If you were at a bar right now what would you have

If you could have any kind of chocolate bar right now what would you pick ?

Don't want to seem boring, but I always pick the same (my favourite) and that's the mighty TOBLERONE.
Have a star for such a sweet question.

Who do you wish were here with you right now?

My mother, hands down!

I haven't seen her in 6 1/2 years (since I fled the fundamentalist polygamist cult I was raised in.)

I wish we could talk, and I could tell her amazing life can be.

I wish she could see what amazing people her grandchildren are.

I wish I could take away her fear by telling her the truth and setting her mind and heart free.

I wish I could watch her as she explored her freedom and had the chance to make real choices in her life.

I wish she could find someone who would love her for the amazing person she is; someone who she could have a partnership with and just enjoy life and all it has to offer.

She deserves all of this and so much more. I hope that she will break free and allow me to return the favor of taking care of her. She taught me to work hard, to be creative and show love for others through service and caring. She taught me honesty and integrity.

My happiness will never be complete as long as she is a prisoner.

If you were given a million dollars right now, but the condition was you had an hour to spend it, how would you spend it? Why?

Can I keep what I buy with it? I’d buy a million dollars worth of gold. I’m pretty sure I know a couple of places that could total up that order in about an hour.

If gold’s not available I’d buy some reasonably safe stocks off the stock market. Granted the stock market always has risks, but I’m aware of enough reasonably stable companies that a million dollar investment spread across a few of them would be fairly safe.

Plenty of other options exist, bearer bonds, cashiers checks, money orders, any number of financial instruments could be purchased to shuffle it off as spent but spent in a way that most if not all of it could be retrieved at a later time for some other purpose.

Are you going to create a bunch of arbitrary conditions that stop me from buying gold, stocks, financial instruments and such? OK fine:

Can I buy a company? Or 3? I know some old school mom & pop stores still operating in downtown areas that are just hanging on. I know them well enough that I could drop a cash offer and buy them out fairly quickly. The return on investment might not be great, but it would be property and a business that would provide at least some income over time.

Why mom and pop stores? Because I’m talking about businesses who’s owners I actually know and could possibly get a hold of and complete the transaction with only an hour of time. Trying to do that with a large company or corporation, or a franchise you would not be able to complete your purchase so quickly. These are people I could hand a briefcase of cash to and have them sign over the deeds and be done with it.

Not going to let me do that either? Hrm….

Screw it, I’ll probably blow it all on eBay. I actually know what categories to target with high end items that would retain their resale value.

Basically there is any number of ways that I’m going to try and create long term value as quickly as possible.

Poll: If you were at a bar right now, what would you have?

A sense of horror and despair that this was all that life had become for me....sitting in a gin mill....with all the possibilities that had lain ahead of me when my soul embarked on this particular life’s journey? Something like that....like David Bowie’s character in “The Man Who Fell to Earth”, perhaps

If you were writing your autobiography right now, what would be 5 events or things that would have to be included?

Hello,

One: my parents failure to be one.

Two: child sexual abuse .

Three: me understanding women.

Four: life.

Five: death.

Ciao!

If you could go back to school right now, what would you want to learn?

I would definitely study law.

Back in the mid-1990s I had a change to get a full ride to a law school. The caveat? I had to study IP law. I also had to sign a commitment to work for the company for a set number of years after I graduated in order to repay for my tuition to law school.

No problem.

So why didn’t I do it?

My late husband at the time was fighting a major battle with a congenital heart defect. He was in and out of the hospital for a 2 year time period and ultimately had to have a life-saving valve transplant.

He couldn’t work as a software engineer so I picked up the slack.

I was working my regular full time job and doing part time consulting in the evening and weekends to keep everything covered.

The timing was bad. There was no way I could have gone to law school at that point.

The opportunity passed and I never made it. By the time my husband was on the mend, the program had been filled and there were no more slots.

No matter what is happening in the world from a technological viewpoint. The smartest, best educated IP attorneys will always be at the top of the game.

Trust me on this.

If you were going to the nightclub right now, what clothes, makeup and hairstyle would you have?

jeans blouse and shoes no make up as i don't wear it and my hair down just brushed

What advice would you give Donald Trump now if you were his personal attorney, given his seemingly mounting legal difficulties?

Fight. Stand up for the basic rights to confront one's accusers, to be secure in one's persons, papers and effects, and most of all, not to be subject to ruinous penalties over trivial gripes. Besides, he's the champion of the people. He must fight, for the same reasons Longfellow Deeds would have fought, had he been a real person.
