3 Day Workout Plan Need Help With Sorting Out My Routines

Beginner workout routine...?? Please help.?

Well, I was in your shoes a while ago. This workout really works. First, try to cut on the carbs. Eat more vegetables and fruits. Oh and fibers are very important. You need loads of protein for muscles, eat meat but without bread. For the workout, free weights are always the best, but machines are not bad too. Go on the trademill and walk for half an our, with some running whenever you can (depending on your weight). Then use the cycle for another 30 minutes. If there is a step machine, 10 minutes is enough. It deoends how bulky you want your muscles and how much fat you have, make sure you talk to the trainer in the gym. He has to measure your fat first coz you need to lose it before building muscles. For bulky muscles, lift heavy weights but always start light. For a fit shape, not too bulky, light wights but many repititions. For example 20 to 25 repetitions. Make sure not to lift weights for muscles opposing each other in the same day. For example, don't do biceps and triceps on the same day, or stomack and back. They should be in different programs. That's all the info I can provide you, I'll have to write much more if I wanted to go into details. Make sure you consult the trainer first. Good luck

What's the best workout routine for a male beginner?

Yes, when doing weight training, starts with the major groups of muscles. Do pull-up, bench press, row, squat. You are right man. For aerobics like running and swimming, do at least 15 min of warm-up, you are right again man.

However, there are many variations, and it is pretty hard to do a standard routine here by answering to thousands of this kind of questions (perhaps they should buy a book and do some reading first) As a fitness trainer myself, I will say without a good assessment, any suggestion here including mine is for reference only.

One thing for sure, it takes 20 years for me to learn and improve what I am doing now in weight training and aerobics.

What workout split routine do you find best for muscle growth?

I know some people who do an upper/lower split, push/pull/leg, bodypart splits, and full body routines. All these different styles confuse me though because I am unsure which is the best for muscle growth. Can you really train muscles once a week and get good results? I always though training with more frequency is better as long as you let muscles you train rest at least 24-48 hours at least. I usually train muscles at least twice a week lifting pretty heavy with compound lifts for usually an hour and half a time and some of my friends tell me this is overtraining if I want to get bigger. I usually do an upper/lower split and even sometimes do a legs/push/pull routine that ends up being 6 workouts in a week. Just wondering if resting a whole week will really help me in getting some more muscle size?

I just joined a gym and I am a bit confused about workout routines?

To question 4: yes, diet, and exercise; you got to burn more than you take in (eat).

Question 1: Start off with a weight you feel comfortable with; don't worry about if your lifting less that the previous day. Try to do three sets of 8 to 10 repetitions.
Question 2: Yes, most learn by fiddling with them. There should be a chart. If you can't google it on the Internet do this. Lift or push the weight for a slow count of two (one Mississippi, two Mississippi), then lower it to a slow count of 4. If you start to wiggle or giggle, use a lighter weight. Always be in control. Showing off by lifting heavier weights will only tear a muscle; then you won't be able to work out till it gets better a week or so later. All that effort down the drain.

Question 3: Working out 3 to 5 times a week is fine; with a day of rest to let your muscle recuperate; try three times a week so you don't get worn down and burnt out. If you miss a day, do not beat yourself up over it. The first two weeks are the hardest in getting into a routine where you keep going to the gym.

Learn similar exercises you can do at home for those days you can't make it to the gym, or on vacation. Example: Running in place, doing sit ups, squatting down and standing up, even push ups. Best of luck, and yes, the middle age spread will recede. Chow

What is the best all around weekly workout routine to build muscle?

I am going to be training in a gym so I need a workout routine. I don't need to lose weight at all, just build muscle. If you can post links that would be okay. I would like specific instructions please, including rest time between days, target muscle groups for certain days, etc. Thank You
