A Thick Piece Of Skin Ripped Off Of My Foot And It Stings .

Skin peeling in strips on big toes and ball of foot!?

For quite a while now I've been getting thin and fat strips of skin peeling on my big toes and the ball (pad) of my feet. The worst is on the big toes and though it doesn't seem too unsightly, it can be pretty sore. Also, it catches on socks and carpet which compound the pain.

I'm getting really tired of it. I work in the medical field and my first thought was athletes foot/fungal infection. But that typically happens in between toes and itches. This is much different. Regardless I've been trying Lotrimin X8 weeks with no positive results.

So anyone have this problem? Of course I've tried strong moisturizers and aloe, anything I could think of. I've considered other common skin problems, like Eczema, but that is usually characterized by dry and patchy spots, so this is really strange to me.

If you've had this and saw a Doctor, please let me know! Ty!

Is it okay to have thick pieces of skin to be easily peeled off my heels?

Hi. I have very small dry patches on my heel. I scratched the area on my right foot and a big chunk of perfectly ok skin fell off. I now have a strip of missing skin across my heel. I am worried and have on idea what to do.

Why is a tiny piece of skin below my cuticles stinging and coming off? What is this?

This has happened to me before, but it's happening again so I'm questioning the annoying process. A tiny piece of skin below my cuticles on my pointer finger is stinging and coming off. I can lift it up (not all the way of course) like a little flap. It stings and if I stick it in my nose (I don't pick my nose, when I had this as a child I stuck my finger up my nose and I found out it disturbs the skin). it just hurts the skin more. So, WHAT is this and WHY is it happening?
Thanks so much and have a great day, Blessings!

Why is the skin at the bottom of my feet peeling off?

Several reasons. We all shed our skin every month.Feet that are peeling, may have dermatitis or athletes foot. You should see your Dr to get diagnosis before treatment. You can do the treatment at home once you have dealt with the issue. The skin on our feet, gets wet, they are in a dark and warn environment. Perfect place for bacteria to grow.People spend so much time and money on cleansing their faces and bodies, the feet get ignored. If you have yellowing thick skin on your feet, you need to buff it off or have callous remover to cut it down by layers. You need to scrub off dead skin cells, just like the face and then moisturize them. It's the forgotten skin. But first thing, you need to see if you have athletes foot, dermatitis or a fungus. The rest is easy to do.

How can i make the skin under my feet tough or thick?

i'm starting to work out for the first time in my life. My feet are soft really soft. Now that I'm working out i'm having really big blisters under my feet, and it hurts so bad i have to stop running. Is there a way I can make my skin tougher or thicker, or is there something i can do so i wouldn't suffer while I'm doing physical activity?

Under my big toe a thick flap of skin is exposed. What could it be?

If you wear flip flops or sandals, you are probably just getting a little friction on your toe from the shoes. Flip flops/sandals can pull on the skin and cause small tears, usually this skin will tear enough to resemble a flap. Just keep it trimmed and add a bandaid, it will go away, once the skin grows back.
