A Courtroom Drama Where The Main Character Is Defending Him/her Self. Can Anybody Think Of One

That's the beauty of the show. You can't help but love him, but you can't help but hate him for what he did either. You start out by feeling sorry for him, loving him for his passion of Chemistry, and his unwanted encounter with cancer. Then you start appreciating his desperation, his self-righteousness and him standing up for Jesse and in the face of drug-dealers. You start thinking - hey, he's just a good guy in a bad situation. He's doing it for his family. Then things start heating up. Lives are put in danger, he starts relishing small successes. He forgets often that cooking was simply a means to an end. His cancer may be going away - why does he still have to continue then? His wife leaves him. He lies, deceits, gets involved in things way beyond what he initially signed up for. His greed and addiction get the better of him. Innocents die. He starts going down a path which leads to him to alienating his family, friends and everyone elseIn a final act - he runs away. But only to come back in a last act of vengeance and atonement for his past sins. His family at a distance and taken care of, his pseudo-son - Jesse - finally relieved from his sordid state, he dies of circumstances which were his own doing. If not a happy, but a satisfied man. It's hard not to hate him. It's also not hard to understand him either. Which makes us love his character even more.

My boyfriend was arrested with felony battery yesterday?

First off why does your friend have her stuff at his house?

Second, he punched a woman. I don't care how much you are taunted or hit, you never strike a woman. Not only did he strike her, he used a closed fist. She had injuries to her, he did not. He goes to jail. To hit someone to knock out two front teeth (unless they are a meth addict) is one really hard punch and might take more than 1 punch, adding validity to the fact he hit her more than once. If she was a small girl and he is a guy, there is no excuse. He's an idiot. Hope he becomes a boyfriend to Bubba, his cell mate. Get better friends and get a better boyfriend before you're knocked up, he's in prison, and you are addicted to crack. Go back to school and make something of yourself and leave all the drama behind.

Did anyone else find Harry Potter Book 7 disappointing?

Well, yes and no. I mean, I absolutely LOVED all the Dumbledore stuff - nobody is perfect, etc etc. I was disappointed with the seemingly random nature of the deaths (like throwing darts at a dartboard) - I mean, I was expecting at least one of the trio to die. But there were a lot of promises and hints JK mentioned that she never lived up to, things like:
- What Dudley saw when the dementors attacked
- The locked room in no. 5
- The veil
- The farewell from the dursleys
- a non magical character doing magic
- fawkes
- why why WHY the malfoys weren't arrested after the final battle
- And the ending. "all was well". What kind of last words are those. I mean, come on!
- The taboo thing. If he had the power to do that, why hadnt he done it earlier!

That being said, I did enjoy the book immensely. It was fun, enjoyable, in many occasions funny, and there were some lines that I thought were very clever (eg. Of course its all in your head. But why on earth should that mean its not real?).

I guess I'll just have to go write my OWN harry potter book. With gangsters, and aliens and fabulous prizes for all my readers and....

Anybody being bullied at school plz answer this question?

It hasn't wanted to make me be famous.
However them bullying me has given me such a hard shell and I am so much more confident. I now cant be classified into 1 group...but many groups whilst the ones that bullied me can only be classified into one group (if you get what I am saying)

So in them bulling me I have actully gained more friends over the past few years as my confidence grew loads.
Now if I see someone getting bullied I will stand up for them.
I am no longer scared to say what I think
I no longer care if they dont like me....cos I dont like them so there is no reason for me to lose sleep over it.
I am also not scared to fight back

From my experince You can stand back and let it happen you have to fight for yourself (not literatly but defend yourself). From experince I know not to go teachers with what is happening as they were manipulated themselves by the bullies and told me not to relatilate...What did that mean...A further two years of it. Only after I started to defend myself did thye start to back off. But hey everyones situation is differenct

You say do I want to be successful... Well I am still at school...one of them dropped out and the other has lost nearly all her mates so I can say even though I didn't feel the need to be more successful then them I am.

Ride through it.
Defend yourself...If they make a remark about your hair..>Just turn around and say something like at least I am no sheep and dye/have the same hair colour as over half the people in this world.....I know its lame but its the only come back I can think off.
It does get better
Sorround yourself with people who make you happy...Bullies hate to see people happy. So if they say something...choose to ignore it or retaliate...Then get back to the jokes you wre having. Laughing is a great pill to get you through it :)

I wish all the best and I know one day You will come out on top... :)

In the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, irony is used often. One example of this is when Atticus and Scout are discussing why the Ewells don’t have to go to school except for the first day. It seems almost as if the Ewells have the privilege of being able to skip school whenever they want to. Why does Scout have to go to school when the Ewells do not? As Atticus and Scout discuss,“If I didn’t go to school tomorrow, you’d force me to.”“Let us leave it at this,” said Atticus dryly. “You, Scout Finch, are the common folk. You must obey the law.” He said that the Ewells were members of an exclusive society made of Ewells. In most circumstances, the common folk are who your parents tell you to be better than, but compared to the Ewells, being a part of the common folk is a positive thing. In addition, being a member of an exclusive society is also usually a positive thing, but in this context is it a negative thing. This is only one of the many ways Harper Lee uses irony in To Kill a Mockingbird.
