5000 Aed In Dubai For A Software Engineer Fresher Without Accomodation

Is a 12,000 AED per month salary in UAE (Dubai) reasonable for a senior software engineer from India, with 4-5 years' experience? Could a family of two survive on this salary? Can he save anything after monthly expenses? Is it a good offer?

As per My Calculation 1BHK is AED 5K monthly in a decent vicinity. your new car needs minimum of AED 2K monthly incl : monthly installment, Fuel, parking.you already left over with 5K in its you will spend 3k for other expenses. you will hardly save 2K AED. Its a serious Joke more than half of a senior person earning goes to accommodation and transportation. so, you can ask for an accomodation by company at least :)

What's the salary of a junior civil engineer in Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

Both dubai and abudhabi:normal range: salary : 2500-3500 dirhams (multiply this by 16 to get Indian Rupees, but this factor varies daily in the range of 16-18)accommodation : compulsory and it is freeFood : you have to spend for thatMedical charges: they will provideTransportation : freeIn case of accommodation , Water charges, Electricity charges, Gas charges ,are to be paid by you. it usually comes around 200 dirhams per person per month. For working late nights, some companies are providing money for taking food outside. My company use to give me 80 dirhams for a dinner.

Is 10000 AED a decent salary in Dubai for a Software Engineer with 5 years of experience? How much can I expect to save?

I’d say its good enough for a start though, assuming you are single! There will always be aberrations, but in India I presume your CTC was somewhere between INR 7,00,000/year and INR 10,00,000/year for 5 years of experience.( I am not in the software industry, but did my Engineering in Computer Science!)Now it depends completely on the lifestyle you want to adapt while staying in Dubai.Broad AssumptionsIf you prefer a Studio, it will set you back by AED 36,000 -48,000, or you can buy a second hand car and stay in a comfortable 1 BHK in Sharjah. A lot of people I know, work in Dubai, stay in Sharjah. (That is 30–40% of your income)Food: If you cook at home AED 600–700, eat outside 1,200. Lets say Food takes up 10–12% of your annual income / (AED 12,000 -14,000 a year)Transportation/Conveyence/Others: Set aside 12,000 p.a. (10–12% of your income)You can easily save 40–50% of your income, so think about it - You can save up to AED 60,000 annually (INR~11 lacs), definitely more than what you would normally EARN in India (unless you are an IIT /IIM grad, things would be different)If you share the studio with just one more person, split your housing expenses, which majority of the single males do, you can either save that AED 15,000 - 20,000 ORUse it to lavishly spend some of it in Dubai, Booze, Enjoy the best single malts/wine, Fine Dine, Shop, Hit the pub, Enjoy a little bit, its Dubai after all, you can’t escape the High it gives you! Can you ?Remember, Dubai has place for everyone, the blue collar and the white collared people.P.S. My annual salary is AED 100k, and I have managed to save 65k, have a very simple lifestyle. Now you do the math, probably write a pseudo code for it! :D

What are the minimum living expenses per month in Dubai for a student?

It depends on where you live and your lifestyle. If you live in premium areas you have to pay more rent. Let me suggest you a website Costoffliving, which gives you a clear idea of all the costs available in Dubai. You can check for accommodation cost, grocery cost, gas cost, food and much more. Also you can even compare cost of living between two cities/countries.Good luck!!

Can I change an accountant job in UAE without labour ban if the new salary is above 5000 AED?

The information you received are right - but: you signed a contract which means the same has to be fulfilled. Please note that a certain profession/title, position, etc doesn't mean that an employer pay all hiring costs to be left hanging after a couple of months:)

You are as hired as an regular accountant (that's why you degrees didn't need to be attested). Certain professions are excluded from receiving a ban as long as they fulfilled their contracts or resigned an unlimited contract after one year AND received a NOC. I know it sounds silly but that's the way it is.

Bottom line: you signed a limited contract and not fulfilling the same is considered breaching the Law regardless of your profession. Sorry.

I do understand your dilemma. What are the working hrs regarding your work contract? 11 hrs daily (do you get paid for overtime?) is against the Laour Law. In case you file a case and win, you will be able to change jobs without receiving a ban. But - be careful and double check about what you are doing.
Working hrs regarding the Labour Law are 48 weekly, but there are some exemptions. Check out if the same apply to you/your company.

edit: again, you signed a limited contract and have to fulfill the same. Point blanc. No sponsorship transfer possible after 3 months only. But you can argue with your employer company's part of the contract regarding working hrs, pay for overtime,. etc.
Does your company pay salaries through WPS?

Is 4000 AED/month sufficient in Dubai when food, transport and accommodation is paid for?

probably u are a filipino/indian/pakistani/srilankan. bcoz western expats dont work for this little salary, BTW am a INDIAN with 4000 AED salary /month first of all its purely based on your nationalityplace u were residingif u are a american or western there is no point of savings, since ur currency value is 3.5 times higher than dirhams, but if ur a indian ( who came dubai for work not to live ) surely u can save 65000 INR monthly.yeah my salary is 4000 AED,i can save 70000 INR / month

Is 16,000 AED/month sufficient salary for a family in Dubai?

The answer is Yes, but a proper answer to this question require more details likeHow many members are there in the familyIf there are kids- are they going to school or not?Where are you from - to know the kind of life style you followBecause there are families in Dubai living even with a salary of 6000 to 8000 AED per month.Let me answer your question based on the following assumptions. There are no kids, you are looking for a 1 or 2 bed room apartment in a decent area (Not in a posh area like Dubai marina or in the Atlantis) like Silicon oasis, Al Barsha or Discovery Gardens. You have medical insurance. You can find a nice apartment in any of the above area for around 5000 to 6000 AED per month (based on if it is a 1 or 2 bed room and the size, view etc. of the apartment) - now you have 10000 AED in hand1000 AED per month for the utilities - now you have 9000 AED in handAfter the flat the most important thing is a Car. If you buy a decent second hand car, it will cost you around 45000 to 50000 AED. if you are paying it in an installment of 3–4 years you will end up paying around 1200 per month for the car (This is more or less the monthly charge for a rental car) and around 500 AED for petrol and 300 for maintenance so total 2000 AED. - now you have 7000 AED in handNow the most most important part (at least for me) - food. If you are planning to cook food at home and every now and then take food from a decent restaurant (You have a wide range of restaurant in Dubai) you will end up spending almost 4000 to 5000 AED per month for food. - now you have 2000 AED leftyou will be spending 1000 AED every month on mobile phone and other things. - No you have 1000 AED in hand. The balance 1000 AED is just for security - like if you have an emergency at least you do not have to go and ask your neighbor for money. This is just calculations based on a 16000 AED budget, I can tell you there are families struggling to meet the ends even with 25000 AED per month (I personally know one) and there are also families with kids having a happy life with 10000 AED (by sharing apartment and by cutting down every cost possible-I know many). The truth is everything depends on how you manage your money and having an idea of what you earn and what you spend…

Is 6000 UAE Dirham a comfortable salary for an Indian engineer in Dubai? P.s. With no accommodation provided by the company?

The answer for this question depends on your career plan. Do you have any plans of returning back after 3 yrs or so? Are you ready to work in challenging environments like 12 hours a day( specifically Indian owned companies) ? How much do you expect you will save?Brief about the three main needs to live in Dubai:ACCOMODATION:For bachelors, sharing accommodation starts from 600 AED onwards. It includes wifi, washing machine, kitchen etc .. no additional charges. That too in good areas like Bur Dubai, Karama.Consider you chose accommodation with 800 AED, you have now 5200.FOOD :If you decide to cook food at home along with your roommates, it will be cheapest. And trust me,in Dubai working environment, you can cook dinner meal only( keep aside 200 dhirams) Breakfast and lunch will cost you around 1000 Dhirams.Considering this you will remain with 4K.TRANSPORTATION :If transportation is in your scope then forget it. DONT GO. You won't save much then and will result into frustration.Other expenses like entertainment will vary person to person and can range from 200 to infinite a day( 6000 thousand in your case)So finally you will save 3500 AED.Presuming it is an Indian company, be prepared for challenges but at the same time you will have a great experience as well.I hope your question is answered somewhat and will help you to plan accordingly.

Is 2500 Aed sufficient to live in dubai with family?

2500 AED is sufficient only for Bachelor's. I Will Say No to it. Consider below answer people are suggesting to share Bed space. Come guys question is for family. How you suppose to share a family space with stranger. This is ridiculous. As a Bachelor yes 2500AED is more than enough to live a simple life. To make it simple here the basic expense for your better idea.AS A BACHELOR:(PER MONTH)DEWA (electricity and water) with WIFI - 650 AED( There are more Bed space available for Bachelor )Travel Expense : 200 AED ( Between two Zone Twice a day. May increase if you travel all the region)Food: 1000 AED ( All three time in hotel) Lets take 150 for other expense still you can save 500 AED per month.AS A FAMILY: (PER MONTH)Rent :- 35000 AED per year(Studio  is available)  ie: 3000 per month.DEWA (electricity and water) - 500 ( Average use )WiFi - 250Travel expense : 400 AED ( Since it 200 For you + 200 for your partner and child)Grocery - 1000 AEDThis it self will cost you around 5150 AED. If your child is in the age of attending school. Then you have to spend couple of thousand to that. I will suggest at least you should have 8000AED to run a normal family life in Dubai.

I have a job offer in Dubai worth 3500 dirhams as a web developer. Would it be enough? I am from the Philippines and I have 2 years experience.

The answer to your question would greatly depend if you feel 3500 AED will compensate all your skills, experience and effort fully. The problem will Dubai is that there is no “standard” salary or minimum wage, and greatly depends on your nationality. But that is crap and nobody should believe that.Point being, if you compare your salary to other Filipino “freshers” (not really new to the working field and have x years experience in the Philippines), 3500 AED sounds relatively okay. Some are even accepting less than that. But compared to Dubai standard of living, 3500 AED is definitely not okay. I personally believe that employers should not pay their workers (especially skilled ones) less than 5000 AED.
