A Writers Journey One Of The Best Reviews

How can one learn to write good product reviews?

I am Co-Founder of Ikinaki - A Social Product Reviews and Discovery App. Through our journey of creating and launching this product, we’ve learnt a lot about what shoppers value the most in a product review. Here’s a list of simple yet extremely effective things you can do, in order to write a helpful review:Always have pictures/videos. In case of a product review, a picture really is worth a thousand words. Shoppers don’t trust what the e-commerce website shows them. They want to know what the actual product looks like once it’s been delivered. If the product category is a complicated one like make-up, technology, electronics, appliances - a video will work than a photo. People will want to see it in action, to believe it’s working right.Give it a score. Some shoppers value long descriptions, some are happy with just an aggregate score in order to make a quick decision. So having a score upfront always helps. It will be better if you can score it on individual parameters like price, shelf-life, durability, comfort etc. (depending on product category) and then provide an aggregate score.List pros and cons clearly. Every product will have it’s pros and cons. It will be extremely helpful for any shopper to know exactly why they should buy a particular product, and what could be deal breaker. Again, bullet points will help.Give comparisons if possible. It is always good to know why a certain brand or product is better than another. How multiple products or brands compare with each other is the most comprehensive way to make an informed purchase decisionList features/ingredients/accessories (whichever applicable). Additional information never hurt anyone. And in certain product categories, is extremely important. For example, allergy information in food products. If you’re looking to be a great product reviewer, join Ikinaki - Android Apps on Google Play today! What do people get out of writing reviews on ZOMATO? Isn't it a time waste?

In general people on zomato write reviews only for two reason:If one get pissed off from the food or service provided by the restaurant and want to crush the image by writing poor reviews. They usually rate 1 or at max 2. They are below level 4 on zomato scale of foodies as they only open zomato account to curse the food outlets. To make money. The question is how people make money from zomato without any credentials. Its a complex matrix. What you have to do is to collect pictures of food of some restaurants either by visiting or by copying it from somewhere else like blogs or social media. What you have to do next is to create a profile on zomato with username like ****foodie***. Half of the work is done here. Now what you have to do is to post pics of the restaurant, rate it and write reviews about it. Note posting pics is more important here. You will get points for it to get to next level foodie. Nobody is gonna question what you rate or write for the restaurant so you can just copy content from other review. Zomato has no limitation of posting photos, rating and reviews in a single day. Users willing to go to next level foodie faster write reviews for 3–4 restaurant in a day. So you can do the same. As soon as you cross level 8, you are ready to make money. Now checkout the restaurants in the area where zomato categorized you expertise of the area. Contact the restaurants in the area and tell them you are level * foodie on zomato and who wanna review. Restaurant owner also want to maintain a decent rating on zomato but S. No. 1 customers will not let them to do honest business & now they are forced to entertain so called foodies. If they wanna make sure of high ratings. So you can ask for money in return of decent review or some may offer themselves. To keep you updated there is one more term recently introduced in this business called Table. In which foodies make a group & collaborate with restaurant owner to come, eat food, take pictures & then they all rate & write top class review about the restaurant. Average rate for Table is Rs. 2000/- may go higher depending on your level. The perks of being foodie is atleast you will be offered free food everywhere. You can easliy recognize other foodies in money business on zomato and instagram. Under their name they write “DM for collaboration”

What is the best screenwriting book that you have read?

I'm going to the store tomorrow and I want to know if anyone has a few in mind that I should look for. I'm looking online to see what they have...I assume the Screenwriting for Dummies is good...I'm going to get a Ferret one as well. Just to make sure I am doing everything right. The vet said I am, but I want to read about it anyway. Anything else besides the "for Dummies" books?

How do I become a bestselling writer?

The question is "How do 'I' become a best selling writer?"It is not "How does 'one' become a best selling writer".But I will answer the second one as a an exampleFirst of all, best selling writers do not (do not) write a book, give it to an agent, who gives it to a publisher, who gives it to a distributer, who gives it to a reviewer, who gives it to a newspaper, who make sure millions of people read the review, and hopefully buy the bookNo.A best selling writer writes a book for multiple platforms in mind. Multiple platforms means that it is designed to be read by a reader, seen on screen by a viewer, heard by a listener (radio, audio book), and discussed by criticsThere are - of course - writers who naively write to be read, and find they have written a best seller. J.K.Rowling is one such writer. Artur Conan Doyle was another. But once their books cross the line from book to screen, the book will be a best seller. Not because it is well written (which may be the case) but because marketing forces now come into play.Broadly speaking, a book may be the starting point for: Screen presentation  (Movie/TV)Serialisation (magazines)Educational studiesMerchandising (clothes, toys, games, brand licensing)Dramatising (Theatre, radio)TranslationsApart from these, the author will get interviews, lecture tours, guest appearances, etc. related to their book/moviesAlthough the author may appear to be in the front seat of these events, in actual fact they have little control over what is happening. At some point they will have handed over licensing Rights to various agents who will promote the book as a product rather than a 'literary' itemThe author will then be pressured to produce more of the same. In some cases they can, but 'One-time Wonders' are common enoughSo, how does one become a best selling writer? You write something that depends on a market that has little to do with writing

What is your review of Novoneel Chakraborty (author)?

Novoneel Chakraborty, In one sentence - "He's is the actual stranger throughout your reading journey who makes you realize your worth".Reviews depends on one's perception & here is my perception. If you have not read his books go for it. He doesn't write just a story. His story has multiple meanings, morals. That too depends on reader how he/she adapt it. I've read Stranger Trilogy and I can say It's a best story to know your worth. One moral I learnt is - "Don't push other to change for you, Push yourself" & we do exactly opposite in our everyday life. We expect everyone around us to change for us and we just want to be as we're.There are & will be many more authors who write in such a way that can change our life, our vision. And I feel Novoneel Chakraborty is one of them.

How do you write traumatic/emotional scenes without making the main character whiny?

I'm not usually one for worrying about people's opinions over characters/plot, but this one comment has stopped me and made me review my story. I posted a short excerpt for opinions on describing a character travelling from one place to another, and someone said that my main character was way too whiny. I don't mind harsh reviews in the slightest, but this has made me reconsider my beginning.

The point of my story is that we're introduced to the main character when she's at an all-time low. Obviously she's sad and upset. Her dad has died (clichéd I know, but it gets better!) and her mum has all but abandoned her because she's dealing with her own personal grief. This chapter leads to her developing beyond her grief, ultimately learning to live again.

So my MC isn't feeling great. But it's only just occurred to me how bloody annoying my MC seems! She is whiny, but I have no idea how to put across her grief without making her whiny, particularly when it is in first person POV.

I would love for someone to read through all I have so far via this Wattpad link and give me honest, brutal opinions. To me now all it looks like is pages of her whining in different places and scenarios. I would be so grateful for advice before I continue.

Do I simply need to cull some pages, or think of another beginning entirely?
