Why do so many black athletes marry white women?
I dont wanna sound racist or anything, but is it really a coencidence that black men with money just so happen to marry caucasian females? Or could it be that these women cling to the men because they know of their future success? It kinda seems like the only way a black man can get an attractive caucasian female, is if he has alot of money............

Thanks for the A2A. It turns out that the percentages (by PUMA) range from 0% to 4.85%.To answer this question, I ran two tabulations based on geography. One tabulation counted all the people in each U.S. geographical area called a PUMA. The second tabulation counts all the single white females from 40–49 years old in the same PUMAs. I then merged the two together, calculated the percentage of 40–49 SWFs in the PUMA, and sorted by the percentages.There are significant issues in trying to do this by city, as you are requesting, because the Census Bureau breaks the data up by PUMA and not by city. It could be done for large cities (ones that are made up of many PUMAs), but that would leave all of the smaller cities out. If you really want the data by city, you can take the tabulation that I’ve created, and add together the PUMAs that make up the large cities. I’ll show you how to determine where each PUMA is in a bit.There is no census bureau category called ‘single’. Do most white American women date black men now?
OK, what brought that question on? Most white women in the US date and eventually marry - get this - white men. Some white women may go out with black men but that is a small number and a small percentage. While the number of white women in the US who will date and consider a more serious relationship with a black man are greater in number today than say 20, 30 or especially 40 years ago, that number is still a trifle.It is worth mentioning at this juncture that more black women, many more in fact, are dating and marrying white men than ever before in the US. The number of marriages like this have DOUBLED in the last few years. Yes, I said MARRIAGES and DOUBLED. Some black women will ONLY date white guys too. Part of the reason is that black men are very averse to marriage, but that is another subject of debate. My friend Mike in NYC, a white guy, seems to only like black gals. Eh, “whatever floats your boat” I always say.Why is all this happening right now? Well, we have been building up to it in the US for a long time. Self esteem- black women vs white women?
The Black community has more realistic body images for women. We prefer our women to be plump, with big butts and big breasts, but slim women are accepted and loved also. Our community has room for a Halle Berry and a Queen Latifah - both of whom are seen as beautiful women, because they both fit within the broad standards of African American female beauty! The White community has very unrealistic body images for their women - they expect their women to be tiny and scrawny, but they are also expected to have big breasts (but they can't have big butts or hips!!!) That's nuts!!! No wonder White girls starve themselves with anorexia and bulemia - the only way to achieve the "ideal" White woman's body is through starving yourself to the point where your menstrual cycle stops, so the decline in estrogen will cause the loss of secondary sex characteristics like fat accumulation and big hips and butts. Then, you have to get plastic surgery to get big titties attached to the emaciated skeleton. Don't get me wrong, there are a LOT of beautiful White women - the NATURAL ones, who have grown women's curves! Sadly, the sick "beauty" standards that dominate White culture dictate that those women are 'fat' and 'ugly'!!! Your community could learn something from ours in terms of having a respect for the different varieties of female beauty.
How do Asian guys feel about Asian women dating white guys?
It's frustrating and emasculating for Asian males. It's much easier for a White male to date an Asian female, than for an Asian male to date a White female. According to OkCupid, white females are 38% more likely to respond to a White male than an Asian male. Asian women marry outside the race at twice the rate of Asian men. Not only are there fewer possible marriage prospects due to Asian women marrying outside the race, but trying to do likewise (date White females) is an uphill battle for Asian males.My experience as an Asian male bears this out. Once in a while, when meeting new people, I'll be surprised and taken aback by how friendly a lady is to me. Upon reflection, I realize what made the interaction surprising is that the lady is White. Later I'll usually discover the White female is in or has had some earlier romantic relationship with a non-White male. Given the prior stats, you can see how this is unusual.When the majority of one's interactions with members of the opposite sex are devoid of romantic possibility, it's easy to internalize the perception that one is not sexually attractive. Furthermore, mainstream media gives Asian males few role models to emulate in social and romantic situations. Kung fu moves don't count. This is emasculating for Asian males. It can breed bitterness and frustration - accusations that Asian women are betraying the race, and racial epithets in their direction like 'banana' - yellow on the outside but white on the inside.All is not doom and gloom for Asian males though. I'm rooting for John Cho in the new ABC sitcom 'Selfie'. This is a breakthrough role for an Asian male, and I believe indicative of a shift in societal perceptions, even if the ratings for the show are challenged. In recent years I have been noticing an increase in the number of younger Asian male-White female couples, as well as non-traditional interracial couples of all combinations. This will help balance the dating situation and move us towards that promised post-racial society.
Have you ever seen a white woman babysitting black children?
Okay, every time I go I to the park, I usually see these babysitters. The women are black and the children are white. The park that I jog at passes through Park Slope, a wealthier neighborhood not far from the Barclay's Center. The woman babysitting are almost always black or non-white. I usually don't see white women babysitting. As for the children, they're always white and I've never seen white women babysitting black or other non-white children. Specifically, I'm speaking about black women usually babysitting white children. Why does this seem to be the norm? Does it stem from slavery, where "Mammy" took care of the Master's children, or even during the Jim Crow era, when "Mammy" was a maid and nanny taking care of their Employer's children? This is usually never the other way around. I don't really see white women babysitting black children. It's just not seen.. no matter what. If they do babysit, the children are almost always white or biracial (white/Asian). Would you ever be a babysitter? What's your take on this? Why does this seem to be a norm in the babysitting world? Is it pointless to try and date attractive white women as a minority in the US if you live in the south?
I'm American, but I don't live in the South and I have to admit that my experience with that part of the country is pretty much limited to driving through it on my way to and from Florida.But I do know that the South tends to be more religious than the rest of the country. I’m sure you’ve heard it referred to as the Bible Belt. White girls in the South are predominately Christian and are more often from more conservative branches of Christianity. I suspect that may have something to do with the reason there may be fewer white-Indian couples there than in other parts of the US. Why? Because a girl from for example, a Baptist or Evangelical background will be tend to be more reluctant than most girls to date a non-Christian. And the perception is that most Indian guys are Hindu. And even if a girl were willing to overlook that, she knows that her parents won’t approve. Not of the fact that he’s of Indian ancestry (though sadly I am sure there are parents that wouldn’t like that either), but that he is of a different faith. This may also explain why you are more likely to see a white girl with a black guy…they are far more likely to share the same religious background.Add to that the impression (right or wrong) that a lot of American girls have that Indian guys will date them for fun (or just for sex) and that they will eventually dump them to marry an Indian girl. And that even if an Indian guy does marry her, his parents will never approve of her. Does that mean that they don’t find Indian men attractive? Not at all. But these factors may mean that they don’t even think about dating Indian guys.Do all American girls think this way? Of course not. There are a lot of girls that find Indian and Indian-American men quite attractive. I know I do and my girl friends tell me often that my Indian boyfriend is a hottie. And I know a good number of Indian-white couples, both dating and married. But then again, I don’t live in Atlanta. And I do think the more conservative religious culture there may play a part.Is is pointless? No, I don’t think so. But I think it helps to know what you might be up against and why it may be more difficult in the South. You have to make girls see you first as a cute guy, not as an Indian guy. To do that, they may have to get to know you as a person. Be a friend first. Let them get to know you, to learn how fun you are to hang out with, to see what a great guy you are, and you might be surprised.
