A Little Confused About Skeletons Animals

What is the fire with a cage around it and a little skeleton in it? Minecraft.?

I was digging and I found this underground cave with a bunch of skeletons in it. There was this cage thing in the middle and it had fire and a mini spinning skeleton in it. And no matter how many I kill, there's more. So I was thinking it was like a spawn point? I don't know though. And it has some chests in the cave and I want to see whats in it. How do I get there without dying?

Which animal's skeleton looks the most unlike the living animal?

It is not the inside that counts - it’s about what’s on the outside. A creature that looks remarkably unlike its skeleton would accomplish this deceiving feat in two ways:It could have a high amount of soft tissue compared to bone, orThe animal is characteristically identified by external features like fur and feathers. Before we come up with a possible winner, let us take a quick look.Animals with Unique Features based on Soft TissueSuppose we came across this skull and had no prior knowledge:Would we easily be able to see the elephant in the room? The ears and the trunk are made of cartilage and muscle, which would have decomposed. Elephant skulls helped fuel the myth of the one-eyed cyclops. Here is a similar example:An elephant seal. Once again, it would be difficult to guess based on the bone structure alone.Overall, the elephant or elephant seal would be top contenders in this category - but there are animals with external features even far greater than this.Animals with unique External CharacteristicsAlright, now for some animals that are primarily identified by external features:Porcupines are easily identified by the spines. Otherwise, it is easy to think that we stumbled across some other rodent. Speaking of rodent-like animals:If you guessed that it was a rabbit skeleton based on the large foot, you would have been right. But it also might have been something like an Angora Rabbit, which is the fluffiest rabbit. The same principle applies with certain birds. We could confuse this skeleton with many types of birds, but it is an unmistakably identifiable bird:The peacock is the strongest candidate for looking most unlike its skeleton. The reason is that its primary identifying features extend far beyond its bones, making it difficult to truly guess what it looks like.Beauty is on the Outside? When it comes to winning a contest like this, it’s about what is on the outside. The Peacock wins because it is identified by extreme feather length, shape and color that would not be found from its skeleton alone. Few other animals have external features that reach so far in length, quality, and design.

Do turtles/tortoises have exoskeletons as well as endoskeletons?

Turtles do not have exoskeletons, because the muscles of an animal with an exoskeleton are located inside of the bones. That is clearly not the case with turtles. The shell of a turtle is part of the endoskeleton that is exposed to the outside, but then so is the horn of a cow or a goat. The cow's horn is bone covered by a layer of keratin. The turtle shell is also bone covered by scutes, which are made of keratin. Animals with exoskeletons, such as insects and crabs, must discard their old skeleton as they grow, in a process called molting. A new skeleton forms under the old, discarded old skeleton. Animals with endoseletons simply add additional layers to the old skeleton as they grow. They never discard their old skeletons and just keep the ones they got from birth.

Have you ever saved an animal's life? What were the circumstances surrounding it?

Last year, on a scorching hot summer day, my son Ben and I found a Monk Parakeet (aka Quaker Parrot) under the shade of my car. The bird was motionless and slumped on the ground. There was some blood on its beak.  It was dying.  We almost called 911 but, thinking that was too inappropriate, we put it in a box and drove to the pet store to get some advice. The guy there told us to buy Pedialyte. We went to a nearby drugstore, got Pedialyte, and squirted it with a syringe inside the bird's mouth. After a few minutes, the bird showed some life. We took it home and nursed it until it was able to get up slowly. It started walking like a drunk. We all started cheering. After a couple of hours, I drove back to the pet store to get some bird food. The next day, the bird started feeding. We cheered and cheered. Then it started flapping it's wings and finally it flew short distances. As the days went by, it got stronger and stronger. After a week, it was no longer limping. Once again it was a healthy beautiful interactive Monk Parakeet. Whenever I told friends about how we hydrated the bird back to life, they would jokingly tell me that what I did was beak-to-beak resuscitation. We named the bird Gamgam (not to be confused with Gangnam). Gamgam became family. Gamgam likes perching on our heads-- and pooping too. Gamgam alone.Gamgam with Ben (my younger son)Gamgam with Ted (my older son). My son did a lot of research about Monk Parakeets. We watched YouTube videos of Monk Parakeets. We finally learned that these birds are not indigenous in our area. Then we found some info on the web claiming that most of the Monk Parakeets flying in flocks over the city were from Audobon Zoo. They escaped the zoo and the devastation of Katrina. We started paying attention to the birds outside our house. True enough, some of the birds were Monk Parakeets. Using binoculars, my son noticed half-a-dozen parakeets perching on tree branches or electric wires outside our house. They would leave then return after a few days. My son thought Gamgam was a member of this flock. One day, he let Gamgam go thinking it would come back. But it didn't.So we put up a totem pole outside our house. Gamgam never came back. Farewell Gamgam. We will forever miss you (tears).
