A Historical Romance Manga

What are the best historical romance mangas?

The best is "Emma", trust me. You will not regret reading it. And then I also suggest "Hadashi de bara wo fume" and " The Bride of The Water God" and "The Earl and The Fairy" also known as "Hakshaku To Yosei" and "The erotic fairytales" as the name hints it's also a smut. "Ludwig Kakumei" this one is also of smut, and horror genre. Emma is the best one in my opinion. It also goes by Emma: A Victorian Romance.EDIT: “Tale of Felluah” - There is something strange about this one. It is romantic but it is not unrealistic. I also love the art, it is so beautiful!

Good historical romance manga?

Does anyone have recs for good historical romance manga? I especially like the kind similar to an arranged marriage where the leads fall in love with each other :p but no gender bender or art thats in a style like they used in the 80s manga, you know? These are my favorites, which you guys should totally read if you haven t, but I m sad because I finished the latest one and now I need something else to read, lol! It s fine even if the manga isn t historical

Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen
Stepping on Roses
The Wolf King s Bride
Reimei no Arcana - definitely my favorite on here! agh, I wish there was more :(

Historical Romance Manga?

These are historical ones:
Mademoiselle Butterfly is one of my favorite historical romances (although it's only 2 volumes, it's definitely worth the read!)
From Far Away (Kanata Kara) is one of my favorites ♥ ~ 14 volumes, similar to FY and Anatolia Story
Emma is pretty good, only 8 volumes, set in historical England
Planet Ladder is good too
have you read Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaiden? it's the prequel to FY
Arata Kangatari is by the same mangaka as Fushigi Yugi although it has a male protagonist, it's pretty good though!
Stepping on Roses and Tail of the Moon are by the same mangaka and Stepping is pretty cute
Hanatsuki Hime is adorable although pretty short (I think about 2 volumes?)
The Story of Saiunkoku (admittedly I got bored about halfway through the anime and only read the first vol of the manga, but you might like it, it's a cute series just not my cup of tea)
Apothecarius Argentum (although it's freaking hard to find ><)
Hana to Akuma is cute too, although the end is sad
+Anima isn't very romantic, but it's really cute anyway
Iinazuke Ryokan is adorable, but only 1 volume, still a nice afternoon read :)
Two Flowers for the Dragon is cute but sadly CMX failed before publishing the final volume ><

As far as gender benders I really loved W Juliet (although it's set in modern times, it's awesome anyway)

Historical romance Manga please?

Can anyone help me find a Manga that fits this description?

-female as the lead. I hate clutzy and ditzy annoying girls so she has to be useful at least.
-I very much like it when the female is beautiful/pretty
-historical setting obviously
-I would prefer the lead being a lower class and the male lead a higher class or some kind of powerful being but it doesn't have to be
-I also like when antagonist falls for protagonist but again, it doesn't have to be.
-I don't mind it being fantasy but I don't like gender bender much.
-I don't like shounen

Please help! I can't find any Manga that suits my taste

Historical romance manga searching?

Amakusa 1637
summary:
A group of friends during their Senior Trip upon the cruise ship Victoria, suddenly get pulled back in time and separated. The main character, Hayumi Natsuki, arrives in the year 1636. In Japanese history, Christian rebels revolted in 1637, led by a young man known as Amakusa Shirou, resulting in thousands of casualties. However, when Natsuki arrives in the past, she and her friend Eri discover that Shirou Tokisada is already dead. Meanwhile Natsuki, according to the village folk and Shirou's parents, looks exactly like their late son (never mind the fact that Natsuki is female). Natsuki, the kendo champion of her school, heir to her family's Hakuhouryuu kendo style, simply cannot stand by and watch innocent people be persecuted simply because they are Christian. Soon she even becomes known as an angel, sent from God, whose coming was prophesized 25 years before. But what will she do when old friends become new enemies?

What mangas have elements of historical romance?

It depends on your idea of a 'Historical' manga really. There are lots and lots of Chinese Manhua that are Historical Romance's, but not as many Japanese Manga series. However, some notable series you may enjoy include(these all include a range of historical romance. Some may be heavily oriented towards romance but other's might only impy it) -Akagami no Shirayukihime KuroshitsujiRurouni Kenshin Inuyasha Hana to AkumaSamurai Deeper KyoKingdomFushigi YugiThese are only the ones that i myself have read and enjoyed, to some extent. Im sure you can use websites such as myanimelist.com to help you look for more manga.

What are the best historical romance shoujo mangas?

The most famous classical is Versailles no Bara. It’s set on pre-revolution France. The romance centres around Marie Antoinette and her bodyguard, who is really a girl.As pointed before, Red River is amazing, and my personal favourite. If you don’t mind a little bit of fantasy, Fushigi Yuugi is a similar manga set in ancient China.Emma is set in victorian London and centres around a young maid who falls in love with her master.Ashita no Nadja is about an early 20th century London orphan.Lady Georgie is about an abandoned australian girl looking for her parents in England.Honoo no Alpenrose centered in early century Switzerland. For more information, here is a filtered list of some titles Search Manga - MyAnimeList.net

Good fantasy/romance/historical mangas ?

Hi! The only manga I've read that's anything like anatolia story is:

Shinobi Life

It's about a guy who's a ninja when ninjas were normal and gets transported to present time and sees a girl who's in the midst of a dangerous situation and he thinks that she's the "princess" he's supposed to be protecting. He eventually realizes and that she isn't the same person he thought she was and somehow goes back in time with him and meets the real princess...but they do come back. So It's similar, but diff too.

Also..kind of, again:

Gekka no Kimi

There's no time traveling, but it's historical..ish. It's about a guy and a girl who are reincarnations of Genji and the girl he adopted from the Tale of Genji. They're drawn together because of that and eventually the guy who's the reincarnation remembers that he is Genji, or more like the spirit of Genji takes over his body and begins to create conflicts in their relationship...

As a last resort, I went on manga updates and searched up anatolia story and looked at "recommended series" on the page. There was this one which looked promising:

Basra:

http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?...

But it seems plain historical

and also this one, which has time travel, but to another world, not back in time:

Kanata Kara

http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?...

and also this one, which is set in the future:

Tokyo Crazy Paradise

I've actually read this one and there's no time travel, but it's set in the future and it's actually really good. It's set in 2020 and society is now a moral mess and laws are always broken and gangs are rampant. The main girl was raised by her parents as a boy since that way she wouldn't be in danger of getting raped (which happens in broad daylight and nobody does anything about it). When her parents die, her and her brothers are now homeless and she decides to go to the leader of a prominent gang who's also her classmate to make a deal. Because of some things, she ends up becoming his 24/7 bodyguard...

What is the best historical shoujo romance manga with good art?

I’d definitely recommend Akatsuki no Yona - badass female heroine, really good art, lots of character development and a really good plot.I also love Ookami Heika no Hanayome - Really cute, lots of fluff and an interesting plot set in historical Japan. The art is also good. It’s a bit less historical, but one of my favourite shoujo manga ever is Akagami no Shirayuki. The art is amazing and the characters are well developed. It’s set in a more medieval setting rather than historical Japan though.Note: I personally prefer the newer art styles for manga than the older art style, so that’s what I base my ratings for art on. I’ve heard Inuyasha is good, but I tried to read it and I couldn’t get past the first chapter due to the art style.
