A Word For Someone Who Doesnt Like Something Because Nobody Else Likes It.

I want this name.. nothing else.?

I'm not going to give my opinion on the name, because I'm sure you don't want that. But, as for actually naming the child:

You can try and convince them, but remember, you and your partner are having the kid together, so, you both have to agree somewhat to a name. You can't just decide what name your going to give the baby because the father needs some input too! It's HIS kid too!
Try and find out some stuff he likes and you need to compromise. That's what being in a relationship is all about. You need to learn to compromise.
If the baby's father isn't your 'partner' then you still need to realize that it is HIS baby too, and that he has rights for the kid too. Think about what he wants, and not just your wants.

BUT, if it helps (it did for me!): Show him all the perks of the specific name he doesn't like and try and modify or slightly change the name to also fit his preferences. Good luck!

Does anyone else hate the name Emma?

Oh my God, yes! I completely agree!

I find it extremely childish and immature. It sounds like something a person would name a baby doll, not a child. Although, I pretty much dislike all "Em-" names, because they're all destined to become common, dull and overused. Personally, I know at least five Emmas in my school alone (one of which is one of the most snobby, stereotypical "popular girl in need of a reality check" people I've ever met in my life). I find Emily, at least, a bit more adult-sounding - but not by much. And I would never use it on account of how ridiculously common it is.

My own "Emma" name is Isabella. Or, to be specific, Bella. I could barf every time I hear it (no offense to anyone who likes this name - it's just not my taste). The first thing that comes to mind for me, is that abominable "Twilight" series. Subsequently, the literary critic in me wants to hang herself. That awful, poorly written series also ruined the name Rosalie for me. And, I've actually been hearing of women actually considering the "name" Renesmee for their child (?@#!). There's even an entry for it on babynames.com.

Well, my rant is over, haha. Apparently, the flu makes me a little more liberal with my opinions than usual :)

Do any guys like to be told "I love you" or is that something only girls want to hear?

First I really love this question. Why? you might ask? Because it makes you think.
There are many different levels of love, one never really knows when to use those three little words. Some say love is often used and mostly misunderstood.
My take on love is that you can love anybody and everybody and you should. But you should only say it if you truly mean it.
I love my friends, I love my family and I even love myself. I love strangers and even love the woman who walked out on me after 25 years of marriage.
I love hearing I love you, no matter who says it as long as they really mean it.

Love is not only words as we all know love is an expression of emotion that should be shared. Some people do shy away when they hear someone tell them that but that is only because they do not really understand what it means.

Many think it means I am in love with you and I want you to be in love with me and no one else. But people it does not mean that. It simple really love means with all the good emotions one person can feel, I feel with you.

I am an American but does that mean I hate Canada or the French or Iraq. etc...Well no. I may not agree with a lot of people but to hate even one person in my book is wrong.

Ok so I am old and I ramble on a bit and to get to the question asked. I love hearing the words I love you and I love telling others I love them. I would hug the entire planet if I could to show how much I care.
