I think someone tried to break into my house...?
That's a creepy story. It gives me the chills. You could have a cop patrol the street for a night. That's what my mom did when their was this creepy car driving slowly by our house at like 2 in the morning.
Someone tried to break into my car last night, I chased them but they got away. Was chasing them the right thing to do?
How far did you chase them? A few feet, that’s fine. But if you chased them like, a quarter mile, for instance, you don’t know where they’re going, or who or what theyre running to. What if they were with a gang that happened to be around the corner? What if they were armed? Sure you can tell me that you know martial arts or something, but the whole point of learning to protect yourself, is avoiding having to do it.You should actually be focused on why they wanted to get into YOUR car. And not the one next to it. Did you have something valuable in view from the window? Did you park it away from where people could see it? How nice is the car? Ask yourself why they thought it was worth their time to try and break into your car and not anyone else’s.

I was at the gym and when i got done working out i tried to unlock my door and the key wouldn't turn at all. my friends car was parked beside my truck and his door wouldn't as well. i was just wondering if there was a way for someone to break in that would mess up the doors lock from being able to turn. there was nothing i could physically done to the outside, and i checked my wallet and everything and nothing was taken.
Can you shoot someone for breaking in your car?
There are two rules to guide you.In some jurisdictions, you can't shoot them if you have a way to escape. If that is the case, if they are breaking into your car and you are NOT in it, they are stealing material stuff that hopefully can be replaced. Neighbor son keeps trying to break into my car.?
I have filed reports on him with the sherriff and have a video of him can I use deadly force if nessary to defend my family and property he is a 17 year who's parents failed at rasing him. Anyways my bedroom overlooks my front yard could I open the window aim my bow out the window and get him with an arrow. I am a bow hunter so I am a great shot same with my dad he has arthritis but uses a cross bow. It would not be discharging a firearm in public. And I have warned him and the sherriff has record on him and he has served time. Can I do what I must to protect my family and dogs. I live in wa state
Can I assault someone breaking in my car?
Because if I catch the next person who tries to break into my car im going to run out with a baseball bat. My first car was broken into they took the stereo in it. Then about three months later (the same car) someone else stole it and totaled it. And now the new car someone messed up the lock as if they tried to break in. And now I just constantly look out the window with a bat in reach.....(I don't live in a bad neighborhood, and no other car on my street has been messed with)

Have you tried not leaving your cord in the car? Have you tried talking to his mother about it? Pro-tip, don’t talk to his mother until you have captured video of him actually doing it. Then you approach her, ask her for a moment of her time, then show her the video. Tell her this has happened X times, and you’d really like it to stop. Then, if she does anything besides stating that she will make sure it doesn’t happen again, tell her that she has left you with no choice but to go to the police with the video.
