In your opinion, who won the Thor vs. Hulk fight?
Hulk was the arena champion and thus knew that he needed to give a show for the audience. Even with his limited intelligence, he still understood this concept. Upon entering the arena, he worked the crowd and got them pumped up and ready for entertainment. He undoubtedly recognized Thor, and having fought him before, knew of his strength. Hulk was going easy on him in order to keep the audience interested. He was drawing out the fight and letting Thor get in a couple of good licks. He needed to make it look good after all.Of course, Hulk is still much stronger than Thor. Even baseline. If the fight would have continued on past Hulk’s patience level for entertainment, he would have grown madder and madder up to the point where Thor would have been crushed, magic or no. I imagine the lightning magic would have had a profound impact on Hulk, even injuring him initially, but in the end, the more injured and embarrassed he gets, the angrier he gets. We all know what happens then…The answer to the question as shown by the movie is that the fight was a draw. Thor was winning by virtue of his lightning magic, but had the Grandmaster not intervened, the eventual outcome would have been a victory for Hulk.
