Some stranger knows where I live, and I am scared out of my mind!?
Ok, so I am 14 and on facebook 24 year old black (not being racists guy asked me to be my friend and I thought we had that I had friends who knew him and I was going to ask them later who he was, but I was looking at the wrong thing, I have no connection. I leave my facebook page on all day so when I was at school he tried to chat with me but I didn't answer because I was at school. When i got home from school I notice he tried to chat with me, and also commented on a bunch of my photos saying i was cute and hot and stuff. I erased all the coments and him as my friend (I was only friends with him for a few hours) and now he knows what town and state I live in because that was on my profile! I am scared out of my mind he's going to come kidnap me or something! advice very nesacary and appreciated. I told my parents and they thought nothing of it! I'm crying! I don't want to be raped and kidnapped!
I don't know how to talk to friends, relatives and strangers. I am not able to be friends with them as quickly as others can. I am unable to respond in a correct manner when I talk to others. It is too scary for me. What should I do?
Fear is the sole reason of your problem. Just overcome that and your communication skills will start rising exponentially.You may try interacting with strangers first as if anything goes wrong, they are just strangers.Start practicing, lose fear, start to grow exponentially, keep practicing.
How can I get my friend's baby niece to stop being scared of me?
My friend's niece is 18 mos. old, & sometimes when we go to store, my friend would tell me to hold herniece while she goes to the bathroom. She's pregnant, so she has to use the bathroom frequently. Then, the baby hollers, screams, & flips out of my arms & runs away, & STRANGERS think I'm just a kid, trying to annoy the baby & yell @ me, saying, "Put her down! Leave her alone!" The baby's stroller is broke, & her mom can't afford to buy her another one. She's looking for a job & can't find one. Me & my friend take the baby out so her mom can have a break. I'm 24, BTW. I have a baby face, & peopel think I have a jovial personality, so everyone thinks I'm a kid. I've never in my LIFE done the baby any harm or traumatized her in any way. She acts like I'm a maggot-faced alien. The baby lets everyone else hold her. She's known me her whole short life. She'll even go to a stranger before me. I don't know what's wrong.
Why do I open up to strangers more?
Because strangers are technically anons.When I said technically, I mean they are similar but not exactly the same. It’s easier to open up to strangers more because they do not know you like a friend would. A friend can be judgmental and it can be scary because they might think of you differently afterwards. Furthermore, a stranger is someone that be “discarded” if things do get worse while it is harder to let go a friend.People would think that a friend would be judging when it comes to opening up, but the truth is, it’s about finding the right people to open up to.And also the “first impression is lasting impression” plays a big factor as well. You can literally recreate yourself to be a different kind of person in front of a total stranger. And I feel that can be counted in whether or not why you open up to strangers more.
My friend is scared of everything! help, please?
This girl is scared of everything. She has anxiety, but it seems like so much more then that. She wont go out in public without having make up on. She hates being a lone with strangers. And she flips out when it comes to nite time. There was a bear on the side of her house (its common up here) and it hit the trash can and she ran into her mothers room her whole body was shaking, she began crying, and she passed out because she thought someone was breaking in even if their is a burst of find or something falls she freaks out. her family isn't very supportive they just say haha your scared of your own shadow, its so mean but she really is scared so much more then the normal person. She doesn't sleep much because shes scared she will wake up and someone will be in the house. She said nothing has ever happen to make her scared but she just is and I feel so bad for her. She takes anxiety med but when that girl gets scared even that high lvl dossage of valium (10 mg) doesn't control her. Whats wrong with my friend?
Have you been told by a stranger that you are scary or intimidating?
I have been told I'm intimidating several times, usualy by men. I'm a fairly tall young woman, at six feet one inch, and for that reason alone apparently many men are intimidated by me. I'm not a pushy person, not extraordinarily confident or forthright, I don't even like to talk to people.The most recent time I was told I was intimidating was by a friend of my boyfriend. My boyfriend’s brother, S, frequently has dinner parties, as he is a chef, and of course his little brother and family are invited often. S also has roommates, T, a single father with two sons, doing a wonderful job of it, too. T is quite a character, too. He is a big guy, about six one himself, maybe 245 pounds. Cocky, outgoing, and really fun to hang around. He is also one of those guys with a past, you know, the one no one messes with because he used to…Anyway it was really unexpected that night, all I had been doing was talking, which was unusual for me, in a crowd. T and I were discussing something we both had strong opinions about, I don't remember what exactly, probably parenting. I didn't do anything or say anything innappropriate, as far as I could tell, it was just a friendly debate, and he suddenly walks off, like he's is pissed!I let it go, but as the night drew to a close T sought me out and appologised. He said he was sorry, he just felt uncomfortable, it was weird for him to have a woman look him level in the eyes.At first I was kinda irritated, I mean, what, you can't talk to a woman unless she has to look up to see you? I even said as much, and he backed out of further discussion real fast, saying, nope, nothing like that. I must have sounded more irate than I was, because he left the room fairly quickly after that.I mean, what's the big deal? I've had a stranger in the bar tell me it's intimidating when I look him in the eyes, I've had a familiar acquaintance actually ask me not to look him in the face, it made him uncomfortable! What am I supposed to do, kneel to talk to men? Some men just need to grow a backbone and deal with it!I'm glad my boyfriend doesn't feel the same way. He's about 5 inches shorter than me.
How can I help my dog not be afraid of strangers?
I adopted a super sweet female (spayed) bullboxer last weekend from a local animal shelter while my sons were out of town. She never barked, was very loving, snuggly, happy, and playful. Last night my 14 year old son came home and she acted like she was scared to death of him. She barked and growled all night, and cowered in the corner with her tail between her legs. We tried having him approach slowly, feed her, pet her, and talk softly to her. Nothing worked. She continued barked, growling, and cowering in the corner. (She didn't act aggressively towards him at all though.) This morning, she started again with the barking and growling. When I adopted her my boyfriend was with me and she didn't bark or growl at him at all so I don't think it's a fear of males. I'm sure she'll get used to my son in time, but what can I do to help her get over her fear of new people? I'm afraid right now to have any company at the house for fear she will bark and growl at them too.

yes last year when i was in 5th grade a really creepy guy started to follow me to and from school everyday and then watch me when i was out with my friends i told my mom eventually as he started trying to talk to me and when i ignored him he tried to grab me into his car. my mom went to the police but he only got a caution but this was about 1 and a half years ago funny thing though he has since been sent to prison for stalking a woman for 2 years , freaky deeky. :]
