What counts as clerical experience?
Yep, those are the basics. Do you have any computer experience? I mean, obviously you use Y/A! and apparently you have no trouble typing, spelling or using punctuation as your question shows ~ you are well on your way to having the experience they want for a clerical position. If you have the opportunity take a night class (3-4hrs per week) in Microsoft Office or something similar ~ that will give you the basis for any office career. Lastly, a great phone manner as well as top presentation at interviews will get your foot in the door ~ companies don't usually mind training people who look willing to learn and present well for the position. Good luck on changing your career path. EDIT: Don't worry too much about your typing speed. These days it's a lot to do with presentation & knowing how to work your way around (usually) Microsoft Office. For your resume, use any experience you have in petty cash/book keeping/accounts/reception or answering phones/filing/typing correspondence/office procedures/data entry(spreadsheets)/email/internet...etc... EVEN if you've only used it at home!! Seriously what you want from them is an interview so throw everything you have at your resume. I can help if you would like to email me...even if just to help you with your covering letter...I compile resumes & help with job applications in my spare time. Good luck!!
Who is that girl in the novel 'One Night At The Call Centre' whom Chetan Bhagath meets at the train in the beginning of the novel?
The girl who meets Chetan and narrates the whole story was God himself. Remember at the end when the girl asks the author as to which story seems more plausible? The one with God or the one without him?In a similar fashion, Chetan Bhagat tried to give a mystic touch to his novel by including a part with his interaction with God.
Books with stories and characters like Desperate Housewives or..?
Hey. I'm looking for a book series with characters and stories like Desperate Housewives or Ugly Betty. I like really witty, clever, dark and humourous stories and these tv shows are very satisfying. I've really been wanting to have a good read lately and these shows describe what I would like to read. :) If you can help, that would be great!
SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!! I got a really weird phone call from a 603-422-0000?
My fiancee and I just went and applied for out passport last week... and i got a call around 8:30 last night saying that they had a problem identifing my identity.... and that they wanted me to send my signature, yearbook page with my picture and a photocopy of the front cover of my year book, photocopy of my social security card, and my drivers liscense and birth certificate. I really think I am getting scammed cause the application already had my social security number, my signature, my drivers liscense, and birth certifcate.
What book do you think was a waste of your time? Why?
I must admit I'm the kind of reader who LOVES every book she reads. And I'm obssessive- if I pick up a book, I have to finish the series no matter what. And despite this nature, in the past few years I've found an increasing number of books I abhor.1. Obviously every Chetan Bhagat book other than One Night At The Call Centre. I found this one book a little whimsical and a wee but realistic, and comparitively well written.2. Twilight. Never has there been a bigger let down. I'm a huge fan of the supernatural genre and when Twilight came out the librarian described it to me as being 'about vampires and werewolves in human society' which naturally got me super excited. Then came the actual book...I even gave New Moon a chance because I thought the storyline might have improved but...3. Pretty Little Liars. I still don't have a clue about why those girls were running around town pursued by someone named A. If somebody I didn't know was sending me freaky texts I would have called the cops a long time ago.4. Fifty Shades of Grey. In my defence, my procedure for choosing books is bad. I don't do online research and screen what I read, I just go into the bookstore or the library and feel the vibe of the book. In this case I even ignored the bad vibe because the book jacket had the makings of a well written book. I'm not against sex, or BDSM-and associated proclivities... In fact I've read quite a few papers and theses on alternative sexual proclivities. This book was badly written trash. Save trees. Stop buying Fifty Shades Of Grey.5.The Oath of the Vayuputras. Again, a huge disappointment after Mr. Tripathi's wonderful first two books. It felt like he was in a hurry to leave the office at 5PM and hashed out something passable to leave on his boss' desk. 6. A Stranger In The Mirror. I did not read Sidney Sheldon's books in the order they were written, but this one must have been an earlier rejected work that got published after he became popular because it was a pointless shallow story, without his usual plunges and rises. That's all I can think of right now, hope that helped. :) And apologies if there are typos, I wrote this from my phone in a moving car.
