A lot of Indian Actors are Burden on Indian Cinema.Let’s begin with Abhishek Bacchan. He has a star surname and that’s all. He has been able to survive all these years in the industry because of this surname only. After a series of flops he has finally made sports franchises as his prime business and acting as secondary. Good for us.Fardeen KhanWas he even an actor? Well yeah since he played a lead role is some movies whose names are long forgotten.Zayed KhanHe is also an actor, at least according to Google. Like his brother Fardeen Khan, he has given a series of flop films and then disappeared from the silver screen.Sonam KapoorShe is so over confident with her acting skills and fashion gyan. In reality, she is simply not fit for both these fields. She probably might start some classes like how to be over confident when you know nothing and how to over-react to everything.Katrina KaifOh god, why does she even exists in film industry. Dancing skills are nil and so are her acting skills. But, she was the find of the great Salman Khan (another burden), so she is of ocurse one of the best actresses in the Indain film industry. Shushant Singh Rajpoot is a chocolatey lad fit for the romantic roles and has actually done all the romantic role. Therefore, to be honest, he has not shown any versatility as of now.Ayushman Khurana is also almost the same (except in Shriram Raghavan's Andhadhun). He will go a long way though.Vicky Kaushal is, yeah, versatile for from the very beginning he has done films like Massan(a social turbulent), then Love per square foot (soft romantic comedy) and then Raazi(Patriotic) and Uri(patriotic).His versatility is reflecting.But then if we talk about Rao, his roles are largely from every sphere of life. He is an innate actor, that's all.His Shamshabad of Gangs of Wasseypur(2012) is as versatile as Vicky of Stree(2018).His Deepak Singh of Citylights(2014) is as different as Newton Kumar of Newton(2017).So clearly we haveRao> Kaushal> Khurana. Is it true that actors begin to lose their emotions after being cast in more movies?
For some reason a few years back I came up with this theory that after being cast in a lot of movies, actors begin to slowly lose their emotions, to the point where they become puppets to the director. This is because they spend the majority if not the entirety of their career following the orders of someone and not being able to direct the movies themselves. Also I can imagine after reading a script. Except of course, actors who also direct movies.
Who was a better actor: Devanand, Dilip Kumar or Raj Kapoor and why?
All the above actors are Legends and there is no comparison between the kinds of films they have done. But as in today's times, numbers speak volumes so I would have to go with Dilip Kumar Saab even though I have watched and liked Dev Anand's style and songs of his films more. Dilip Kumar came quite early in the industry and was known as the tragedy king since the remake of KL Saigal starrer Devdas. I would cite an example from Wikipedia that explains how the biggest film award Filmfare has bestowed the maximum honors on him. "Dilip Kumar is widely considered as one of the greatest actors in the history of Hindi cinema. He holds the Guinness World Record for winning the maximum number of awards by an Indian actor.He has received many awards throughout his career, including 8 Filmfare Best Actor awards and 19 Filmfare nominations. He was honoured with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993." It is said that even Amitabh Bachhan had copied few of his styles into his persona which is why people thought that it would be the greatest combination of talent when both of them were casted in Shakti by Ramesh Sippy. For that he received his last Filmfare too. His comic timing and roles of the common Indian villager is what appealed to the masses most. Raj Kapoor had more appeal in the foreign countries. If Dev Anand had done more movies like Guide (1965) he could have had more share of awards and acclaim. Raj Kapoor did connect with the masses in many movies yet there was something missing as he grew older. Dilip Saab much like Big B had many innings as he came back in 80s with Karma and Mashaal and created a legendary character when he came again with Subhash Ghai in Saudagar where he was nominated for the Filmfare last time. Dilip Kumar will surely stand taller amongst the other two stalwarts.
