this is possible. I was feeling perfectly fine until I drank all of that alcohol. I'm using AlkaSeltzer Morning Relief and eating lots of soup and drinking ginger ale. Granted, my nauseua isn't as bad as it was yesterday but the slight queasiness is annoying, especially when I have a 7 pg paper to write. I'm hoping that others have had equally long hangovers and this is something that time will remedy. In the meantime, any fix-all cures that you can reccommend?

All day hangover cure?

Big party last night. I drank a bottle of Captain Morgan's to myself and then did numerous shots of Ketel One. I crashed around 4 am, woke up about 2 pm-still drunk. I took 3 tylenol and a prilosec-went back to sleep. Woke up at 4pm and ate a little chicken and dumplings soup-got sick-went back to sleep. Woke up at 5pm-took a shower. I am still sick-achey, sick to my stomach, and moving very slow. I'm going to another party tonight at 11 and want to be better by then (don't worry-I wont be drinking tonight). Any ideas?

Is it possible to have a 2 day hangover?

Did you eat enough on Friday?
Have you been missing out on sleep recently?
You could also be coming down with the flu or a cold as well so your immune system is trying to handle two things at once, since alcohol is toxic.

I sometimes have have trouble drinking on Saturday if I went too hard Friday. But I have a really sensitive digestive system so alcohol takes it's toll on me.

I think it's totally possible to need two days to recover from drinking a lot. I've been there personally

Is it possible to have a 3 day hangover?

I have had a two day hangover but never known anyone have a three day hangover. Do you have diabetes, anaemia, or any heart problems? People with these get worse hangovers because of the sugar in alcohol. If you have had any palpitations (fast and pounding heart beat) while you've been hungover or feel really weak/faint you might have one of these, this is what I experience and you should go to the doctor for some blood tests.
But then again it could just be because your 14 and that was a lot of booze, but to be honest I always found that people get worse hangovers as they get older not when they're young. Maybe you are just one of the unfortunate people who always have terrible hangovers. Mixing drinks (like having wine and vodka in the same night) makes a hangover worse too.
Anyways, right now you should drink as many glasses of water as you can, eat healthy food & rest. If you still feel bad after doing these things something isn't right so get medical help.
Get well soon!

Is iT possible To have a hangover for 2 days?

Sweet Tressia,

There is no such a thing as a hangover. It is the Leftovers!!

Those wonderful things that are leftover from your time slamming shots, shooters and what ever swill you slammed down...

Ok ... What did you drink? The more flavorings and suger in the what you drink may have a huge effect on how you feel because normally you don't put that kind of stuff in your system and your system is not prepared for it. Especially when you are mixing the alcohol with it…
All three alcohols are poison to the human body, so after a good poisoning you may feel like crap for a long time. Did you drink lots of water? De-Hydration is the number one cause of feeling like doo doo after parting....

So!!! Drink Water, Drink Water, Drink Water …. Cuz Ur in the grove now peepee :)

Is it possible to have a hangover last TWO days?

It's possible, but....if you're still not feeling well Monday, check with your physician. Not eating and drinking fluids (not more alcohol) since Saturday can leave you hypoglycemic and dehydrated, and this in itself is more than enough to make you continue to feel ill and nauseous. Take care!
