A Few Days Ago I Was Called For An Interview

After Interview, No call back, what to do?

Some companies have a pretty intricate process when hiring someone new. After the interview, many perform background and reference checks, and must get approval from the powers that be on a pay-rate before they can make a formal offer. All this takes a few days, and even longer if you happened to be one of the first few interviewed. With all that and the hiring manager being out of town for a few days, it's not necessarily a bad thing you haven't heard anything yet.

I'd give it the rest of the week and extend another phone call on Monday. If you strike out again, you could always contact the human resources department to see if the position has been filled.

I had my interview at AMC 5 days ago & they said they'd call me in a couple days, soo why haven't they called?

You did not get the job. In the next interview, i want you to do something that will make your life easier. Look at the interviewer and say "Am i getting this job? You won't hurt my feelings if you say no, but i have to work and i need to know."
They will tell you the truth if they think you will not yell at them (some people yell, that is why they make up that "5 day" thing..

So I had an interview with Victoria secret a few days ago and haven't herd back from them should I call?

Im 19 with little work experience but I was in a group interview with two other ladies that look and probably are much older (early 30's I'm guessing) that already had full time jobs and were looking for a 2nd job. All she did was ask everyone to tell us about ourselves and all I could say was I'm a student with a marketing major and my little sales experience. She didn't ask anyone any other questions and said since it was hot (The ac in the mall was broken and its was hot in the whole mall) She'd just call us that night to set up a second interview where she could really ask us questions. But its been four days and I haven't heard from them.

I had a phone interview with Google 4 days ago and I still don't have an answer. What does it mean?

In declining order of likelihood (imo), here are the likely scenarios:1. The interviewer hasn't entered their feedback into Google's applicant tracking system, and your Recruiter doesn't know how to proceed.2. Your interviewer has entered their feedback but your Recruiter is busy/overloaded (or simply is disorganized) and hasn't noticed it or acted upon it yet.3. Your Recruiter is waiting on the Hiring Manager to provide direction on next step (HM's, however, only play this role for non-eng functions and/or one-off, single-hire positions (ex: regional XXX director), not bulk hire roles (ex: SWE).4. Candidate experience and/or time-to-hire  simply aren't that important to your particular Recruiter.  Even if they didn't have an answer as per #1 or 3 above, they should still provide you with a courtesy call/email to let you know that.  In Google Staffing it's referred to as a "no-update" update.5. Your Recruiter is simply OOO.6. Your Recruiter is no longer at Google. It doesn't necessarily mean that they've already decided to pass on you.  If  they had, your Recruiter would have notified you already (assuming #2, 4, 5, or 6 isn't the case).Solution for any of these scenarios above:1. Call or email your Recruiter to ask or an update.2. Call or email your Interviewer to let them know you haven't received an update (they will poke the Recruiter).3. If you were referred by a Google employee, ask them to poke the Recruiter.

Job interview, no call back yet?

I had a job interview 4 days ago with a Renaissance Hotel by Marriott, and I thought it went really well. I had knee surgery about a month ago, so I went to the interview still on crutches, hoping it would leave the impression of a good work ethic? I dressed my best, and tried to make the crutches appear to not be an issue, and I think I succeeded at doing this. The woman who interviewed me told me she was excited and thought I was the perfect candidate for the position I was interviewing for. The interview was later in the day (6:30pm) so the person who I normally would interview for the 2 interview had gone home. She told me that she would call me to set that up, but didn't give me a time frame, and being so nervous I forgot to ask.
Later that night, I emailed her a thank you letter portraying my excitement and interest in the position and thanking her for her time and she responded the following night saying,
"It was a pleasure and I would love to have you on the team...
HR will be in contact to set up your drug screening"

I haven't gotten a call back to set up the 2 interview, nor to set up the drug screening. I don't want to call and ask about the status yet, because I don't want to come off as pushy, but I'm worried that I didn't get the job? I'm really desperate for a job and the money.
Do you think I basically have the job, or should I move on and try somewhere else? When would be an appropriate time to call them to get an update on the hiring process?

How long does it take to receive a call from HR after the interview in Capgemini?

It may take a week sometimes. So, i will suggest you to wait for few days. After that you can call the manager.

Why hasn't the interviewer at Primark called me back?

I had an interview at Primark for a sales assistant position a few days ago. The interview didn't go too bad, and they told me that they'd call me back on the day of the interview if I'd got the job.
They still haven't called me back.
Some friends I know had an interview on the same day, for the same position, and they've already started their induction days.

Does this mean I haven't got the job?
Surely they'd have the deceny to call me back and inform me that I was unsuccessful, rather than just simply leave me out in the cold?
And should I call them instead, and ask them what's going on? Or would that make me sound too desperate?

Thanks for the replies in advance :)

How many business days should one wait after a job interview to make a followup call?

At the end of the interview you should have agreed with your interviewer on a time you'll get feedback. You should hear your interviewer tell something like:I'll tell you within a week. There's a second round of interviews planned on #date#, you'll receive feedback regarding today's interview X days before it.I'd like to talk about you to my co-worker who's on vacation now. I'll call you after he comes back on #date#Or something along those lines. If they don't tell you anything, just politely ask about when they think they'll be able to give you either an answer or some feedback for a follow up interview.Once that date is agreed upon, if they haven't called you by the time they should, I usually wait no longer than 3 days to send a very short email asking what's going on.Agreeing first on a date will avoid you worrying for nothing before that day.It gives you "the right" to ask for feedback if you've received nothing within the delay.Every time I've had to send an email like this, it was well perceived.

When should I call the hiring manager? I missed a call 2 days ago with a voicemail asking to schedule an interview. I called back 1 day ago and the manager wasn't there. Today is Friday afternoon, is the weekend too long to wait?

Yes. You should ave called again
