What qualifications and experience will employers look for?
To qualify as a registered nurse you need to complete a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) approved degree or Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing, specialising in the adult branch.

To get onto an approved course the NMC requires you to:

provide evidence of your literacy and numeracy skills, good health, good character and recent successful study experience
meet the minimum age requirement for nurse training – 17.5 years old in England and 18 in Northern Ireland and Wales
gain CRB clearance.

Course providers can set their own academic entry requirements, which can include:

five GCSEs (A-C) preferably in English, maths and/or a science-based subject (for the nursing Diploma); or
the same GCSE grades as the diploma, plus two or three A levels, possibly including a biological science (for the nursing degree).

Alternative entry routes:
You could prepare for a career in nursing by completing a two-year Cadet Scheme or Apprenticeship. Schemes will vary between Trusts, but will usually include clinical placements and a qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Health. For more information on Apprenticeships, visit www.apprenticeships.org.uk. You could also contact your local NHS Trust for details of cadet schemes in your area.

This Is the detailed information about salary of military nurse in India.

Is it possible for a below average student to complete CPL training and get into airlines?

Below average in what way, in what subjects, for what reason? It could be that the person is just plain not very bright, in which case, probably not the best career choice. It can be that the person was very bright and bored in school, getting poor grades, but not due to mental ability, if it had been tapped properly. In some countries, some airlines prefer some college, or a 4-year degree, in others, they look at flight training as “"higher education,” and so they will take candidates in.But you will need to be able to read and understand, as there are many regulations and rules, the training materials call for you to understand systems like hydraulics, electrical, vacuum, etc, and you both have to pass the exams for these systems, but also be able to use the knowledge to tackle problems that occur when flying.you need to understand weather, aerodynamics, be able to calculate fuel consumption etc, so mathematics are still important. If the person is totally lost re math, it makes it all harder. But I have a colleague who is dyslexic and he is a great pilot, knows his systems and can use this knowledge. His handicap meant he had to work much harder in school, but he learned more.So again…..why is the student “"below average?”

What is the life of a Nurse in Military Nursing Service or MNS in India?

Life of a MNS officer is a very blessed one yet very different as of regular army officers, though they get commissioned in same army. If seen from distance every thing looks good but the reality differs. Here I will describe few realities of MNS officer's life;1. They are not entitled for salute other than officers of their own service. An officer of Lt rank is saluted by a jawan of AMC (Army Medical Corps) but even a Maj Gen of MNS is not saluted by jawans or any other junior officers of rest of Indian army other than MNS officers.2.The training of MNS is not a cake walk. But yes if you compare to NDA,IMA,OTA ofcourse the training is very smooth as they do not hv physical training. But MNS officers are looked down upon citing dey do not do anything. You constantly will hear such comments by people(Medical Officers) around you.3.People join MNS to be a part of Indian Army as officer and yes this is the only core in Indian Army which have no personnel equivalent to OR or JCO.They have only Commissioned Officers.4.MNS officer's uniform differ from rest of the Indian Army. They have beige colour uniform. They do not have Combat or Olive Green uniform. They do not hv belt and lanyard though they have stars on their shoulders, which is silver in colour and not golden like rest of Indian Army.5.MNS officers serve in UN Mission also. They get field postings too. They get commendations for exemplary work.6.MNS have only lady officers.7.MNS officers are not given flag cars even beyond the rank of Brig. When they attend official meetings they have to walk down the path to the entrance since their cars are not allowed without flags in parking area. Can you imagine a Maj Gen being treated like this?8.7th CPC was not entitled to MNS. They had to appeal for it.The whole country was entitled for it then why exclude MNS?They are called officers by Indian Army, given the commission but they are very poorly treated as officers.9. MNS officers are not given club membership at most of the units.10.MNS officers get PC and SSC based upon merit of their final year performance.I hope I have made it clear.MNS officers lack proper respect from Indian Army as officers. Pay n perks are very gud but judge the pros n cons before joining MNS.All the best.:)

Police officer or nurse?

lol@ avery. To the people that thumbed him down, its German for nurse. It kind of literally translates to 'sick sister' XD

Police officer
-dangerous- you might die doing it
-usually when you see people its at one of their lowest points in life. Might depress you a bit.
-you can't always talk about what happened if it was particularly garish or something- you can't just bring that home to your kids and partner- the only people you can talk to sometimes are other cops or a therapist.
-you might not be able to handle the things you see. Some of it is pretty bad and you could end up with post-traumatic stress disorder or something. I've known a few cops that its happened to.
-lots of people hate cops or have a somewhat negative view of them. Personally I feel that many of them have a bit too much of a God-complex.
-decent pay but I would say it's not 'decent enough' considering you're putting your life on the line.
-difficult hours sometimes. You could be called in in the middle of the night easily
-people will be intimidated by you

-most people will respect you, even if they don't like you.
-you get to help protect people
- it doesn't take long to become a cop.
-you will NEVER get a speeding ticket.
-exciting, adrenaline pumping work. Lots of variety.

Nurse
-takes longer to become a nurse
-the patients you see will probably be going through one of the worst parts of their life which might be kind of tough.
-have to deal with patients- people are always worse to deal with when they're hurting or sick. You have to take a lot of **** and be patient.
-don't get as much credit as you deserve- people usually credit the doctors over the nurses
-you're anonymous. People come to the hospital, maybe they remember that you were nice, but mostly they just leave and you are as good as just another nameless nurse
-lots of people will think you wanted to be a doctor but weren't smart enough
-may be difficult to see people in pain
-have to deal with bodily fluids...

-decent pay, for the most part good hours. You don't *have to* work long hours or anything. They're in shifts.
-well- respected profession for the most part
-get to help people
-decent job security
-lots of variety depending on which field of nursing you are getting into. It can be really exciting.
