2 Stroke Engine Overheating

2 stroke engine overheating?

ok so my 2 stroke engine is overheating. its a 2 stroke bike engine. normally i can ride for over an hour get home and touch it and it would be painfully hot, but not enough to cause a blister or make water boil. but recently i took the engine appart 1. to clean it. 2. to have a better understanding of the engine. i dripped a little 2 stroke oil onto the internal fly wheel/crank to give it a little extra lubrication. it wasnt much oil though. and i also scrubbed the carbon buildup off the piston and head with a tooth brush with 2 stroke oil on it. i poured my usual gas mix of about 32:1 in the tank that has never caused me problems before and when i got home not only was it too hot to touch, i driped some water on it and it boiled violently and oil was smoking and sizzling on the exhaust gasket. i pulled the plug and again answers werent diffinitive. it was not white but it was a medium gray color. i wouldnt call it light gray at all. before putting all parts back on i made sure they were dirt free and wiped them down several times. what could the cause of this problem be? could it be the extra oil in the crank case?

2 stroke engine overheating. cause?

this question has been revised to provide more information

1. fins are clean.

2. weather is actually colder than normal. it was after it had just rained wand was still slightly sprinkling.

3. i did not and actually can not adjust the leanness of this carb. it has never given me problems before and is optimized for sea level. i live on the florida east coast so its perfect for around here. cant and havnt changed the timing. same spark plug same everything.

125cc 2 stroke Exhaust overheating?

just bought a new stock exhaust and "can" for my 2 stroke 125 but it gets excessively hot, the "can" can evaoporate water after about 20 mins of riding. engine remains cool but pipe gets super hot. any ideas people? dont think its the air/fuel mixture as i altered it to its optimum setting

What is the cause of a 2-wheeler engine overheating?

Steep hill, strong headwind, soft tires, overload, partially blocked exhaust, , partially blocked cooling system, failed cooling system, excessive spark advance, lean running fuel/air mixture, low on oil, fuel diluted oil, partially blocked fuel pump suction screen causing lean mixture, partially blocked oil pump pickup, oil pressure relief valve not closing fully, or weak spring causing low oil pressure, (most internal combustion engines have a provision to spray oil to the underside of the piston heads for cooling, insufficient oil allows piston overheating, over-expanding and scoring the cylinder walls, leading to loss of oil and power), cracked piston rings, low power from leaking valves, too high a gear for the load, please add those reasons I forgot to include.

Yamaha 50HP 4 Stroke - overheat?

I have a Yamaha 50HP 4 Stroke for my boat, the engine is still new even though it is an old model, I think between 2001 and 2004. But it was not used at all, the first time was used last Summer for like 8 miles. Then it spent the winter in -30 degrees in the yard. Yesterday I decided to use it but it started only after many times of trying then it turn off by itself, When it stayed on the alarm of overheat start beeping, I assumed this because that was the result of online researches. So what can I do to solve this problem ? how can I help this overheat problem ?
Thank you so much.

What are the reasons for engine over heating?

Engine overheating can be a dangerous phenomenon. There might be several reasons for the overheating. We shall discuss major reasons , without getting into much technicalities:-1. Engine Coolant - It is very  essential in engine cooling. Low levels of coolant  may lead to overheating. There is a container in cars to compensate the coolant level in radiator. You can check the level in radiator by opening the cap of radiator or this container.2. Engine oil also has essential role in keeping engine internals cool. Low level of engine oil also leads to overheating of engines. It can be checked by the engine oil level stick.3. Knocking- Engine knocking is very deteriorating  for the engine. Besides damaging the parts it also leads to overheating. It can be identified easily by a characteristic noise( like hammer blow) or loss in power of engine.4. Hoses , fans and sensors- Coolant is essentially transferred in cooling jackets( passages in the crankcase for coolants to flow) after a certain temperature is reached ( temperature of engine). Flow may be restricted due to the some clogging in hoses, hence rise in temperature of engines.Faulty sensor may also lead to stop in flow of coolant .Fan is used to cool the coolant after its is taken out od cooling jacket. If fan is not working properly , then the coolant may nor be able to loose heat to atmosphere, hence the proper functioning is hindered.Note- Some cars don't have sensors for the coolant flo control, its is controlled by thermo syphoning effect .

What are the possibilities of overheating in a four-stroke diesel engine?

There can be many two cause for overheating in any engine .Radiator or cooling system is not working properly .Low oil level , that cause a lot of friction between the engine parts , so it cause a lot of overheating.Air play a major in cooling the engine , they should not any blockage of air around the cooling system of a engine and keep engine well lubricated .Have a nice day :)

Symptoms of overheating air cooled motorycle engine?

Rough idle, stalling, pinging. If you're running lean, this can cause your engine to overheat prematurely, but up until that point it will seem to run great with lots of power. I'd adjust the mix on your carburetor if this is happening.
