25 good deeds in 25 days to celebrate 25yrs on this earth?
You nice, nice person. try... volunteering at the animal care center, the orphanage, the local centers, donating a random amount of money to a homeless dude, cooking food and distributing it to the local poor (like the orphans above), randomly going "HI!" to a stranger, paying someone else's toll gate, opening doors for people, giving generous restaurant tips, giving genuine compliments to someone's very unseen blogs, MakeAChildSmile.org, donating blood, donating supplies you don't use, LetsSayThanks.com, giving someone an umbrella, leaving change in a vending machine, let someone behind you go infront of you in a line, pay the next guy's gasoline fill, clean your neighbor's street or lawn without them knowing about it. That's 19 of them, plus the car. I expect you to be creative with the rest!
Did YOU ever hear Prophet Muhammad fasted 30 days and nights without eating nor drinking?
I read this about 25 years ago, before it was important to me to know, and I don't remember the specific reference. Muhammad went the whole 30 days and nights without eating or drinking anything at all, and saw Angel Jubril and received Revelations. Some of the first Muslims zealously resolved they weren't going to "worship by half-measures," but were going to go all the way and fast thirty days and nights without eating or drinking. As a result, several of them die, an Muhammad has to tell them, No, No, No- Allah has not asked YOU to fast like that. Stop trying to go beyond the requirement! It's been decades since I read The (whole) Qur'an. I have a hazy memory there was a reference to it there. (THAT copy fell apart years ago! There is no way I'm scouring my Pocket Edition with my current eyesight!) I do NOT want to learn that it was from a footnote in a Qur'an! That mean the... peole in RAMADAN just lied to me.
25 years old and pregnant?
Hello all. I am a woman who needs some advice. I was in a on and off again relationship with my ex-boyfriend. We are currently "broken up" but we still sleep together. We don't date other people but it is as if we are still "together". I just graduated from college literally 3 months ago and I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my baby cousin who is 22. I just found out that I was pregnant literally 2days ago thru a home pregnancy test and then I took a blood test just to make sure at the hospital I work at. Since we both aren't a couple do you think it is wise to raise a child with parents who don't live together nor are in a stable relationship? We are getting together tonight to write a pros and a cons list. It sounds strange but I am so 50/50 on having an abortion or having the baby. My mother is a Christian who feels that abortion and sex before marriage is wrong....and the funny thing is I feel the same way to an extent. I am torn and I feel like my life is screwed no matter what
