A customer from Cavallaro's Fruit Stand picks a sample of 3 oranges at random from a crate containing 80?

To find P(R>0), or the probability of at least one rotten apple, you can find the probability of R=0 and subtract from 1:

P(R>0) = 1 - P(R=0)
P(R=0) = 76/80 * 75/79 * 74/78 = 0.856
P(R>0) = 1 - 0.856 = 0.144

What country would be best suited to start up an agricultural business growing hemp and why?

The United States, specifically Colorado at the moment, although you could always look into getting infrastructure set up in other states that are on their way. I would caution against looking at hemp as an industry that one has to get a jump on the competition, keep in mind that the upper limit of the industry is very far off, we have 7 billion people and counting that can be clothed, housed, fed, and fueled largely by hemp, not including all the job creation involved in the growing, processing, etc to get this valuable resource from the field to end product. My number one piece of advice based on my research and connection with industry leaders would be to start small to medium sized, establish a demand for the end products before planting and do everything you can to achieve vertical integration from the get go. I highly recomend the new book Hemp Bound by Doug Fine, it contains some very powerful insights and pointers for anyone looking to get involved in this industry. Also, keep in mind that in the United States, the whole reason that this plant was made illegal in the first place was solely to serve the interests of industries that would have never been what they are now had they been forced to compete with hemp - this includes the pharmaceutical industry, the timber industry, the synthetic textile industry, and the fossil fuel industry. (I am not claiming that hemp can replace petroleum as a fuel source - there is much more research to be done in this sector at the moment, but I will say confidently that hemp can replace any if the petroleum based plastics, fabrics, building materials, etc in use today wreaking havoc in the environment.)The point is, lets not treat hemp like another commodity that anyone can corner the market on and become a billionaire with like one could with the many products that can be replaced by hemp. There's plenty of room for a huge amount of individuals to make a very decent living somehow related to the production, processing, and use of hemp. Hope this answers your question! Best of luck to you!

Does Walmart deserve its bad reputation?

Absolutely not! This is going to be a long response and I hope the naysayers will actually read it and weigh my comments since I have AND still do work for Walmart off and on for more than 15 years. Like anywhere each location is only as good as the management in that location but where the company shines is through corporate policies that protect the associates. Our stores pay is not fabulous when you start but like any where entry level is not going to provide you with a private jet and 6 weeks vacation but even having said that we have always paid more than minimum wage. Our starting pay is now $11 an hour. For every 30 hours worked you earn an hour of paid time off. We have a 1 800 number provided to us by our company for call outs. Our equipment will lock us out after 6 hours if we have not taken a meal break. If you work in a hot area like outside or in back in the trucks the company provides bottled water and in extreme heat even Gatorade free of charge for us. Our ability to purchase stock at cost and with what ever amount you can comfortably spare(I do $25 a payday) allows people who never dreamed of being able to own a piece of a company to do just that. As for the scheduling, yes there are alot of part time associates but what no one every tells anyone is that there is a web site made available to us called Walmart one and this website not only shows shifts that are available for anyone to pick up but daily in our stores there is usually an opportunity to stay longer or come in earlier. If you have a decent work ethic and are reliable you can promote quickly and work steadily full time. I wont go into a lot of things such as how much the company pays towards things like the stock purchase, 401k, and life insurance but know they do pay in as well. I take pride in my customer service skills and my company, and am proud to say I work at Walmart
