6 Month Or 2 Year Uk Visa

After my 6-month UK tourist visa finishes, can I leave for a day anywhere and come back or is there a certain number of days that I have to spend outside?

Some of the answers given so far are dangerously wrong; in particular, since the question asks specifically about UK visas, any answer making reference to ICE should be disregarded, since this relates to Immigration control in the USA, where immigration legislation is different to that which prevails in the UK.If you have either been issued a UK visa before travelling to the UK or have been given leave to enter at a UK port of entry, it is because you have convinced either a visa officer or a border force officer that ýou intend to remain for the period you have stated you intend to stay. This may have been one or two weeks, or a month, or any period up to a maximum of 6 months. If you stay for the full six months and then return within a short period, the border force officer will take the view either that you obtained your visa by misrepresentation (if you intended to do this from the outset) or that there has been a change of circumstances since your original or leave to enter was granted, and will cancel your visa and/or refuse you entry; if, moreover, he believes you have used misrepresenteation or deception, you will be banned from returning to the UK for up to 10 years. As a former immigration officer, I would take some convincing that anyone who had stayed signicantly longer than they first declared and then returns within at least a year was a genuine visitor.

Is the UK 6 months visa always multiple entry?

A Standard Visitor visa or Short-term study visa granted via entry clearance is multiple entry, as long as on re-entry you still meet the requirements of the visa.Leave granted on arrival for a non-visa national is not multiple entry.

I've 6 month standard UK visitor visa, can I leave UK for a week to travel Europe and re-enter with the same visa?

Read your visa. If it’s a Multi entry visa then you can leave and re-enter as many times as you want during the period of validity. They used to put a label in your passport like this which clearly stated the “Number of Entries”:They probably do this in an electronic form now (paper visas are rather old school) but I’m sure they still provide the same information to you when the visa is issued.

Can I get 2 year UK Spouse Visa?

I am a Canadian citizen. My husband is a UK citizen. If I want to stay in the UK longer than 6 months on a UK Spouse Visa, what are the exact criteria.
I m asking because I have a DUI criminal conviction. It was two years ago. Will it impact my ability to get a two year spouse visa?

When can I apply to renew my 2-year UK visiting visa, which still has less than six months of validity?

You can’t. You can only extend your visa as long as the total time you spend in the UK is less than 6 months. For example if you apply for a 3 month visa, you can apply to extend it for 3 more months and it takes about 8 weeks to get a decision. From a professional perspective it looks like you’re trying to live here permanently using a tourist visa it’s extremely unlikely you will get another one before or when that expires you will have to demonstrate you have a need to visit here on a regular basis you should leave it at least 2 years to re apply. One thing that UK Border Agency watches out for is people seeking to live long-term in the UK through successive tourist visas. From UK Gov website:Your visa may be cancelled and you may get a long-term ban on visiting if your travel history shows you’re repeatedly living in the UK for extended periods.

When you are holding a 2-year multiple entry visa to the UK, how long can you stay for each entry you make to the UK?

In most of the cases, in accordance with Section 4 of Immigration (Leave to Enter and Remain) Order 2000, a six months, 2, 5 and 10 years UK multiple C-visa is issued with a duration of stay for 180(days) per visit. For instance, if an applicant is granted a two (2) years multiple visit visa then the applicant can visit the UK on more than one occasion with a duration of stay per visit up to 180 days. When a Visitor Cease to Exist as a Genuine Visitor?A visitor is required to satisfy an immigration officer that he/she will continue to meet the suitability and eligibility requirements listed in Appendix V for visitors. Leave to enter/remain could be cancelled or curtailed if there is a piece of evidence to establish that either visitor’s circumstances or purpose in coming to the UK or seeking to remain inside the UK have changed considerably that the claim of the visitor to be a genuine visitor has ceased to exist.

UK General Visitor 6 months question, HELP!?

Hello,

I am an American citizen, and my boyfriend is a UK citizen. I've visited the UK 3 times over the past year. I've recently moved to the UK as a general visitor on February 3, 2014, and I will be living and traveling with him for up to 6 months. I do not have a visitor visa, as it is not needed in my case according to the UK borders/customs website. I have been given a hard time and questioned a lot when entering the UK, however, I'm not doing anything illegal and was completely honest with the borders' agents with my intentions.

In my recent interrogation, the border's agent explained that the general visitor stay is a "rolling" 6 months and that my previous December 2013 visit may count towards my 6 months. Here are the dates of my visits:

January 2013 (for a week)
September 12-22, 2013
December 22-29, 2013 (this is the only visit that is recorded in my new passport)
February 3, 3014 - ?

I was under the impression that the 6 months maximum stay is every calendar year, and my travel in 2013 would not count. I have a flight booked back to America on June 10, 2014, however, I would like to stay until around July 23, 2014, if possible. I don't want to break any laws due to my ignorance. I've read that the general visitor is allowed 180 days, and 180 days from February 3, 2014 is August 2, 2014.

Basically, I want to know if I am allowed to stay until July 23, 2014, considering my previous visits and entrance date. Thanks!

Us citizen coming to uk for 3 Months on a tourist visa HELP?

I met a guy online about 12 months ago and we have become good friends. I have asked him if he would like to come and stay with me at my home for 2-3 months so that I can show him the uk.

He is about to book his flight and I am panicking now that he will not be granted entry to the uk. While he is here he will be able to stay at my home and as he has a disability he will receive his disability money each month when he is here but I will be providing him with food etc at my house. I work also.

Is there any reason why he would be refuse entry for that long !? Also does he need to contact uk embassy in his state to let them know he is wanting to come here

Please help as I am so concerned as he has saved up for his flight and it is alot of money for him to spend to just be sent home

Do I automatically get a 6 months multiple entry visa for the UK even if I intended or applied to visit for 2 weeks?

Generally speaking, yes unless, for exceptional reasons the issuing authority restricts it. However, if you sought a 2 week visit, and then stay for 5–6 months, you will be unlikely to get another visa in the future.
