4k Lags On My Macbook Pro

4K Lags on my MacBook Pro!?

Would anybody know why my MacBook Pro lags every time I play 4k videos? It doesn't lag on YouTube but it lags when I'm trying to watch them on my desktop like QuickTime, any help!? I have a 4GB RAM

Can I run 1080p and 4k videos on MacBook air?

You can run 1080p smoothly. No issues. But you won’t be able to experience it, since it doesn’t have a HD display.4K. I have tried playing some videos I shot and I could notice lag and overall slowdown. It becomes annoying when watching a movie or something.Macbook Air is not made for 4K.

4K video lag-HELP?

I have problems with 4k videos. I am making short film and before editing i need to preview files. But videos are lagging so bad! Can i somehow view them in lower resolution (in realtime) , but without converting or making new files? Is there any software for that? I really don't care about resolution whem i'm choosing between good and bad videos. I have Asus Aspire V3 and AMD radeon hd 7640g + 7600m dual graphic card. I don't have money to buy new laptop, and i know that i can't replace graphic card.

Rendering hi-res video (4K drone, 1080p DSLR) lags on my PC in Adobe Premiere. What kind of PC configuration do I need for smooth rendering?

I was having the same problem with my PC when I stepped up from shooting 1080p 60fps and started shooting 2.7k 60fps or 4k 30fps video. I was having brutal render times and blue screening my computer sometimes if I added any After Effects clips in. Premiere Pro (and any video editing) is extremely labour intensive on your computer needing a combination of things to really excel.Putting in a better video card will help with smooth playback while editing but its not as crucial when exporting/rendering the footage. Lots of RAM will help uploading things quickly and increase your workflow speed.Exporting/Rendering is all about your processor speed but its also limited by the speed/configuration of your hard drives. All that said upgrading any of those items individually will help but unfortunately its not one single upgrade that will help you when working on high-bit rate video.Since I am a full time videographer/photographer I have gone the extra mile and upgraded all of the above mentioned components and now exporting a video that used to take 1hr takes less than 5min which is worth every penny when you’re working on a deadline and you can’t essentially brick your computer for hours at a time.My current set up is a ASUS Z170-A motherboard with an i7 - 6700k processor, 32GB of ram and a GTX 1070 video card. I also have 2 SSD Hard drives (as well as 7 other large HDD Harddrives), I use the 2 SSD drives to help my video editing speed by keeping my OS on one SSD and using the second SSD as a scratch disk for all my working files, then if you store the video on a third HDD you have zero bottle necks in the system when you’re working (If you work off and export direct to the same drive you are limited by the speed of the drive uploading and downloading at the exact same time, so you’re better to split up your locations). This is one of the videos I’ve made with the above set up, total render time, less than 10min

What is the best 24"-27" monitor to connect with the 2016 Macbook Pro 15"?

There isn’t anything specific. Since you are on a 2016 MacBook Pro, then you should buy a display that has a display port , for two reasons:Because usb-c is also display port compatible, meaning that you can buy a display port to usb-c cable, so the display will connect directly to your laptop without an adapter. If you are using a 4k display then you probably have display port, but still you should connect your Mac to your display via display port to usb-c for another reason - your MacBook supports 4K fully only through display port. This gives you the option to scale the display (basically keeping the 4k resolution while upscaling elements so they're big enough) and outputting at 60 hz, which is the same refresh rate as your MacBook so you don't notice any lag.Other than this I'd suggest using a 4K display because this way you have a sharp display, especially when working with a Retina display, since if it’s 1080p you'll notice a major difference in sharpness between your laptop display and your bigger display.Other then this if you have a spare 1000$ I'd suggest buying the LG UltraFine 5K display. The benefits you get are basically being able to charge your laptop, and connect your peripherals through the display. It’s a neat one cable setup, and if you want the absolute best that is it.However, personally I have a regular non-brand 4K display (well it’s a company that mainly manufactures pro-grade displays , but they don't do consumer products) and it works great with my MacBook Pro. Design wise it’s standard, but since I have it propped on my wall it’s great. It’s 32 inch, so I can use it for gaming and movie watching besides coding. It’s a great setup (also because I got it for free )

Is the PS4 pro worth the money?

Ok before i start,i d like to say hi and hope you re all have a wonderful day,
now onto the question.
I had a ps4(the star wars bundle when it first came out) and loved it, but i had some pretty "****** up" issues..i would lag like crazy, i lagged in star wars battlefront, planetside 2, bo3 and basically ANY other games that you d need an online connection to play(multiplayer), now keep in mind it wasnt my wifi, the wifi we had/have gives us two option, a 2G and 5G option, but the ps4 wouldnt give me an option to choose at all, it d automatically just log in, so i decided to sell it and buy an xbox which gave me the option to choose which one i wanted to log into..but im not a huge fan of xbox, mostly cuz i see their playerbase are toxic as hell and microsoft itself is being a wussie about having certain games(such as planetside 2) on the server. so i hear people saying that ps4 pro is way better, have faster fps and so on etc etc, is it true? i was actually thinking of have a cable run from my wifi and plug to it directly to see if it d work but idk didnt buy it yet so its just an idea for the moment.

Why is editing always lagging with Premiere Pro CC, while none of my system indicators are in the red (RAM, SSD and CPU below 40 %)?

I would add to the first answer: what are you using for a hard drive(s)? Open up your Task Manager, and check to see how busy your hard drives are - if they’re topping out at 75–90-plus-percent, then that is your culprit. Are you using just one disk? Multiple disks? You should have raw footage on one, cache on another, and output on a third (ideally).A RAID is preferable when dealing with a lot of footage, long-form, and anything that is HD or higher.Plus, depending on the format and CoDec, including the frame rate (24, 30, 60, higher?), and color space (HD in full RGB or UHD in HDR is massive), that could also be an issue with just one HDD.The same goes for audio. If you are using uncompressed during the edit, stereo (let alone a surround mix) can choke even a solid workstation. If you are doing 360 (maybe also stereoscopic?) on one HDD, I hope you are very patient.Nowadays, I wouldn’t go back to HDD for video, animation and/or VFX. I would prefer to only work on a fast SSD, with backup and archive on HDD due to costs and storage size.If you do this as a pro, then the time savings from an SSD alone, amortizes the investment in getting one.Good luck!
