Achievements of Bangladesh in 2012

Bangladeshis, what do you consider the greatest achievement of your cricket team?

1.Winning the ICC qualifier with the least amount of time among all the nations. Thanks to Akram Khan the legend of Bangladesh Cricket.
2.Defeating Pakistan,a test playing nation in WC after ICC qualifier win which paved the path to Test status.
3.Getting under pressure because of a newbie nation and shutting every other nations mouth with wins in home and away matches.
4.Destroying Zimbabwe ODI team in several Series to improve ranking and let face Zimbabwe face all the heat that Bangladesh had to face even though we are just in our maiden decade of Cricket world.
5.Winning home series against NZ, a record for Bangladesh.
6.Indian embargo of NOT playing with Bangladesh and even admitting that every other nation needs to do it erupted the anger and the answer was Upset In Wc,the total annihilation of Indian Cricket team to Bangladesh.
7.Bangladesh making class players like Sakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Masrafi bin Mortoza, Mushfiqur rahim, Nazimuddin, Abdul Razzak, Rubel Hasan who crossed 145km/h mark what Indians dream of.
8.There are so many achievements and the best one was Annihilation of Australian Ashes team to Bangladesh.
9.I admit Bangladesh conceded lots of matches and they will do that in future but certainly Cricket world is changing and we have to play more matches than ever. If you go through the history of other Cricketing Nations, Only Pakistan had better starting because of good bowling of spin, reverse swing and pace. Bangladesh have nothing especial and this makes Bangladesh much more stronger! We play Team game and we already showed we can win and win comprehensively.
10. After 100 years of Cricket history Bangladesh will have at least 4 WC trophy in home and that is the future I 'm looking for. Amin.

The best university in Bangladesh, so far, is the University of Dhaka. And, my reference comprises facts like number of students, history, cultural eloquence, diversity of students, location, variety of departments, faculties, scopes for higher education, long list for admission fights, and of course job opportunities.University of Dhaka aka Dhaka University was established in 1921, and is the oldest and the largest public university of Bangladesh. Why do we have military present in East Asia?

the same reason we have troops in europe.....mobility reasons, if something happens that needs a quick response its faster to deploy troops from overseas......say korea does something stupid, its more practical to send troops from japan that can be there in a couple hours then to try to round up troops in the US to send......plus most of the countries where we have overseas bases are huge allies ( japan and england for example)

How come Bangladesh, a Muslim majority country, Celebrates "pohela Boishak" as New Year?

In South Asia, the New Year, Harvest, Spring and Monsoon Festivals were considered seasonal events without any religious affiliation[1] . However, as the Vedic faiths developed in ancient India, seasonal celebrations intertwined with religion. Later, as Muslims and other religious groups assimilated with the local culture, these festivities became cultural events for non-Hindus.Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year) coincides with the Tamil, Malayali, Punjabi, Oriya, Bihari, Sinhala, Assamese, Lao, Cambodian, Thai, and Burmese New Years. The Bengali Calendar’s (Bangabda or Banglashan) structure is akin to the Vikramaditya Calendar, which is used in other parts of Northern and Eastern India. However, the Bengali Calendar begins in the year of 593 CE, while other regional calendars begin the year 57 BCE. In the Mughal Emperor Akbar’s time, the celebration of Pohela Boishakh began as beginning of tax collection.Today, Pohela Boishakh is a widely celebrated event in Bengal, it celebrated by Bengali people of all faiths. Traditionally, people eat Ilish Maach, wear red and white clothing, and participate in the Mongol Shobhojatra. Pohela Boishakh celebrates the rich culture, customs and traditions of the Bengali people. Among Muslims, Pohela Boishakh is usually secular, while Hindus have some religious customs associated with the New Year. Why does Bangladesh celebrate Pohela Boishakh? Because it’s a part of their culture!Muslims across the globe have secular New Year celebrations that are associated with their cultures. In Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and other Central Asian nations, Nowruz marks the traditional new year. In Indonesia, Satu Suro is the traditional new year for the Javanese people. Personally speaking, I celebrate Jude Shetal— Bihari (Maithil) New Year. There’s nothing wrong with celebrating one’s culture.Footnotes[1] On the Origin of Hindu Festivals
