If I get fined( Rs 2500) under Sections 279, 337 and 338 of IPC in road accident case for negligent driving , Would it effect my entry into govt. jobs like civil services?

279- Irresponsible driving337-  For afflicting hurt on a third person338 - Provision for fineFirst thing first — Relax! Nothing major happened.Of course,  you should plead guilty and pay the fine or if it’s is possible, try to resolve it with the victim outside the court. It can be easily arranged with the help of lawyers.Secondly, coming to the point—When you fill up the form— they do ask in a certain section if you’re convicted in an offence. If you are — then you mention it and fill in the details. Easy. UPSC doesn’t debar candidates even after having a conviction in certain cognizable offences. I have consulted a lawyer for your question.Fortunately, he said—under your mentioned sections, UPSC wouldnt debar you.Plus, you are not yet convicted—till then, you are fine anyways. You should make a banana shake now, and get started with your preparation. As some of your lawyer said — it’s a petty offence.Important: Do not let your petty offences effect your preparations. Period. Life would go on, side by side.Good Luck!
