A Person Cares For Human Suffering

What is the word for a person who enjoys human suffering?

Noun: sadistAdjective: sadistic

Estimate the number of people in the world who are suffering from the common cold on any given day?

According to your data, the probability for a person to suffer from a cold on any given day is 14/365 (we assume the probability is independent of the time of the year, which is a rather crude approximation if you restrict yourself to one hemisphere, but might be correct by compensation if considering the world population)
Since there are 6billion people, the number of sick humans on a given day follows a binomial distribution with parameters (6.10^9, 14/365) whose expectation value is 2.3 10^8 (230 million people)

What types of people are callous towards others' suffering?

There are different types of people who meet the definition of callous (either not caring OR not showing care). I feel that since the callousness also includes people who are not be showing their feelings towards others suffering it might include some type of people that  questioner might not be referring to in this question.1) People who don't feel anything at all towards others suffering -These might be too selfish. They are apathetic to others and only concerned with their own wants. These type of people are too consumed into their wants (not to be confused with needs) that they feel nothing about the sufferings of others. These are the kind who are often also are a cause of suffering for others. Also there might be people who don't would not really feel anything about others sufferings because they have a lot going on in their own life's and its simply not possible for them to ponder over others sufferings. These type of people do not necessarily spare a thought to actually have a feeling so they not even apathetic. 2) People who don't show but they do care about others suffering. I would like to believe that this is a bigger chunk of people than those above and these meet the definition of being  callous(just because it is they don't show it or do anything about it). These are at times equally harmful to the people who are suffering since even though feel sympathetic (or empathetic) to the people who are suffering they hardly take strong actions to improve the conditions of those are suffering. They keep their feelings hidden because they are too weak to admit that they have them or too weak to act upon them. Also people are not always the same and their beliefs and outlook towards life changes during the course of their time on earth. A person might be callous in the past but can be caring now or the other way around.  Thanks Joel for A2A- i hope my thoughts on the matter are of use.

Why Do SOME Vegans Not Care About Suffering In Other Areas?

I m a vegan. And i chose to be a vegan because of humanity. The healthcare industry is a $3 trillion dollar industry. Their agenda is to not cure diseases but to treat diseases and keep people ill until they die. They keep replacing dying clients with new ones. They do this by promoting animal products to the public. Most fast food commercials are government funded advertisements. Meat, dairy, and egg consumption have a direct link to cancer. This also targets people of Color specifically. It s absolutely disgusting.

Tell me why hundreds of holistic doctors (doctors who use herbs and vegan diets to heal people) - are mysteriously dying. You think these health care industries want to stop the cash flow? Do you know how much money they d lose if everyone ate plant based and healed themselves? The cure is found in nature and the food you eat.

Obviously, there s no ethical consumption under capitalism, but i m a vegan for the people, not so much the animals. I can t support big pharma profiting off of innocent people dying.

I suggest you watch the documentary What the Health and research Dr. Sebi. He also mysteriously passed away in 2016.

What is the word to describe a person who cares about what other persons think about them?

Self-conscious.

Can you care about human life too much?

Excess is indeed a possibility. If we relativise, human life relative to animal life or plant life, you will see that human life is cared more about - in general - than these. Some of us eat meat every week and forget about slaughterhouses that allow this. They do not see animal suffering but see only human suffering; They are shocked by a homeless person but ignore a suffering dog.In a similar fashion, there are people who give more importance to the suffering of animals relatively to the suffering of humans:I am sure that you personally know or already met some of them who care more about their dog than a homeless person. The proof of that is that they buy food for their dog every day but pass in front of a starving human and don’t even make eye contact. So it is all relative, animal (for instance) suffering relative to human suffering, both inter-relative demonstrate that you can care too much for human life relative to other forms of life and also demonstrate the opposite, that is, that you can care too much about other forms of life relative to human life; Thus, it is a possibility to relatively care too much about human life.
