I felt like he was better at giving gifts than I was.Then I asked him what his favorite gifts were from when he was a kid.Surprisingly, the gifts he loved the most were not the ones he asked for, but the ones that were made up of a lot of little things representing him. Because it showed that people were paying attention to what he liked.Don’t over-analyze (I say that knowing I do it all the time) and think about what he likes. It doesn’t have to be expensive to show that you care.Or maybe you could buy him some nice underwear.

I would advise perhaps making a collection of memories or moments from your relationship. These could be items, pictures, or even just stories that had special meaning to you or to him. I know if I had to be parted from my significant other for a a significant amount of time, I would appreciate being able to look back on the things we’ve accomplished and the memories we’ve made. In my opinion, knowing that you’ve had good times together and being able to remember them will help you both endure until you can see each other again, and it will also give you both a reminder of the fun and joy you can look forward to when you next meet or contact each other. I personally favor the flash drive method, but I leave the decision to your own intuition - in my experience, a far better choice-maker than most outside suggestions.

Here are a few examples of what I got my boyfriend: His car lock kept getting stuck with ice and he would forget so I got a small bottle of lock de - ice, his dream car was a Italian sports car so I got the hotwheel version, he was worried about a test so I got his textbook and wrote him some personalized test notes covering the chapters, his hands kept getting chapped so I bought some cool handcream, I bought a couple of unique muscle car magazines he loves but never has the time to go to the special bookstore, because he loves old cars, he kept getting cuts and scrapes on his fingers from fixing them, so I bought these cool camouflage bandaids, ..you get the idea.. .Low cost ...lots of meaning...a big hit.

That all depends on what his interests are. Is he into music? Sports? Cars? Video games? And if it's music which instrument does he play if its sports what is his favorite Etc... Think of those things and maybe get something to go with it. T-shirts always seem to be good gifts for guys. Cologne can work too. Something that defines your relationship or an inside joke would be cute too I bet! (= In all honesty though I'm sure he'll treasure whatever you get him because it's you! The giver and the thought is more important than the object.
