A Good 1vs1 Pvp Multiplayer Game

I have a turn-based, multiplayer (1v1) mobile game and some players are requesting a 'vs CPU' mode. Is adding this a bad business decision? Will app growth slow down?

I think you are looking at the wrong factors of whether this is a good idea. If players are asking for it, they will usually be happier when they get it and you'll probably get a bump in downloads. Launching a big new feature like single player campaigns can sometimes re engage existing lapsed players as well. However, you need to balance that against how much it will cost you to add it to the game. Will it add value to your already successful game or are you throwing more money on something that isn't profitable now.Because in the latter case, don't do single player because it distracts you from your core strategy which is head to head.

What esport games would you recommend for solo players who don't work in teams and prefer one-on-one PvP or deathmatch?

I wish I knew more about you! I would love to make a more personal recommendation, but I’ll just go over what membership in the community of each 1v1 eSport says about you.Starcraft (and RTS) - if you like to feel like a mastermind, and you don’t particularly like competitive banter, this is a good franchise/genre. You rarely get more than a “GLHF” and a “GG”. Pro scene is almost entirely South Korean. Respectful, intellectual, prestigious.Hearthstone (and CCG/TCG) - HS players, like SC players, enjoy feeling like masterminds. It is impossible to communicate with your opponent outside of a handful of emotes. Skill in Hearthstone is math-oriented, especially in the “Arena”. Creative, intellectual, reserved. The Fighting Game Community - This is the hardest to generalize; not just because there are a staggering amount of different fighting games played competitively, but because the community is the most diverse out of all eSports. Arcade culture gave life to the FGC, and it has never lost its face-to-face nature or its diverse community. Hype, social, intense.Battle Royale (PUBG, Fortnite) - I included these instead of team shooters (CS:GO, Overwatch, etc.). These games can be played competitively as team games or solo games. This community probably has the most “normal” members among eSports games, and I believe the scope of these games’ appeal is more vast than we yet know. You won’t start winning games for a while, though. Patient, technical, creative.I’m sure I missed some, but those are the titles/genres/communities that I can speak of from experience.

On mobile synchronous PVP games: what would you answer if someone asked you "what is more hardcore, a PVP game that you collaborate with teammates or a PVP game that you play 1 vs 1"?

It depends on the game.Really a hardcore PvP game should be “Zero Sum” where you lose “points” (or other scoring system doodads) when you lose and win the same number of “points” when you win. So you have to win more than you lose to progress. Any other form of progression (money/gold/exp) should be lost and won in the same way.Team based or 1 v 1 doesn’t matter that much as in a zero sum game, you will only be able to be carried by a team so far and you will have to be replaced if you are rubbish.

Where can I find an online Strategic Conquest game to play?

Hi Brent, I think I found a strategic conquest game for you. It's called Strategic Domination, but it's the same game, just redone to be a multiplayer online version. It's on a free site that has several other strategy games.

I remember playing this myself back on my old SE 30 way back when... Have fun.

Games like Maplestory or other PC games?

Elsword if great, it's what I'm addicted to now. To enhance the graphics, just open up Options real quick and change Texture from low to medium.
There's enough quests, six characters with three first job and two second job classes each, PvP is either 4v4, 3v3, or 1v1.
And, it's an MMO with an actual story. The quests follow the story. You can skip it, but it really makes you feel like you're ACHIEVING something in the game.
Kinda rare to see that in an MMO.

Each character has their own style, you can look up the Elsword site.

It's free, and my favourite thing is that there are no weapons you can buy with real money (but everything else).
I like it because it keeps the game fair for those who wouldn't be able to afford them.

So... Yeah.
Sorry if I sound cheesy, I'm just too into it. xD

PS: Level cap is 60 right now and they just had a HUGE update.
